I have been trying out the missiles with incendiary parts. No oxidiser and full catalyst. Works pretty dang well especially on large rockets. Gives a reason to spam less EMP rockets or frag with almost no AP. I haven't tried APS much though. Maybe an AP incendiary would work? (Instead of APHE)
Having a weapon powered by steam would be really cool. I like making interdependent designs in thos creative games. Shame they got rid of the steam flame thrower. Maybe they can add steam cannons. Like the one tested in myth busters.
Does it work if you make the flamer full of catalyst/oxidizer without fuel? As in creating a flamer purely for armor reduction for other weapons like small damage high ROF APS to do great damage?

I can confirm AP Incendiary shells - both APS and CRAM - can be terrifyingly good. :D

Unfortunately the armor reduction effect requires the flame to do damage, so no. You do need at least some fuel.
