I'm moving into my dorm in 2 days and even though this summer has felt like half a year, college seems to be coming out of nowhere. One was so much like you but was so different at the same time that he both amazed and scared you. You were envious of him. The other was someone you knew was so bad for you and had nothing to give, yet you still wanted to be friends anyway, and you did. For a time. Remember your trip to the beach at the end of April with your 2 friends and how it felt to cry for nothing. Remember your trip to the rose garden late at night with that one friend and how you had to climb the fence to get in. Remember the part of Los Gatos that looked like the idealized version of downtown. Remember how you couldn't cut off your other friends. Remember your friend's plans to be a doctor and a tattoo artist in Korea. Remember Palo Alto and how beautiful it was. Remember how it was like to sit on that bench by the roses for hours without a care in the world. Remember your stupid BLT sandwich on the way home from San Jose. Remember that journal you wrote in for 3 days. There is so much more that you should remember. In 4 years time I wonder how much you've changed?
