Hi everyone! Finally got the game! I decided to share all my experience from the game!

To get to the Tournament, You need to finish all the mission given by Peony.
You need to finish Calyrex story, Catching Articuno Zapdos Moltres, Catching The Regi Trio.
But... if you only completed 1 of the 2 dlc areas it will not work
what about swords of justice?

I just realized how integral that use of Follow Me was: If you hadn't used that, G-Max Wildfire would've most likely went straight for Zacian, which would've probably KOed it. Not only did it allow the battle to end the very next turn, but also it let Hop deal the finishing blow to his bro's Gigantamax Charizard with Zacian. I knew you'd win, you still had 3 mons after Togekiss, but I like the fact that you made sure that Hop would be the one to land the finishing blow on his bro's ace.

I'm just going to be honest: this is the best addition in the entire expansion pass in my opinion.
I love the characters so, this is also prob the best part for me too.

I was actually surprised how good of a partner Hop was. I was just expecting to cruise through the tournament with no help, but he was kind of a total beast.

@@kanjigodomo9696 Not really sure what kind of interaction they can have, maybe Bea telling him to man up or in event of facing Marnie or Piers maybe Bea can state she'll keep him safe from dark types.

I just wish the Galarian Star Tournament could also include the other Trainers from past games like Cynthia,Steven,Red,Lance,N,Blue,And so on,even the other Gym Leaders and Elite Four Members from the other regions too

What sucks is that there's no set level for the tournament. If it really were a hard post-game, I would expect all the levels to be set to 50 or something.

@@maganhassan2627 that isn’t the point. If a game gives you the option to finish it right away w/out playing the game, you can still play the game, or you could just win. Bad game design, right? That’s what this is. BAD GAME DESIGN.
I think the worst part is that you can use six Pokémon while the others only use three.

Man I would had love the star tournament a lot more if they brought back champions and gym leaders from other regions like PWT. The remixes and hearing the crowd would just have me hyped all the time.
What I'd love to see, honestly, is how Avery and Bede interact. I've seen them interact ONCE (when I was paired with Avery in a later go, and we were facing Bede and Opal), and Avery seems to taunt him about him giving up on Psychics (despite the fact that Bede's team actually is Psychic heavy).
My first time in, I was relatively unprepared, and used (two?) of my competitive pokemon - Chandelure and Dragapult. Unfortunately, with the level cut offs, it was a quick play through. I thought once we got into the locker room that it would let us change up Pokemon and realized quickly how incorrect I was. Hop having Zacian honestly helped out A TON, because I was horribly unprepared. The other pokemon I had on me were simply ones I was leveling up to hypertrain. Didn't fix my moves on them or anything, so oops.
**Spoiler Warning-ish?**
Since then, I've gone in (way too many times), and I can say this little portion of the Crown Tundra is what makes this half of the DLC worth it for me. The chemistry, the seemingly odd teams - they're all so invigorating! Peony isn't the most helpful partner, but he's precious. Avery's (I'd assume same with Klara since they're mirrored-ish?) growth in his interaction, becoming your teammate and even admitting how nice it feels to rise to the top WITH you is just...I died. Love, love, love him. I was hoping for something like that with Bede, but as much as I hate to admit it, his cool attitude towards you as your partner is just so him. Him being kind would have probably put a damper on that experience. Lastly in my little rant- it seemed like Sordward and Shielbert's interactions with you as your partner is like...making up for them not having a lot of screen-time? Still thought it was cute, and of course canon for them to go on and on, but they're more long-winded than Hop's initial go through with you. Sordward was more useful as a partner, in my opinion, and the fact that he called player "my liege" had me dead.

That’s actually one of the reasons why I chose Hop over Marnie because it would finally give him the chance to defeat his brother in battle even if Leon is no longer the champion anymore
I wish there were set levels, but it was still fun regardless.
Yeah, i wish they had if your team was all like a multiple of 10 they would scale to that. Like if your lowest characters level rounded down until you reach 100 so it would make it hard.
I agree, but even limiting myself to three pokemon and around their levels 70-80 it was pretty fun and at times Challenging, especially against mustard/raihan and Leon (and ESPECIALLY if your partner is marnie, milo, or peony)
I forgot how intense the music is when battling the gym leaders. Also, at 20:00 Hop is so cool with that legendary pokemon.

It’s kind of sad that in the first that in the first Tournament you the choice to pick Hop or Marnie as your partner but Marnie is sooooooooo much weaker than Hop there’s no reason to pick her other than personal preference.
Honestly, of all the rivals, Bede was the strongest in my eyes, but I wasn’t even surprised that he wasn’t an option. For Marnie to be a Dark-type trainer, she is rather weak. The only reason I would choose Hop is because of the legendary that’ll be on his team.
I have to be fair to Marnie: most Dark-type trainers are average at best. The only trainer I’ve ever considered to be decent was Karen of the Johto Elite Four, but that was before the inclusion of Fairy-types. I’ve always believed Psychic-types were a lot more powerful, even if most are glass cannons. But those fairy types are capable of not only their own moves but psychic abilities as well.
I chose Marnie because she was the first person I saw. We ran into BEA

@@ninyue yeah he is. but it seems like he went missing because Oleana said she heard rumors that he was in the Crown Tundra (which ended up being Peony) which implies he might be missing because she knew that he was doing community service and now she doesn't know where he is.

At least avery made his dream come true a little. But if im being honest idk what minor and major division means...
@@aurianappleheartz9818 in Galar there a total of 18 Gyms, Before each year challenger cup they battle each other, the top 8 are the major division and those are the one you fight in the Challenger cup, the rest of them are in the minor division and have to wait the next year to try to rank up, that's why Galarian gym leaders are overall the strongest gym leaders in Canon

Tbh I made a mad dash towards Ball guy in my playthru-- would have been dope if they added him. I think Allister's dialogue made me laugh the most, poor thing damn near had a heart attack. He's the embodiment of social anxiety and teenage angst.
Imagine if Hop had leveled up his Pokémon.
It would have been nice if the gym leaders got new returning Pokémon from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra

After the Galarian Star Tournament, Milo replaces his Bellossom with a Tsareena for some reason.
I battled using nothing but Steel-type pokémon, and my partner was Marnie. My team consisted of Celesteela, Melmetal, Aggron, Perrserker, Copperajah, and a shiny Aegislash.

I think the galrian star tournament is fun.... here’s a tip for a level 100 regidrago! You can use breaking swipe or that other move (I forgot what it’s called) to wipe out the 2 Pokémon!

I really had hoped that this would be like S&M/USUM's battle tree where you are limited to a few pokemons and fixed levels. Or just equal levels in general. Would make for a better replayable fight.
I purposely only went in with three Pokémon on my team as a sort of self imposed challenge and because all the competitors only use three Pokémon as well.
So they really gave the gym leaders theme back
I'm so happy they did!
A perfect choice of music, I would say. The Gym Theme certainly stood out after its reveal during the E3 demo of Sword and Shield back last year, and it is only fitting for it to play in the background of the endgame battles.

The GST would be more interesting if it included the Sword exclusives (Bea, Gordie, and Kiara) and the Shield exclusives (Allister, Melony, and Avery) in the same game.
Yo, props to Hop in this battle. Leon’s stupid Dragapult kept using Flamethrower on me, but Hop’s Zamazenta saved me with its critical Crunch XD. Hop even finished off Duraludon while I took out Charizard. I’m proud of you, Hop 😁

So Dynamax/Gigantamax is banned in the Star Tournament? If that's the case, I'm pretty happy about that. Because I share Piers' views and convictions concerning Dynamax/Gigantamax, and also because that gimmick mechanic is so broken that it was banned in singles in competitive.

@@aurianappleheartz9818 Yes, the ability goes back and forth; whoever gets to their g-max partner first will be the one to use it. This goes for both teams.

it isn't. people have tried multiple battles with all the partners and nothing happened. victini is just locked in the games code for right now.
