a great team the two of yaz. best of luck. god bless,,
Kallstrom Sweet Corn here in Eastern , Wa. been irrigating for over a month here , in the 90s lately . Our early sweet corn should start week of July 8th
You guys are ahead of us, generally we start Aug 1 st. May be a bit earlier this year by looks of it
Wow, if anyone can do a good job growing potatoes, you guys are the stars. Where we are at, have to watch for rattlesnakes under the plants.
Here in eastern KY, we have all but given up on a garden. Crows pull seeds up when planted, rabbits and turtles eat young plants, bugs eat on the plants until maturity and then either deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, crows will eat anything just before it’s ready to harvest.
Good up date you’ll crops are looking good.
We in ENC (Eastern North Carolina) are dying for rain. Almost 30 days!!! Everything is SO small. Fingers crossed for you guys. 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Be careful with the tornado watch. I am home in the county. Heading down in the am. Hopefully it won’t be bad.
Keep up the good work I'm pa
Great video mollie and Shane are top notch. Keep up the great work very interesting lots of work
Another good video, I get good ideas and learn from stuff you have to deal with.
WOW I'm shocked how fast the spuds grew. Amazin
I know! They really grew fast!
Hot & dry here too. We hit 99 in the shade yesterday. Looks like you're getting some rain on radar.
Wow! Can’t believe how fast your crops are growing! Amazing!
You should see them today! ( 6 days after you comment) hahah sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for a good and informative video ❤❤❤
Have some 'new potatoes' at the road side stand now here in pei. Things are growing nicely so far. Fingers crossed the weather cooperates this year for grain. Last year was horrible
The crops are looking good. I’ll have to go on a road trip to the store only 1 1/2 from southern Maine. Thanks for the update on the crops.
That was a really good video Molly and Shane. You guy have green thumbs for sure. Like seeing you two working together. Molly your as pretty as always.
:)
Il would like to visit your farm and see the fields
I always enjoy watching you two working together. Very cool to see how the food we eat comes together. Stay cool
I am sorry that I am watching your video late because when you posted this video that day was my engagement so I could not watch early this is interesting video
Thank you!
Thank you Molly,Shane and Bessie, that was great 👍 are potatoes are at the same stage in growth as yours 😊 had rain here for a few days but its extremely hot still, hope your trip to see your father goes well 😀 enjoy🤗,, from the UK 🇬🇧
Good to see you and good growing update too. Thanks Molly and Shane.
Awsome crop updates....my sweet corn and green beans are doing good as well....of course my plot is only 4' ×12' 😊
I know understand how you can harvest so many potatoes. Yields so much greater than when I was a kid. Molly, enjoy your trip home.
Man it's hot and dry here in Tennessee. Hope you guys can keep everything growing. We're hauling water everyday to our garden. Hope it helps. Last year was bad also.
Ah the old J D 7800 ...
A favorite of this ole Ohio boy ! Lol
Good to see you guys workin hard and growin stuff ! Enjoy !!!
Molly and Shane! Great video and I hope you guys didn’t melt all the way! Heats gotta make farming not so fun but it’s gotta be done! I hope your visit to your dad goes great! By the way, between you and Shane who has the most tattoos? I have 7 myself. Anyways looking forward to the next chapter!
Never noticed that hubby has a Skyrim tattoo. Nice.
Another great video! Very interesting!! Thanks for the update, farm looks great!
Your content is truly heartfelt and insightful, always brightening my day with its positivity and practical advice. I appreciate how you share your gardening journey with such enthusiasm and sincerity.
And I am floating village life
Thank you! I always found house boats to be very cool!
It's been a little while and glad to see your smiles and crop update. Interesting to hear about the wild life and your crops. Looking good!
The potatoes are looking great.
Super hot here in Virginia, be safe
Growing nicely
Crops looking good Shane & Molly , I used to deal with ELK in my potato crops . They would play in the fields and disturb a circle playing about 20 or 30 ft in size . As they walked about the field they would damage tubers with their feet . One time the State wildlife brought me 2 Cougar hides to lay on the ground to deter the elk ... Scare the Elk , not so much they used those pelts like door mats ... To add insult to injury I had to return those hides after a month . No way were they going to take a chance on me hanging those old skins on my wall . My test for good moisture was grab a hand full and close my hand . If it made a solid ball showing the line print of my palm it was about 80 % saturated , good for Russets . I cringe every time I see Shane dig in under those spuds . Not much of a problem with their present size but nothing hurts worse than potato skin shoved under the finger nail .
Thanks for the update seems like my garden is about a week behind yours. And I’m pretty sure I planted before you.
Very nice 👍🏻 from Kittery
Thanks Ralph!
Always looking good Molly !
🇬🇧❤️Xx
Thank you
We are getting plenty of ripe tomatoes to eat and began picking Purple Hull Peas this morning. And it's hot in Arkansas, 95 degrees today with hella humidity such that you start to sweat walking across the yard.
It’s like that In Ohio while I’m visiting my dad. 2 mins outside and you’re sweating.
So baked potatoes grow in the soil and French Fries grow above like string beans...right??? 😁
Glad to see your video, I was worried the YT Police put you in jail! More videos please 👍
Deer are nuisance animals. Good tour I learned a lot. It's been too hot to talk about it down here in Southern Virginia. You both take care now.
potatoes are 'tubers' (reproduction by cloning), and also flower to produce seeds - which can become potato producing plants.
Love this channel
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
that was awesome Shane & Molly thank you for sharing!!
Good job Molly and Shane. Thanks for the update!
I usually have my potatoes in the ground here in the deep south in February and harvesting by late may or early June. The heat here is brutal in the summer..
Oh man must be! If you can plant in February:)
Very nice plants! And I'm so jealous of the soil! No stones!
Thanks Paul!
So Shane is right the potato blossoms don't have anything to do with production..but if the blooms get pollinated they produce little berries which contain seed that breeders use to grow new potatoes in a tissue culture setting
Nice job Molly and Shane
Love the team of Molly & Shane. I was watching another farming channel TayFarms. Dairy Farm from central Maine and they had been trying to find some seed corn to plant and she said they finally found some from a family owned potato farm in Maine and immediately I thought I wonder if they got some seed from y’all. 🤷🏻♂️ crazier things have happened I guess. Anyway, thank you for the update. Plants look great and have a great time with your dad.
Hey Ed! We love Taylor’s channel! I know Shane sent her a message about having some corn to sell her, but she must have gotten it from another potato farm. Secretly we were hoping she would get some from us hahaha
@@BellsFarming that is one hard-working young lady. She’s just like you, Molly. Oh and by the way I dig the ink..I’m tatted up myself…got some awesome “Lord of the Rings & Hobbit tatts.
love the video was hoping to see the blue bathing suit top
Great video Molly ...Thx 🐾🚜
Jeez Molly haven't seen your legs before, what great looking tattoos. Great video and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all that you do to hang in there, work so hard through all of the bullshit and grow the crops that feed our country.
Bessie’s so cute!
She is!! 🐕❤️
Hope Dad is doing well!
It’s so nice to visit. I’m with my sister too
@@BellsFarming Enjoy !!!
Gotta tell ya...
You run a great channel. Very through and nicely done.
Kinda hooked on it...and the progress from field to table.
Plus you put up with my humor...😊
Thank you Ken!!
Hello molly I hope you have a great visit with your dad in Ohio.
Thank you so much! It’s been a nice visit.
Nice job, thanks, Jack, RI, USA
THANKS!
Great update awesome content.Thanks
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤
We raised dry beans and the deer feed on them the worst when they were blossoming
Good to know!
Molly & Shane stay.safe tomorrow night theres a 10% of tornados tomorrow
2:31 impressively efficent diagnostic skills.
Shane knows the tricks.
Potatoes look great
Yes they do! I was super excited to see how fast they were growing.
Nice trial with the new potato varieties. The number of tubers present now says little about the number of tubers that will become large later. Several tubers are still going to fall off.
Hey Molly, in case you are interested, we have a new Beagle pup up here, female, almost three months, and still very much a puppy, just like a little kid, and her name is Annabelle, and my Little Deere tractor is at the dealer in PI getting an issue checked out. Dave D.
Good morning David, sorry for the late reply! Took a little break from all the comments. I’m back in Maine now. So exciting to have a puppy, I love the smell of puppies :)
I hope my single potato plant does half as well. I'm not sure when to dig it up.
Oh David it will do good!
Just saw another old episode of Stargate SG-1 and Molly you look just like the character Vala Mal Doran played by Claudi Black! Just Hotter! Hahahaha!
Hahaha I alway get to be a sci-fi star! 👽🛸

@@BellsFarming Put on your space gear! ua-cam.com/video/DKd6-ugozkA/v-deo.html
@@BellsFarming The very thing the movie "The Martian" lacked! Molly planting potatos!
Stay cool, don't work too hard.
Hi Molly and Shane u really enjoy watching your videos. I might have missed it in an earlier video but about how many potato plants did you plant.
We plant about 150 acres!
7:00 i don't think too because the actual fruit is the little (poisonous) green Berry which appears after flowering, not the potato that gets harvested. I have 2 Varietys, one is blossoming too the other isn't yet. How do you fertilize your potatoes? Mine get calcium cyanamide( because of the wireworms), ammonium sulphate and potassium pre tillage and again potassium and urea+Sulphate pre hilling. Greetings from Germany
Yes, it’s interesting how the seeds are produced!
Where in ohio does your dad live and the potatoes are really looking good
Hi Molly. Thanks for the update. I was wondering if the garden style vegetables you planted (using the plastic) was for personal use or you sell them at a roadside. Sorry if you already covered this.
👍
Always educational and interesting to watch. I like your magic trick getting out of the tractor. The Idaho government shut down the water to 500,000 acres of potatoes. Of course that will destroy the farmers and their communities. I expect potatoe prices to go up.
Yeah it’s criminal what they are doing.
Impressive set of skills in Shane. My son is a JD mechanic and I think he'd be impressed. Where did you learn all that?
She really is a great mechanic
He learned some in high school, but he is just very good at what he does.
Hello from southern NB. Curious, black flies and deer flies are horrid this year. Never see you swatting flies?
Hahah you can see the flies buzzing around in this video some. I wear bug spray hahaha
@@BellsFarming Fly dope doesn’t repel nasty deer flies.
now bout your tomatoes and truck garden stuff? how about strawberries they grow in the sandy field?
Yes they do, our neighbor farm grow acres of strawberries, pick your own! Yum
Good evening Molly, It’s been unseasonably hot here in Missouri too. Mid to upper 90’s and it’s supposed to be 100 this next Tuesday. Thanks for putting the date you recorded this video in the description, I always wonder when the videos are recorded. Enjoy your visit with your dad.
Thank you so much! 96 the day before today!
So how do you and Shane deal with hitch pins ? I always let the pin in the hitch ready for the next use . I have been on farms that always took the pin with them in the tow vehicle . Personal preference I guess .
So maybe the lite color in the corn maybe short of feed?
💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟👌
Brasil falamos batatinha Tomate
Milho sorgo .soja feijão
I like Deer Control…🤔 I could Help you all out with that 😬
In pa they would look like that
nice job trying to figure out whose legs or whiter my or Shane's
Hahahahah funny dad
Do you inoculate the green beans with rhizobia?
My Family and I are coming to see you guys the week of August 5 through the 11th, GET READY...
You’re visiting Maine, where are you from? You will get to try our sweet corn! It’s great 🌽
