It seems like the Franciscan religious orders are starting to go the modernist route of the Jesuits. Father Casey is a total Modernist.

Did not care for him AT ALL. I saw one or two of his videos and noped out of there. Seemed kind of stupid, really. Very contrived and "cute".
Unfortunately, this guy was one of the first I listened to along with “Catholic Inc.” in those critical first months of my reversion…it was rough going and then I found Tradition and the true Faith. Thanks be to God for that grace and for people like Kennedy!
Even Trent Horn had something to say about this guy. In summary, Casey alleges that SS relationships didn't exist back then as they do today (really?), therefore, the prohibitions of Biblical times regarding SS behaviour may not apply to today's society! That's an example of Modernism, which declares experiences and modern understanding must be applied to evolving dogmas and teaching. That's nuts. The Modernists also say Sodom and its sister city were destroyed because of inhospitailty. Lol. I figured out pretty early on not to watch his videos after another questionable video about Biblical history.
I had to LOL at “Inhospitality” too! But in all seriousness, I don’t think he has ever heard of St. Damian! I’m beginning to think the Vatican II teaching has nothing to do with The Holy Bible.
Plot Twist: He is right about there not being ss relationships back then, but....a "relationship" has consent and choice connotations.
So a slave male or female, had zero bodily integrity and neither did a boy student, or a boy going thru a initiation ceremony and so on.
However Fr Casey's conclusions are deranged.
His readings are always going to be
1)rote second hand parrotings, part of a modernist take
2) full of glee at its own its creative cunning.

Im gonna comment on one sentence (not referring to the whole comment, just that one sentence).
Well, actually the SS relationship didn't exist AS they do today.
There were of course such relations, but the culture of them was different. There weren't like today the ekhm, "unions" ekhm, of two more or less equals, but rather an older-younger dynamic, and also they weren't "identities" or "sexual orientations". In ancient Greece, these acts weren't considered as opposite to being a heterosexual man/husband, that was 'just' an outlet for lust, so it wasn't like today it's considerent an identity or orientation.
So I get what was meant that it wasn't AS today. The culture was different, and the actions had different cultural forms and were differently ingrained in a society/culture, than today, in w different way. But OF COURSE, these acts were very much condemned in the Bible.
I'm always surprised by Fr Casey's reach. Its a constant reminder of the warning in scripture about itching ears.

It is incredible. In the semi-traditional world it seems like Matt Fradd is huge, big as it gets on UA-cam. However, while Cole may not have as many subscribers (I don't want to look at his page), I do believe his video view counts often swamp Matt Fradd's view count. So sure Fradd has 600,00 subscribers but his videos often garner "only" 40-70,000 views (at least in the first month or so after release) while Cole's videos have 300,000 views after a week.
I wonder how many of those views are bots and how many are actually people who claim to be Catholic and actually go to Mass most weekends (low bar, I know).
I don't understand the appeal for Fr. Casey unless some bots and $$ are behind him. And I get the sense he may struggle with the sin that cries out to heaven himself. I hope he learns and repents from his errors. Lord, help our priests and Bishops 🙏

Same here. Have you seen his suggested "Catholic movie " list? Disgraceful, disgusting movies he suggests. I actually listened to him and to this day I get upset for watching and subjecting my self AND family to the filthy movie he recommended.
I hated his channel for the annoying elevator music in the background, even before he started pushing heresy. And his habit always looks like he bought it at a Halloween store.

I used to watch Fr Casey podcast. I had doubts about his reasoning sometimes. But that podcast you are referring to has been the last one I watched. It was the last straw for me. Another priest that I was disappointed about his podcast on Fidduce supplicans is Fr Goring.

I watched maybe 2 or 3 of Fr Casey video a year or two ago and stopped. You could automatically tell he was complicating every topic and when someone is trying to begin learning a topic simple is good, complicated is bad.
Over complicating “controversial” elements of the faith is a tendency that many modernists have. They’re scared to directly say what the church’s teachings on a particular matter are, and proceed to beat around the bush and/or make the issue sound extremely complicated when in reality, it pretty straightforward.

I've read Fr. Ripperger's book Dominion. Huge book to read, but I learned about every sin and what demons do to get you to sin through that book. The generals(5 head demons) are out in full force. I pray for the church modernists, protestants and other religions that think they are born again and saved while still committing sin. Reading Credo right now.

Try Spirago 's Catechism book and/or the Catechism book in stories by the same author. Sorry, haven't got the exact titles to hand right now. I'm sure that Credo book is good too, but I would encourage you (and me) to obtain as much of the pre Vatican II material as possible!

@@seppe1701 Obtain pre Vat 2 books, in print, not only for your own education, but to preserve them because the time is coming, soon I think, where it will be impossible to have those books, legally have them. Don't keep your best info online, on a cloud, digitally, but keep PAPER copies. This is very important not only for religious topics but also for how to manuals.

No, sadly Fulton Sheen was a modernist heretic who said in his books that anybody can be saved by having good morals no matter what your religion is. He was a modernist heretic who loved Vatican 2. He said the same heresy as "saint" Mother Teresa. Just be a good Jew, a Good Hindu, Good Protestant; don't have to convert to the Catholic faith.

@@sissybrooks8588 Yes it is upsetting but Father Cole is young enough to not have been catechized properly, too doused in modern Catholicism to know any better. Not to excuse him of his double speak, but the times in which he was born is a somewhat excuse for his behavior. My daughter teaches in a big city high school but was brought up with traditional Catholic values. She has left active teaching and has an administrative role now, because of the vicious, tribal, sexualized, drugged behavior of all of her students, with very few exceptions. She was twice accused of hate speech and racism because she tried to teach those kids some manners and good behavior! Our society is so degraded that I don't see how Our Lord can wait much longer in sending a punishment.

Back in 2019 when my real reversion back to the Catholic Church started, Father Casey was the first Catholic UA-cam channel I had ever come across and I started watching and listening to his different topics.
His review of the movie The Shack was the first time I started questioning his opinion when he didn't seem to have a problem with the characters playing the Holy Trinity; in particular God the Father being played by a woman.
Council of Trent (Trent Horn) had it from the start. Many new converts are attracted to the ancient truths because the unchanging Church provides real sanctity and ignores the changing of the times. “The gates of hell shall not prevail against” the Church. The lord’s words will never pass away. They are immutable. What’s so hard to understand about that?
God is eternal.
That which is new or modern is of no novelty to what is eternal.
That which is eternal is never stale or irrelevant, it is always fresh and relevant because it is eternal.

When I “discovered” UA-cam during a long convalescence at home, I watched Fr Casey on two separate channels. Although I had not yet become a traditional Catholic, many things he said made me uncomfortable, including requesting as many women as possible on the altar during his ordination. He is a modern feminist! I stopped watching his channels and later learned what the term “modernist” meant in the Church. Thank you Kennedy as well as other orthodox Catholics on UA-cam for explaining these issues going on in the Church. Happily, during the same time, I discovered a TLM parish within driving distance thanks to UA-cam.
Did u even watch any of his videos?☠️ he explained why women cant be priests and gave HIS OPINION on it + he said that women should be in role of helping in the church including reading scripture at the of the mass ( 1 from old testament and 1 from new testament) u have no idea what ur talking about. Yes, first time I saw this fellow, I had the sense he was a progressive, possibly "poser."
Never watched anything from him again. I would not waste any breath speaking of him, except in prayer for him.
I used watch him. He posted his ordination on UA-cam, he went out of his way to make sure that as many women as possible were able to be on the altar for this sacred occasion. I never called him out because it was his day …but now this. The Church is a mess, God help us all.

I watched Fr Casey’s videos a few years ago during his assignment to a university community. I have experienced that nagging feeling that something was not right and experienced confusion after listening to him claim it is up to government to be in control of charity rather than Catholic organizations who are most generous to the poor. Your recent video has helped clear my confusion . I am concerned that he is preaching to college students who can be so confused.
That's why we had V2. The "Modern Man" couldn't believe the teachings of the Church.

Thank you for sharing this information. We have to pray for the young priests and young seminarians. Most seminary professors and formators are very tactical and crafty in forming the minds of seminarians without detection. It is why the parents must do their best to form their children very solidly in the Catholic faith. God Bless!
Great video Kennedy. You should do a video on why a Catholic cannot attend a non practicing Catholics wedding outside the church. Someone baptized but is now a practicing Protestant. Big debate going on inside my family right now. Thanks.

@@eole123456789 Yeah, I've never heard of this, and I'm not entirely sure what the individual above is talking about. A few of my trad Catholic friends attended my (courthouse) wedding way before I came back to the church, and these friends are Latin Mass only, SSPX, etc. Never heard of "Catholic weddings only." The only prohibition I'm aware of is not to attend same-sex "weddings" since that legitimizes the sin.
A Catholic has to follow the laws of the church. Catholics have to be married inside the church with a priest, if they don’t then the marriage is invalid. Because it’s invalid wedding, a Catholic shouldn’t attend because it would be scandalous and it would be approving their sin (getting married out of the church). You would be approving it by clapping, smiling, celebrating the ceremony. Therefore, it is wrong to attend.
@@El-HartoThat’s a result of a bad disciplinary law in the 1917 Code and a few fallible sources saying you could attend and not participate for family or close friends,for social reasons weddings & funerals. Traditionally you don’t attend any non explicitly non Catholic services no matter the reason. Pius XI Lays that out in mortalium animos. But things were slipping before Vatican 2 like the Holy Week changes & Saint Joseph’s name being added to the cannon.

I had to stop watching him a long time ago, not even sure why he became a priest.
It's not infallible of course, but I feel vindicated for my "gut feel" from at least a few years back, when this young priest hit the airwaves. At first glance it was great to see young vocations. At that time it was not open heresy yet. But here's my gut feel - the intro music (ok, my age is showing), and his demeanour, I thought he was trying to be too "hip" and contemporary. I didn't detect the "poverty" and "humility" charism of what a Franciscan should be. I then thought "he's young, he'll grow up". Fast-forward, now it seems (I don't listen) he's gone further & further "left".
And once again, it almost proves the point, it is the traditionalists - both in liturgy and doctrine - who repeated are proven correct.
TRUTH is the TRUTH for all times . Many will learn that on a very very hard way. I feel soory for that young priest. Big warning to his standpoint on manstrubation!!!!!!!! It is total desaster for young people to wach it. Parents be awere!!!
Spot on! When you deny the literal interpretation of Genesis you run into all sorts of problems with Jesus in the New Testament, 'If you believed Moses you would believe Me" (John 5:45), with the Immaculate conception of Mary and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Mary claims to be 'the Immaculate conception', hence no other is an immaculate conception, but Adam and Eve were created sinless, hence they cannot have evolved from another creature. Jesus also turns the water in 6 stone water jars into wine. The 6 jars represent the 6 days of creation. Jesus doesn't lie!
Finally someone talking about this. Some priests want to be more like the cool kids than they want to be like Christ.

I thank you, you are absolutely right. I never thought of it yet I have been very confused on different "approved" interpretations of the Creation story in Genesis by Theologians. Its ok to believe this, and its ok to believe it happened this way. ..you are so right, tell it like it is, Scripture is the revealed word of God. Period. Want a different answer? Find a different book.

Encountered the twerp (“Father”?) on Twitter some years ago, arguing that the Mass of Ages was a Tridentine invention, from memory. He gave the impression then that he was an attention seeker posing as a priest. Wondered what had happened to him since, and now I see.
St Francis himself warned about this apostasy happening within his order AND other orders.
I heard that Fr. Cole did a segment on the sin of self abuse that was less than perfect.

I actually watched Casey Cole for a little bit a couple years ago, but it didn’t take me long to realize he had a liberal slant. But when he made a video stating that he didn’t pray the rosary and essentially said he could take or leave it, (basically informing everyone that the rosary wasn’t that important as a prayer). And omitting the fact that the Virgen Mary came down from heaven, with the spectacular miracle of the sun, (witnessed by thousands) & asked people to pray the rosary daily! As someone who’s studied Evolution seriously, and the Genesis account. What I don’t understand is people’s fixation (on both sides) with it absolutely being an either or. I know it’s partially due to scientism pushing its “scientific creationism” supremacy, and partly wanting there to be a simple answer.
However, I do wish the faithful understood better that “Evolution” is just a working scientific model that explains change (as accurately as we can) across time. The “creation myth” that accompanies the models still fall under the fallacy of infinite regress.
It’s such a shame that today the princes of the Church are so consumed by Gnosticism and sins of the flesh. Instead of tackling these bigger presuppositional worldview issues.
Yes evolution is not an absolute scientific truth, even theories can be overturned if new evidence is presented, but the way evolution is taught in schools today is as if it was an absolute truth. In practice, if you even TRY to say anything different you are given zeros on tests and essays, I know it happened to me. Go against the orthodoxy of evolution, or any other "religion" such as climate change or abortion rights, and you are shouted down, told you better conform, or else, you fail the class. What happened to the freedom to pursue truth through data collection and experimentation in universities? It no longer exists. If you even try to suggest that God had a hand in creation, you are anathema.

Alarms have gone off for me on him many times.
The very first time I saw him and heard him speak, I knew something was off, and then I saw a video talking about a certain fr Casey Cole, then I looked him up and it was the very same priest my gut feeling didn't agree with.

I followed his channel way back before he allegedly became a priest. I didn't even believe it was real. I thought it was fake and I reamed him up one side and down the other and people were telling me not to speak to a priest that way. I knew he was fake, And what he really is. A plant.
I thought his channel was for the purpose of corrupting people, and I told him as much.
He certainly seems to have a well produced channel for a priest. Someone or some group seems to be behind it all. At least I wondered that.

Interesting how he turned off his comments section. Could take the backlash. As a 3rd order Franciscan I think it’s shameful he’s a Franciscan priest. I’ve always found his videos to be suspect.
I would also say that Casey Cole doesn’t have valid holy orders because he entered the priesthood to overthrow it because he never was a Catholic to begin with.

I was subscribed to him, and then after listening, of my own accord, I unsubscribed. I found his tone and theology to be off. I took it to be a sign from the Holy Spirit. Haven't looked back. Sounds like it was a good call.

Mr Kennedy, I have a question. On the question of Creation in Genesis, would it not have been possible that God did it all instantaneously by the snap of a finger, but that since He is outside of time, on earth it would count as 6 days. What do you think? I'm genuinely asking.
Any (maybe) public library or Univ. one (for sure) will reeducate you on it; there are plenty just textbooks on the subject since..at least of W.Wrede, Messianic Secret, AD 1901 (orig. German)- also in Catechism nr 110, JPII's Fides et Ratio, AD 1998. The Bible is not a textbook of history; even a secular history textbook is already an interpretation of data (archeological artifacts, written sources, etc.). Don't be ..lazy
