i can not stress how well this worked, I had an hour before a track meet and my track jersey had the biggest, messiest sticker residue patch on it I have ever seen, I didnt even let it soak for the full hour in vinegar, maybe 5 minutes, worked perfectly! all sticker residue is gone! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tips. to remove a fabric tape glue strip on a white cotton business shirt i applied goo gone. let it sit for 5 minutes. scraped off glue with a plastic spoon. washed immediately in hot water with dawn dish detergent. scraped off any remaining glue. very happy that there were no stains from the goo gone!
I had a piece of sticky velcro "cemented" on a polyester top. I soaked it top and bottom in white vinegar and it was much easier to take off--not easy--but easier. Afterward, I went on to remove any residue as described here. Thanks so much, that velcro had become one with my top!!!
DRY BAKING SODA AND A DRY TOOTHBRUSH. Sprinkle it on and scrub gently until it all flakes away. I discovered it when I was already dressed and was leaving the house in 20 minutes. I took off the dress, sprinkled it on and scrubbed back and forth GENTLY. Less than a minute and it was gone! I don’t know how it works on fuzzy or furry fabrics but it works fine on flat fabrics. No water, no drying time!
OMGoodness, Andrea Jean! Your tip on using adhesive remover worked wonders!!!!! I had a bad case of adhesive residue on my favorite T-shirt. Your video was the first and only video I needed to look at. I had Duck Adhesive Remover (Fresh Citrus Scent) in my cabinet and would have never, ever used this on my favorite T-Shirt thinking it would leave a stain. As soon as I dabbed it on, I was able to scrape it off with the scraper on the cap. No heavy scraping needed. Thank you for your bravery in trying this and for sharing! You go girl!!!!
I followed the first part of your video for the most part until I got most of the gunk off by repeating the vinegar application. Then once it looked clear, I washed the shirt and dress, and they came out perfect! Thanks for the video!!
I just used hairspray and a microfiber cloth (I think any cloth would work). I sprayed the area, scrubbed with a cloth for a few minutes. Then I used another cloth with a little water and a drop of soap on and then scrubbed the area (then dried the area with a blow dryer). It was MUCH improved but not perfect. So I repeated the process one more time and it looked perfect! So easy and saved my super nice hoodie!
Poured the vinegar straight on the sticker then sprayed Dawn Power wash on it, scrub, scrub, scrub with the toothbrush... Gone! Didn't wait for the vinegar to sit. It was gone within 10 seconds if not quicker 🤗 Thank you!!!!!❤️
THANK YOU so much for these amazing tips! It worked perfectly on my brand new sweater that got glue on it (tape from someone else’s shirt got on mine 😢) I wish i could share the before/after pictures!! 🙌🏻
Wow that’s impressive! I’ve accidentally put new shirts through the wash with the size sticker still attached and sadly threw them out since I assumed there was no hope.
I just found a fast way that worked great for me on jeans. I cut a strip of clear packing tape and pressed it firmly onto the glue residue. When I peeled off the tape, it lifted all of the glue and I didn't even need to wash the jeans. It took two minutes. I would give this a try first.
@@ziasfusion I think you need to try it on a spot, that is not noticeable first. I know you can use it to remove things from clothing, but it’s always better to test it first, because all fabrics are so different. I’ve even used it in my hair to remove a tangle, I couldn’t get out. I looked up what works for tangles, and goo gone came up. It didn’t damage my hair at all. Good luck with your project.
Hi guys here's a tip You can also use Normal alcohol or Perfume then just scrub it with a Cloth any cloth is good, if it doesn't work rgat mean you have to scrub more and it will start to come off, i tried it because I have a hoodie that has a sticker and i tried to remove it with this method it worked!
Thanks I was using heat press make shirt I got it too close to my plastic rule I forgot remove 😢 first so I used tweezers to scrap off what I could without pulling at shirt. Looking ways remove left over sticky ness to fix this mistake when in saw your video
I got a old 80s pro player OSU jacket im trying to restore. The previous onwer put duct tape to mimic stripes on the inside of the jacket and now once it was removed it left a big sticker stain. The jacket is a polyester/cotton blend, would you recommend goo gone for the job?
This works. I did it on sofa. At a family member’s house, don’t know how I did it, I got goop on my area. I had to grab something right away, knew where vinegar was and grabbed dish soap, did it fast and it worked. It was a lot stickier than hers too.
Any advice for removing adhesive that's not even sticky anymore on a shirt? I think someone used iron-on seamless hemming tape to hold a patch down. Patch is gone, but there's still white residue there that's pretty solid.
This happened to me but in my case the sticker left no physical residue that needed to be scraped off but it left my laundry sticky, I don’t know if I should rewash my load, to everyone else where the sticker left residue did you have to wash the whole shirt or was it just that one patch where the sticker was that was residue, in the past when I’ve accidentally washed stickers I find my whole load of laundry has sticky residue, any thoughts?
i have a amazing ww2 wool au army trench coat, frustrating it has hot glue residue in it , trying to get rid of it and hope this works but i better do more research
Help! This is not working on my singlet, I believe it is polyester or some other old sportswear material and I do not have goo gone, the sticker isn’t sticky anymore after this but the residue will not go away, please help thank you
My daughter just washed, and dried her FAVORITE hoodie with a pack of gum in the pocket. 😲We are using the Goo-Gone on the dryer drum, but I'm not optimistic about the damage done to the hoodie. It's BAD! It's covering the whole thing, inside and out. Pray for me! 🥺
This did help me with my shorts with the first layer of my shorts but my shorts are athletic works polyester shorts and the layer on the inside of my shorts has gum on it if I want to remove it that means I have to cut it so this wont work but I will just buy the same shorts since it's my favorite type of shorts but yes this does work.
Biggest question is, why is it that your husband is the one that left a sticker on his shirt, yet you are the that is cleaning it AND you are the one getting blamed if it's "ruined". Otherwise, very informative video. I (the husband) am cleaning a bag that I ruined with a sticker and this was useful
I used WD40 on a few things, including pen marks that were probably 35 years old, on the velveteen-like interior of a 40 year old fantastic purse! Cleaned the ink off completely and so fast, leaving no stains itself. There are lists of uses for WD40 as well as Hydrogen Peroxide that inspired me.
If you don't have Goo Gone, hair spray works in the same way. Did not realize there was an "inspected by" sticker on a a shirt that I had ordered. To get rid of excess dyes and starch I laundered it (washer & dryer) and then realized there was sticky residue left. Sprayed with hair spray, rubbed with an old toothbrush and then laundered again and ta da!
Your recommendation was genius! My husband just bought a bright red athletic jersey-type shirt that is silky and drapes nicely -- their was about 3 inches of sticky residue from the size sticker. I was nervous about trying vinegar or goo gone b/c I didn't want to damage the color. I read your comment and thought, well, I know hair spray doesn't damage clothing so I gave it a try. I sprayed generously and it scrubbed right off with a toothbrush! Easiest thing ever. Thank you very much!
I got a hat with cat ears glued on it's sentimental to me but I'm too old to wear diamond appliqué cat ears lol 😝 Anyone know how to unglue them?? Btw went to cleaners and they would not help!!!
What are they know about laundry we need them for everything else but not laundry HAHAHA yeah just make sure you don't leave it soaking too long and wash it chippity chop God bless have a nice Sunday :).

Watching this now for the same reason 😂

It worked! Thanks

Doesn't work in Soccer jersey
Must’ve been a white dress
Alcohol & scrub in 1 direction with a dry rag
Thank you!! This worked great on my puffer jacket.

Love that Dawn Powerwash and am trying your method now thanks and glad i read the comments first
The best thing ever. It works so well. Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for this video. The goo gone did the trick on my cotton shirt!
I like cleaning vinegar too! Toothbrush is a handy tool, I keep my cleaning one in a marked case for cleaning in my caddy.
Thank you for this video. I has glue residue ribbon on a birthday pin I did. I only used Dawn and it worked !
Thank you, it worked on my new pants I just bought.
Genius.... my craft glue took some doing but came off after your methods.
Genius! Thanks ✔️🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Vinegar, baking soda, toothpaste ....none of those worked, but when I tried Goo Gone, wow, that really worked very well! Thank you! ❤
Does regular white vinegar work or does it have to be cleaning vinegar?
Goo Gone did the trick, thanks!

Will this work with vinyl adhesive residue?
I just found a fast way that worked great for me on jeans. I cut a strip of clear packing tape and pressed it firmly onto the glue residue. When I peeled off the tape, it lifted all of the glue and I didn't even need to wash the jeans. It took two minutes. I would give this a try first.
I love goo gone also, it works so well, on so many things! I make sure to keep some at all times!
I absolutely love your Videos! ❤️
Thanks Debbie ❤️

Well my shirt is silk so what do u duggest that i use to get the residue off?

Yes test a small area first 👍
This is exactly what happened to me and my favorite redsox pullover
Hey i like that Volcom Polo shirt! I would have been upset too
does filtered apple cider vinegar work? Did you add water to the bottle as well?
your the best

Dude thats me🥲
Do you think this go gone would work on a LV bag ? The fabric inside ?
I tried this with baby oil and toothbrush. Add some salt to it and it will scrub smoothly. It works very similar to goo gone.
Thanks for sharing!!

Can I use the same method to remove glue residue from previous namsset and number from a soccer jersey?
Your hands are beautiful. Can you make a videos how working hands stay so kept!
Congrats on the baby

Great job! Thanks for sharing!
Wow im going to try it on a sweater i love and a name tag sticker left a residue
Can I just use regular vinegar? I don’t have cleaning vinegar
Yes. I used distilled white vinegar. I heated it in the microwave for one minute.
i have a amazing ww2 wool au army trench coat, frustrating it has hot glue residue in it , trying to get rid of it and hope this works but i better do more research
I have a question, if I did it in a white shirt, would there be an issue? thanks for the answer.

What's the update??
Im guessing hoodie died a horrible death, but I want an update too
So after you applied the goo gone you put it to dry?? No wash just dry?
She said she laundered like normal meaning washed and dried.
Wash first 👍
Would this work with saltwater taffy as well as gum? Taffy is my problem at the moment.
The stickers on vessels come out easily. Stickers on clothes are difficult to remove. Why don't the manufacturers try some other method of labelling.
Hi do you know how to remove eye lash glue from the suede lining of a bag?
Dawn with toothbrush on textiles has taken the color out of clothes when I used it.
Can you give me a solution to remove "HEAT AND BOND" off fabric... this product is used in sewing if you are unfamiliar with it.
Any substitute for goo gone??
scrub it with dry toothbrush first. I didn’t have vinegar so I just started brushing I just did this. Stain gone 🤷🏾♀️

I don't know about fabric, but WD40 will remove sticker residue, and the like-if you don't have any Goo-Gone.

I have a question, if you do this on a homemade tie dyed shirt, does it afdect the tie dye or it is normal
It can affect the die

Can Goo Gone remove Gum?
Yes 👍
How do you remove oil from food in your clothes?
Dish soap has worked for everything so far. Even clothes that have gone through the dryer! It cuts fats and grease from dishes, why not fabric?!
I’ve 1/2 dishwashing soap and 1/2 vinegar in a bottle ready for stain on clothes, always works even turmeric stain.
