SUGGESTION: Since you're in FL and the soil is sandy, you may want to put a strong stepping stone under each leg in your container garden, so your grow tables don't sink into the sand and be sitting in wet sand on rainy days. This will also help keep the table level when only one side otherwise would decide to sink.
You make excellent tutorial videos, thanks! Always wondered why you used platforms, until hearing your reasoning on this video. Hopefully you don't have snakes under those low tables. I like your wide open flat area for gardening. There is so much room to experiment and have fun. God bless.

Hollis, on most of your other tables you left about a 1 inch gap between each board to allow for drainage. On this one you did not. I know these deck boards will shrink a little bit but not that much. Is there a reason you did not think you would need to do that on this table? Nice job!
Hollis you have completed yet another pot table it’s all coming together beautifully thank m really jealous I hope those potatoes give a great harvest you deserve it.
Our family started a garden area in our yard this year. Fruit trees first and a couple blue berry bushes. Next will be some of your ideas. We are calling our garden area Eden. A great family time. After the work was done. LOL.... God bless you both and all you do.
Nancy here , Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. I am blessed Hollis heart is providing us with organic, healthy food for the rest of our life on earth! He don't have to build another one for the next 20 years. We consider it a investment in our future health. Better than going to the doctors. Have a blessed day!
Hollis and Nancy, my husband and I have been watching you both for two years now and one question we have; when you use garden soil and pray moss and cow manure, do you ever use other feel Izer’s throughout the season. We see you use the fish, but later on, do you use anything else
Usually when I use fish I don’t need to side dress with anything for the life of the plant. However, it does not hurt to add a little blood and/or blood meal if the plants are looking a little puny
Yes, you absolutely can reuse your potting mix. Hollis has a video on how to refresh it. Basically you just want to add more compost/fertilizer, and if you think the texture isn't what it used to be, add more of whatever you think is lacking, whether peat moss or perlite. FYI, you can save a fortune by mixing your own potting mix, instead of buying the expensive pre-made bagged stuff. There's lots of videos on it, but essentially it's one part peat or coconut coir, one part compost, and half a part perlite. You can add other stuff, like composted wood chips or leaves, sand, worm castings, vermiculite, gypsum, lime, the options are endless, but it's all just based on what that particular plant needs. A general purpose mix, though, is essentially the recipe above, and they bulk it up with "forestry product" aka composted wood chips or pine bark. You really don't need to worry about that. I've reused my potting mix for 4 seasons now, and with a little addition of compost or manure each year, and a handful of granular fertilizer if I have any on hand, it still produces a beautiful harvest of all kinds of stuff. I hope this helps. Good luck to you this season!
45 gallon bucket? That gives a whole new meaning to the term, "Spud Tub" Question, every outdoor project I have been on, it was the practice to install any boards, laying flat, "Crown Up". Is that not necessary, for water repelling. I ask because I never saw you check them. Not being critical, just one woodworker to another curiosity. Thanks for sharing as always, and be safe. Mark (If ya need help dumpin those buckets, just holler, lol)
I usually check for anything more than 1/4” when I buy it. The dimensional lumber I get is premium and usually well within tolerance. If not, I will not buy it. If I find one after I start building that is excessive I will trim it
great video, i guess i missed it that you all moved to a new and bigger property, i learned alot from you as to how to us a small space to get the most out of it, so now we will learn more. thanks
Yes it is especially with potatoes they are usually planted around end of February in FL but you can start later and still get a decent harvest with our long summer growing season.

Thanks!
