Finally, the comparison I was waiting for! The same character from 2 different movies. A fist full of dollars: Present toys and the Good bad and the Ugly: Side show...Thank you so much! Glad I got the sideshow version! Present toys are always a hit and a miss! I didn't like the long tassels on the present toy's poncho.

No one is mentioning SNAKE TOYS version..which is comparable to both of these.

Must admit I’ve never watched these films!! Seen clips and stuff tho 😅 Great comparison video anyway, I do wish Sideshow would make a bit more of an effort with their stands though! But both sculpts looking good, and the soft goods and accessories are impressive! Lots to like about each figure 👍🏻

I agree the Sideshow stand is a let down, considering how much it cost and being a limited figure collection.

Look for the money the present toys one is not bad at all, maybe doing a few mods it could look better. Remember I was going to sell him right after this video. But like I said once in hand, things change.
The Preacher is a definite must, one of my favourites in my collection.
Like you I'll be pre-ordering Harry as well ( hopefully).

Yes the Sideshow is definitely better, but a big difference in price point lol.

I grew up on these movies. Mother's milk, so to speak. It is so nice to see this guy getting multiple brand attention now. VERY cool comparison vid. One day, I will grab one, probably the Sideshow. Great stuff! Can't wait to see the display environment you stake out for this guy! Should include piped in wind sounds...barking dogs...have a bleak and barren landscape...he was the precursor to Mad Max in a thematic sort of way. (As was his original samurai counterpoint, Toshiro Mifune in Yojimbo) Love the Man with No Name!
If you want the Sideshow one Les, don't take to long. Limited number and a wait list already on Sideshow
No special display in mind, but will have to think of something if I go for the rest of the figures lol
@@toddscollectibles980 I hear ya! I am considering one soon. But of all people, I can see a cool display for this guy. At least put some sand and grass in with him! He needs that dry desert look around him. Begs for it! Maybe some day. I know you are re-doing a lot regarding your displays.

Present toys did a good job for Indiana Jones, but not so good for Blondie. SideShow is better if you want a Clint Estwood representation for the collection. LOve the comparison! Thanks Todd!

It's hard to find the blonde from Sideshow. A taller body, and climate-controlled pants can improve Ptoys. Thanks for the comparison

Yes lots of things you can do to improve the Present toys one. Which I will do at some stage. I know in America the Sideshow one is getting hard to get hold off, but in the UK it's not so much a problem at the moment.
But it will be as time goes on, thats why am really glad I got it.
The Sideshow one obviously looks wayyyy better tbh. The head sculpt is fine imo, don’t know why it gets so much hate. It captures the character and Clint from that movie perfectly. The Present Toys one is just the same Trevor Grove head that was originally released with the Iminime Blondie years back that has been recasted and re-released multiple times by different brands. It’s a good likeness but still looks a bit oversized with every release I see. The unhatted head is a great addition with the Present Toys but I don’t see why I would want to display him without his signature cowboy hat.
If you’re low on budget and just want a representation of Eastwood from that movie, get the Present Toys. Otherwise save up and afford the Sideshow one!

I totally agree with you, the Sideshow one is miles better. In fact am really put off anything Present Toys comes out with, alway short bodies. It was only a week later I sold the Present toys Blondie. If you look at the next video I did after this one, you can see I did a custom stand with a Backdrop for Blondie. Must admit though I do think the Preacher from Sideshow is really good.

That's _crazy_ how cheap the gun belt is on this thing. Never would've thought they'd make one without the bullets; and the material is so cheap and thin lookin'. If you had the Redman one that comes w/the wrist cuff and saddle bags, you probably wouldn't have gotten this one. At least you get the un-hatted head...but that Snake Toys one will probably be a lot nicer.
*And I'm totally not trying to be a buzz kill. I hope you genuinely like it. I just get worked up over stuff I'm passionate about, and Blondie is definitely one of 'em.
Well, I've taken the money bag and wrist band and put it with the Sideshow one. Made a custom diorama stand with a background. As for the present toys one, I will sell him off cheap ( as it will have two bits missing) as I have no room for him.
Maybe show the new display in a future video. 🤔

Gotta admit was expecting to see Klaus Kinski thought he was Blondie😵😵😵😵. Both nice figures and both good in their own way ,but Sideshow figure is the real Gucci handbag and Present toys a good copy.

8:52 Did the wrist cuff actually come installed upside down? That's crazy if it did, like the thumb loop just rests on the forearm lol. Figured it would've been bagged in the box, like the Redman Toys re-releases. Only downside is it'll probably end up completely deteriorating since it's cheap pleater. But yeah, I'd love a real leather one, cause it is a cool accessory.

For mine I took a couple of bits from the present toys one and added it to the Sideshow one. Plus am making a simple diorama base. Just to put it on another level, maybe even a Backdrop.

I am indeed very glad that I have the one from Sideshow.😂I like the Present Toys version a lot less than I thought I would like it. I also have Sideshows 1/4th statue of Blondie on pre order. Can't wait for that to arrive😬

Then you have the best one, sideshow did a better Job. Yes the head sculpt on the present toys one is very good. Sold that one now and I have done a whole display for the sideshow one. Shown in my grail DX figure.
My Sideshow Preacher is amazing.
There are a lot of head sculpts that tends to look good or decent from one spesific angle, but lokks like shit once you start looking at them from other angles. Its been such a long time since I’ve seen a «perfect» head sculpt. So long actually that I’ve lowered my expectations on them to be honest. Now I just feel like I only have to see who the figure is supposed to be, and I don’t even care if the head isn’t spot on. I look more for seamlines instead. If there isn’t one then Im considering it a good head sculpt. The words «great» and «perfect» I said fuck off to a long time ago LOL! Perfect ain’t happening, and great is far between, and thats it! I also focus more on the accessories and if the hands can actually hold them. But as far as head sculpts and likeness goes… Man, Im just happy if I can squint with my eyes and see the character it is supposed to be. Don’t care if I don’t see the likness of Affleck in the bat cowl, as long as I can tell its a fuckin’ Batman figure.

I think for some reason lots can't get Clint Eastwood head sculpt totally right.
But like you say quite a lot of different head sculpts are off.
Even though there are lots coming out now with really great head sculpts.
You get what you pay for really.
@@toddscollectibles980 Yeah, we do get what we pay for, but hell if Im pawning my damn house for the «perfect» head sculpt. I mean… At the cheap end you can get a head sculpt for around 30 bucks, but Im not paying 3-400 bucks or more just to get a «perfect» head. I’d rather pay that money for a damn good blowjob if Im being honest. A 1/6th scale head ain’t worth that kind of money in my book, I’ll tell you that damn much LOL.
Can you swap the head from the from present toys to sideshow Body?

Mine frome sideshow doesn't seem to have some of the details that yours does.
Oh really? That's odd as they all should be the same. I take it details as in marking on clothes?
@@toddscollectibles980 I just took it back out of the box and looked it over again and I see the dirt detail on the pants now. It was hard to see before because of the lighting. It's easier to see the details on yours in the video.

Thank you!!! Finally someone shows the present toys version...I basically did a kitbash I think I have mainly present toys parts. I'm not keen on the sideshow one ..way too expensive and I feel the sculpt is too cartoonish and exaggerated. I feel the sideshow outfit is way better but I'll stick with the present toys parts ...I did a kitbash and think I have the eastwood present toys sculpt...I order the headsculpt w/0 the hat. I think looks great. I also have the iminime version of eastwood dirty Harry. I feel sideshow hit and miss with characters. Beetlejuice ummmm 👎 no. Temple doom indy ON POINT 👉 the sideshow josey wales is a must for me. I'll kitbash dirty Harry and blondie. But josey wales definitely be a sideshow. He looks great..can't wait see him. The Sideshow one they have got most things right, but like you said the head sculpt don't get much love.
But they did a great job on the Preacher ( which I love).
Yes will have to get Josy Wales as the likes of these types of figures will be long gone.
@toddscollectibles980 I think 🤔 the sideshow eastwood are hit and miss they all look good but look exaggerated and cartoonish while others are superb and on point...if you look for instance at the iminime dirty Harry sculpt compare to sideshow dirty Harry ycan see what I mean...it's strange because I think preacher is a perfect eastwood...didn't redman make him? I saw the sideshow josey wales and really hope he's as detailed as the photos show. Crossing fingers.
It's weird the one thing they have going is that there official from the legend himself...it's funny because I feel the same with Stallone...his figures look good but I prefer the threezero Rambo compared to the Stallone shop cobra. Although love both figures...I feel the threezero captured hs likeness better...now imagine arnie endorsing the present toys terminator compared to dx10 or 13. 😆
