Shawn Lane was a BEAST!!!
facts
Tony MacAlpine is a underrated master. And definitely with Vitalij Kuprij they have a great history with amazing neoclassical songs like no other.
Jordan Rudess can make this list now that he's also shredding on guitar lol
You missed out Kiko Loureiro He can play piano too :)
Richie Kotzen and Nuno Bettencourt
Shawn Lane really smokes everybody FACT.LIVERPOO FC
Shawn Lane and Alan Holdsworth share the same drawback: Their komplexity sounds nearly like random playing. Shawn does this on the guitar as well...
its called improv. Some are just beyond playing the same old boring thing all the time.
@@uraniumcranium2613 That's clear. But Zappa made the same experiences. "The audience wants to be entertained, not taught." (Goethe).
Who is capable to listen to komplex stuff like this?
There is art on the one hand and the song on the other.
That is called target group orientation...
Has anyone ever heard Bloomfield play piano. Because he sure could play guitar
You can tell from hand's position and their behavior who is a classically trained pianist and is playing with awarness against all the others......Only Tony Macalpine is the pianist between all of them. I love Shawn on guitar but on piano it seems he's only trying to amuse people with speed ...playing rivers of notes without a purpose, development, and sometimes completely randomly. A fast amateur, not a piano professional performer. Eddie and Eric play piano like a lot of musical school students at their 3rd year. At least Eric has very nice taste as far as harmonic structures
As a progressive rock keyboard player, I'll say only Tony MacAlpine qualifies.
what about Keyboard player that shred like guitar players? Lachy Doley is a cool keyboardist that plays in the style of Jimi Hendrix and Jef Beck with a whammy bar and all, he sound like hes playing an actual guitar, check out his stuff if you are into late 60s/early 70s rock
that's not what this list is even about bro. Can you read anything other than the koran?
Mike Keneally
Oh yeah of course, seen Mike live as well how did I miss that 🤔
May be I'm wrong because I'm not a pianist but I feel like Shawn Lane was just noodling random notes on the keyboard at high speed.
He's technically mindboggling but melody is hard to comprehend with 1200 notes per second
I mean I get it. This is what guitar shredding sounds like to people who don't play guitar.
ummmmm, eddie made this list?? WHY???????? yes he could play keys but he NEVER did anything noteworthy. the piece selected for grand piano, arpeggios. compare eddie against the other 3 and there really should have been a replacement for him on this list
next time use an ai voiceover that can pronounce piano. Had to skip most of the dialogue. terrible
