Awesome video! Thanks! I just picked up a 2007 Express Cargo 4.8L V8. After watching your video I feel like I could totally change the oil myself now. Gotta love breaker bars. Lots of things in life are all about having leverage. Subscribed and looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos!
Hey man, I come from Brazil living here in Florida. I really appreciate your video. Thank you very much. I have a Chevy cargo van 2500 and I’m trying to Lear how to replace break pads, installation of inverter, alarms and another’s things. If you know how to replace break pads it’s a really good ideia make a video about it.
Good video sir, but i dont understand how come your new oil is fully black already? On the next oil change you should try some engine flush it might disolve all the sludge still in there
Very Helpful! I just got one of these vans and was pretty clueless about it.

Thanks from a Chevy owner 😊
I always pre fill the filter, especially when it's vertical like this one.
What about the drain plug crush washer?

"Less try a breaker bar,
to not force it".
🤣😂🤣
Great vid. Glad it was designed for easy service
You didn't replace the drain plug gasket but great video
nice oil change ^_^ I'd prolly only hand tighten the new oil filter. I'm so psyched to buy a standard set of sockets for my new rig!
I do it just for good measure , some guys torque them down so hard you can’t get it to come off lol
I have the same van, same engine and I always use 6 qts.
Whoops, well, it didn’t blow up and the dipstick says she’s good 😳
How many liters for this Chevy Express??
Maybe it's not VTEC, but it does have variable valve timing!
Right on bro ! I appreciate your video 🤝
Super helpful. Thank you
Thanks for the video
Good video. Thank you!
I was able to get under there without jacking up the van :)
Damnit bobby leave the floor Jack we don’t need it

The tip of my dipstick has a black ball on it
No need to ever use a filter wrench to tighten a filter.
Over tightening an oil plug can strip it. Using a jack handle on a ratchet for leverage can ruin the ratchet gear.
Don’t u think you should fill out air filter with oil?
Thanks 😊
Never use any tools to tighten up the oil filter. Hand tighten only it will tighten up more on its own.
Sweet 😎
U should use a filter claw it’s better than those pliers trust me
I’m working at a dealership and they have a really nice claw I want to get one soon!
Where did you get your mat from ?
Moonmats , Google their website
Damn that oil needed changing 100k miles ago
How I can check what engine is it. Aren’t see
4.8 vortec
Christ why would you not have nylon gloves on?
Add oil to filter before install get oil to engine fast.
Never do that. You risk introducing contaminants that will bypass the filter because you poured directly into the clean side of the filter.
You are using wrong oil !! Dexos 1 is recomended for your 2012 chevy. Look in your owner's manual
If it was a Ferrari I would listen to you but this thing runs just fine on whatever I put in it lol
My 4.8L flexfuel takes 6 quarts... am I wrong?
4:00 DON'T SPILL
Adam Apple
Penzoil really bed brend...
If you wanna sponsor me and give me oil to use that’s better I’m all in pal!
@@matthewwarpenberg5109 I have experience rebuild engines after Penzoil))
