    If I'm going to buy a bottom end hatchback, I am definitely buying a Yaris. The one I had as a rental kind of grew on me.

      Not to be rude, but if I'm buying something, I'm buying it for ME and not anyone else. I never said I'd actually buy a Yaris, I'm actually looking at Velosters BUT if I were shopping at the lower end of the market, I would happily consider a Yaris. For a cheap runaround car you can't get much better.

      A base Yaris costs $6000 more than a base Spark. Yaris is a great car but a terrible value proposition.

      Seeing these are more fun, and can be had for less than 10 grand new? I would go Spark.

    Good Review. You think the tires are small on that, you should see the tires in my 74 VW Super Beetle. 165/80/15 is as close to original that I can find.

    I wouldn't buy it but its looks much better than the old model.

    I looked at a Mirage G4 sedan yesterday ( don't ask why ) and that thing had 14 inches tires 😂😂

    Power windows, locks and mirrors are a basic necessity in 2017 imo. I don't understand why they'd leave those out but still bring up the price by adding auto headlights and infotainment.

      I'd personally much rather have apple car play and a backup camera rather than power everything

    • @felix8289
      @felix8289 7 років тому +5

      It's actually much cheaper to put in a basic infotainment system in the dash than it would be to put in physical hardware to each door lock, each window, as well each mirror to power them all.

      Dan Cowan Who doesn't want power windows or locks? Most people that can afford a nice car will get a nice car.

    What is your thought on one of these in a 2 LT model, is it any better than the base LS?

    Honestly who buys these?? Like besides Enterprise?

    • @felix8289
      @felix8289 7 років тому +1

      Cars this size are very popular outside the US, but not so much inside the US. Still, they're sold here because CAFE standards require they be sold.

    • @disneyfan9099
      @disneyfan9099 7 років тому +1

      brorowcarwiz Nit even Enterprise buys these cars.

      Hertz buys quite a few. In all seriousness, it's a pretty blatant CAFE car. It has to go out the door cheap; the value proposition falls apart if the incremental cost to a larger model is too small. Now, what demographic wants a new car but doesn't have much cash (or credit history) to throw down? Millennials! But it's gotta integrate with their smartphones. If Chevy had skipped the touch screen they'd never get anybody under the age of 30 to buy this thing. And only the most minimalist of over-30's would buy something this small.

      I'm 33 and want this exact car, only with manual transmission. It's the second-lightest car on the market after the Mitsubishi Mirage which is a TOTAL piece of shit and doesn't even come with a hatchback version anymore. I plan to remove the backseat permanently to save more weight, and add some lighter wheels. Get this thing around 2,000 lbs and it would be a blast, like 80s and 90s Honda Civics.

    I'd learn the features before you video :)
    I have a 2017 Spark LS, I frickin love it. I'm sick of being a cheapskate and driving shitboxes i was scared to drive because I'd break down AGAIN. The part i least like about the car is needing the key to open the hatch. You can either carry bith kets with you or turn the car off to open it. Fuckin sucks. Other than that it's great. I want to get a cruise control steering wheel and have it installed so i can have real cruise control. But it was worth the 15K price tag.
    manual, 41 MPG on the highway bone stock. Keep in mind that's with no cruise control, oscillating constantly between 90 and 60.

    The Spark is highly questionable due to a recent recall with the passenger side airbag that is so shitty that even the dealers won't sell you one by order of an embargo. I'd personally would not buy one for that reason alone.
