I’ve lived in psl since I was born and it really is a shame to see all of the greenery being taken away for housing. It’s funny though because it’ll be nearly impossible for me to find housing that I can afford on my own because its so expensive now.
Only a few greedy builders build all these cookie cutter houses. They dont care about nature. They will plant 1 scrawny tree if even that. The city should set aside more green areas and make builder pay for it.
Bought my house 6 years ago. 2 story near Becker Rd. The lot around me was totally empty for years and this year 4 of the same exact homes were built around my home. All of them 1 story basic 2 or 3 bedroom 1or 2 bath homes with an attached garage. The construction of my home is totally different its so strange. The home is paid for and the property value has gone up astronomically from what I paid for. The people moving here now have no idea how much they are overpaying for a very basically built home. 6-7 years ago I paid less for my 2 story 4 bedroom 3 bath home then people are paying now for a much smaller home. It's nuts.
I've lived in Port St Lucie for 25 years and we are officially leaving next month and heading to Vero. I refuse to pay a half a million dollars for a basic three bedroom home. These houses are nowhere near worth what they're selling for. It's a real shame that people are getting ripped off
They have destroyed Port St Lucie with all these cookie cutter homes. Cheaply made and they're going up so quick.. smh It's a real shame what happened to this city
There are many builders that are very good and a few that are bad. But most of the bad have been building in PSL for years The whole state is track homes no matter where you go and we still have a housing shortage..
@@TheBlackDahlea There are no rental properties and if you find one it is very expensive. Most investors have sold thier properties. That is why you see all of the HOA' that where falling apart and are now flush with cash. PSL is a bargain so you will continue to see lots of growth. I know it is hard for folks that are used to that small town feel. I have been in Jupiter 35 years and the same thing happend here. But everyone is coming to Floridi for the weather and cost of living. You should see the Orlando area. It is nuts also. All these sleepy little parts of it are now booming.
Would like to say that me n my folks are looking to have a house build in psl but need help with doing that is that something you can help with?..just got alot things that's happening in the area in just need to get that done...
Use a reputable Builder a good bank for the construction loan and a good title company be there everyday while the house is being built if you can to make sure if you made any changes that the blueprint is followed.
They move to Florida. Then I am moving out. I dont like follow crowd. The housing, grocery price, traffic are getting worse and worse. Florida is hot and humid. People need to realize not one place fit everybody. Not just Florida has beaches. One thing for sure Florida is not a paradise any more...
With that attitude, I'm sure you'd have a hard time finding paradise if you were sitting in it. People want warmth, lower taxes, and good jobs...it's not a one man island you can have to yourself! I am a Florida native and love the diversity that people bring to the area...to each his own...
I'm a little less concerned with mortgages but curious on where and what to buy in the PSL area. What's a good investment - existing standalone, new construct or community? I have family in the Savanna Club and considering buying a unit on day. Is there a vid or one coming? thanks!
Yes. Synergy homes puts you in a non HOA area with a single family home thar is really well built at a great price. Then there are a couple if condo options but you most equity will be in a single family. Here is a video. It shows a home and my team. Let me know how I can help. We buy a lot of homes from Synergy so we have first shots on the best deals. ua-cam.com/video/9XQSESKJSjQ/v-deo.html
It really depends on where the home is. Tradition is going to be more than the non-HOA. Then each community has a different CDD Bond or non. Then each county has a different tax rate and if its a new community it could or could not have a CDD Bond. Feel free to reach out to me and I can give you some guidance.
Love your podcast I am local insurance agent and also trying to start do a podcast to bring awareness to people would love to connect and see if we can collaborate together.

The county and city have lots of assistance for rentals and business. Check it out. Channel 5 news has Priced Out Of Paradise. It is a great resource.

Because of inflation

They really have, I am just hoping it will flush out the renters and will primarily first time buyers at least 😒

PSL is cheaper then FTL, PB and Miami. The city is growing crazy.
Thats the truth.
Lee, Brent, great information! Lee, I would love a tour of your favorite PSL communities in Tradition.
We love Tradition and have no plans to live anywhere else.
Extremely valuable information!
Where? 😆 They don't say anything, just tell each other how awesome they are.
OMG why is everyone obsessed with Port Saint Lucie, been here 15 years yall need to stop moving here, don't believe the hype. Goto WPB with that shit.
Lol 😂 trying to throw em a swerve so they don’t come huh? 😂

Port Saint Lucie is a great place to live. Chose a Realtor that cares. Best wishes. Marcia Estrella
Thank you for your help.
Good information thank you.
Can you explain how much are the property taxes? On a typical house. Not just the percent % but the real $$$

Of course the contracts favor the builder. They are taking a lot of the risk.
If you are doing a custom build yes, but the track homes no. They sell the home to someone else and can keep your deposit.
got any exclusive info on newfield?
Not yet but I will keep you updated. I am thinking of buying a home there. It is 15 minutes from Jupiter and 15 minutes to PSL.
Great topic Lee!!!
Good information

yoooo, i know someone who bought one and its been a year and its still being built 😬
Yes supply chain issues and labor is a real problem.
PSL is way too expensive
All of Florida is getting expensive, But compared to North East and the West Coast we are a bargain.
People are still moving to Psl??
Number 2 city in Florida,
Nobody buys in Port St. Lucie. It’s nothig like Florida
Its is in the top 5 of the fastest growing cities in the US
What does that even mean, Chris? 😆
PSL is Florida and people are moving here like crazy. The roads aren’t big enough anymore for the amount of traffic that’s now a day to day thing.
North Florida 😂😂😂
Ha!
