I just turned 64 and been riding Harley's since I was 15, due to health issues and that I want to keep riding I'm making the switch, I test rode Honda and BMW and I really wanted the BMW, but the Goldwing impressed me more than the BMW.
The K is fun to ride, very powerful and sexy looking. The shift assist is superb, but be aware. If they start causing issues, mechanical/electrical and you are out of warranty, be prepared to use your CC, cause it will COST. Always own one with factory coverage. Moreover, not many dealers around. More likely, you will need to ride far for any service. Better to find out if the dealer can give you a loaner, just in case.
@@MidgetMoto I had 2 of them, over the years. Used 2016 GTLE and new Grand America. Sadly, both gave me not so good taste. I always had something going on. Oil changes was a pain with the sump oil pan. Sold them both and now I am on a new Goldwing DCT. AMAZING BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@MidgetMoto Its my first Wing ever. Sorry, I didn't make that move sooner. Its a bike to go to the moon and back. Perfect? NOPE, but very close to it. 25K, so far and ZERO, I mean not even one problem. Simple to work on, parts are cheap and available all over.
BMW braking using the front lever brakes both the back & front brake together (computer managed) - thus the ABS kicking in when you stepped on the back brake, as this adds further back brake pressure. Back pedal not required except in emergencies.
no real biking experience for me. had a versus 1000 se for a few thousand miles, was sooo happy when I switched to a z900 rs and was riding a real bike again
As a consequence I never use the back brake pedal of my K1600gt at all and it brakes beautifully
Awesome

Interesting! I did not know they were linked
the only thing i didn´t like is the price hahahaha...me myself ride one of the last BMW R 1250 GS Adventure 2024 and i love it!!!!
Nice!
I owned a 2012 loved it! It had a clunky transmission. I didn’t like the double oil sump.
What do UA-cam now?
Very cool 6 cylinder engine.. best to buy K1600 now before gov mandates electric only EV bikes
Interesting take!
The bike hasn’t changed in over 12 years.
Good to know
What is your current ride? Did you ever shift in to 6th or use the quick shifter?
I just recently sold the 2014 Honda CTX1300 Deluxe. I do not like the BMW quick shifter

Interesting
6 foot 4 you should be able to flat foot any bike you try.
The Ducati Saul sport was close
You sold me
Interesting! Wish I had more time in it
@@MidgetMotoI stopped watching after like 3 minutes I don't need to hear anything else. Just need the cash now 😂
