My grandmother was so ridiculously good at this game, it was disgusting! It started out that she and my grandpa were about even, both pretty good, but then she surpassed him. She used to “make him cry”. 😂 When she and I would play together, I’d be on one of the lower levels with just handful of germs, and she’d be on like Level 28 or something with a full bottle. I’d be just about to clear my last germ or so, and I’d look over and she’d cleared the whole freaking bottle. It was ridiculous. I wasn’t even a kid! This carried on into my adulthood. NEVER… go up against my grandmother in Dr. Mario. Did you cover The Adventures of Lolo series yet? They were also Lolo fanatics. Now THAT is pretty much the greatest puzzle series of all time. Truly phenomenal!
Love Dr. Mario. I can't get that ending theme out of my brain.
I think Dr Mario and Krazy Kreatures on NES are my 2 favorite puzzle games because they are the only ones where when I start playing them I just can't put them down. It's incredibly rare for that to happen to me because I'm always so excited to see what the games I haven't played yet have to offer.

Played it with my mom. I don't remember the ending for beating level 20. Either we didn't do it, or we played on easy and it's just for medium and hard.
Love the chill soundtrack, and the fact that there’s enemies on the playing field.
Tetris + Connect Four = dozens of games and addictive apps and Dr. Mario is still the best.

My mom was addicted to Dr. Mario and Tetris back in the day. Dr. Mario is definitely a solid game with a great presentation, but I think I rank Tetris above it, personally (I like Tetris's music more).
All of the NES puzzle games I've played were really good, but I do consider Dr. Mario to be my favorite.
My local arcade has a Vs Dr. Mario cabinet that I'll sit down at and play for a long time. It's one of the few games out there that I can get a decent high score on.

This was a favorite of someone I grew up but is no longer here and I have fond memories of it and hope to make more.
Tetris is my favorite, but gameboy tetrs is better.

You’re absolutely right though; the music slaps.
The difficulty goes from too easy to absolutely ludicrous as you continue to advance through the stages!
I have several copies of this game that do not work.
I was finally able to get a barely working copy of it and i actually was finally able to play this yessterdy, after decades.
This video is rather uncanny timing.

I think I play Wario’s Woods most among NES puzzlers these days.
Mario is never going to get FDA approval if the answer is to just keep taking an endless number of vitamins until the patient is cured.
I didn't play a lot of games on the NES (since I didn't have my own), but Doctor Mario is another one I played and liked (along with Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Bionic Commando and Xenophobe).
Funny, I only recently played this on an emulator, probably my favourite puzzle game on the NES. I really like Tetris but I kind of suck at it- this one though was really fun (even with max difficulty viruses)
This or Tetris, that is a tough one and I can't decide
Dr Mario is great but I think I have Tetris higher.
Tetris is the better 1P game but I will put H2H Dr. Mario over any 2P version of Tetris. The way you can handicap Dr. Mario is absolutely perfect and I've never seen a version of Tetris that comes close there.
Tetris is better on the GB imo.
