honestly this is kinda poetic in a way, a being who spent days, weeks, months working his way to the top and then making full use of the recources he *earns* to make great constructions is suddenly granted infinite power, he immediately goes mad, revelling in being able to do things with a thought that would have previously taken him hours or days, he destroys peaceful civilisations on a whim and erects mansions in a second only to move on to the next thing that catches his fancy. Eventually he decides to construct a home to call his own, and he builds not a mansion or castle, but a small house on a river, a house made of valuable and unbreakable materials but a house nonetheless, he experiments with his powers, pushing their boundaries to see what he can automate for himself, he still regularly blows up villages but in this one area, near this one house on a river, he is calm, he finds limits to his powers, things they simply cannot do and things he is too naive in their usage to accomplish. Eventually he attempts a great monument of explosive firepower and, for once, is bested by the world, he flies too close to the explosion and it's too much, he may have the power of a god, but he is a mortal, and there are some things he should not do, some limits he should not attempt to reach. He begins to bore of his powers, struggling to find meaning in a world where everything he had once worked so hard to build is suddenly pointless: his sprawling complex? his bustling towns? his beacons and armour and pets? what point would anything like that have when he has nothing to fear, nothing to fight, nothing to protect. He chases goals set out by the world, goals he could wish completed with a word, but goals he completes fairly. He seeks fun in following the lead of mortals that have retired, and it entertains him for a time, but soon he moves on. He creates a new town near his home, which is now filled with the results of his tinkering with the complexities of his powers, some more successful than others. This new town lives a life that is, compared to any other he has encountered, fairly normal. They are given a world without danger from the monsters of the night, protected by the man that gave them life from raiders that wish to do them harm. As he approaches the 100 day mark of his time, the man accepts the truth he has been running from all this time... even with all this unlimited power, all this freedom, all the recources in the world... he is bored. He decides on one final project, a machine that can truly, permanently, banish him from this new world he had been given, to force him back into the worlds he had left behind, the worlds where he had to work and struggle but the worlds where he was happy... on the final day, he stepped out into the garden of his home, and as rain began to fall, he pressed the button, and embraced oblivion... soon he would wake up in another world, perhaps an endless flat plane on which he had built a monument out of dirt, or maybe an endless maze of caves and mineshaft in which he struggled to survive, or even his home that he had built from a simple wooden shack to a sprawling complex, a true monument, one built through months of effort, creativity, and a simple desire to survive... thank you luke, for all the great content, and thank you the last 15 minutes of my life, for being spent writing this comment

Hey Luke for the button that is for those who wish to die, replace the command block with a repeater command block, the button with a lever and instead of a Redstone clock, just do a standard constant source of power to the command block. Type: "/Kill @a" into the command block and whenever you pull the lever you will endlessly and continously die.
There's still a wat around that Go to the world file, use an NBT editor to change the level.dat file (I think) to disable the commandBlocksEnabled gamerule (I think that's what it's called)

Luke being unable to come up with ideas easily is something artists struggle with often. You have all the colors in the rainbow, every line width variation you could ever want. Every effect, canvas color, texture, everything. Sooner or later youre staring at a blank canvas for hours without any idea what to do, possibly even intimidated by it. You get overwhelmed and say "I'll try again tomorrow". For some artists, tomorrow could be tomorrow, or it could be a whole year. Multiple years, even. Luke has demonstrated his creativity on multiple other occasions, but then again he usually has a limited block pallette, or he came up with ideas before hand. Him not having any planning for this one means easily being overwhelmed by ideas he could do, or being overwhelmed by how many things there are to play with. Being a god isn't easy, and after a while you start running out of things to do. My advice for Luke is this- limit yourself. If you can't use every color, then limit it to just two or three. Maybe do something you usually don't, like more Redstone, or try to take on a particular style for building. Sometimes I'm inspired by tutorials, try one of those too.

Used to be me, until i got better at the game, I can achieve more in hardcore than 7 year old me was able to back then even if 7 year old me was using cheats
If I was playing with cheats, I would make it so absolutely NO HOSTILE MOBS COULD SPAWN/EXIST!!! I would also cause it so the Ancient Cities, other Underground structures like that, and the various Temples/Ruins were elevated to the surface in their entirety. After that could transform & improve them much more easily.
Here are some new fun to watch games you can try on the channel! (All with different lengths incase you want a long one or a short one) I would like to see Luke play TERRARIA 100 days, id hope that is enough for a new player considering it’s equal to 40 hours. Another fun one would be 100 drops of ENTER THE GUNGEON considering it takes some players that long to actually kill their first character’s past (that probably doesnt make sense to those of you who dont know the game) It took me 66 matches to get my first of the four character endings which i think is about average idk. The final game i would like to see is 1 year of STARDEW VALLEY which in that game is only 112 days and the completion time varies quite a lot depending on your playstyle (min maxing takes absurdly long but speedrunning can take no time at all) 100 Days - Terraria (40 hours) 100 Drops - Enter The Gungeon (10-100 hours The Better You Are, The Longer Your Runs) 1 Year - Stardew Valley (15-25 hours) If you like minecraft, stardew will be great… if you like bullet hells then ETG is one of the best… and Terraria if you like having simple (but difficult) boss progression with tonnes of different kinds of weapons, items, pets, mounts and armour you have to discover

It would still make you immortal, even if you could die. Immortal refers to not being able to be killed permanently, so if you respawn, you are immortal. For example, in Greek Mythology, if you were to kill a monster, it would go to Tartarus, but come back later (length depends on monster)

@@SpearMaster-fd9do The whole point of the button is for it to make the world completely unplayable. It shouldn't matter if he wants to stop dying.
Which makes it completely cheating proof. In the current design its possible to use commands to delete the command blocks.
i think it should teleport AND kill, this way even in spectator i think it would be unplayable, i dont think you can be /killed in spectator

totally relatable video, i love how luke was often struggling to find things to do. and i can say, as an active cheater in minecraft, it does indeed get very boring
Luke being unable to come up with ideas easily is something artists struggle with often. You have all the colors in the rainbow, every line width variation you could ever want. Every effect, canvas color, texture, everything. Sooner or later youre staring at a blank canvas for hours without any idea what to do, possibly even intimidated by it. You get overwhelmed and say "I'll try again tomorrow". For some artists, tomorrow could be tomorrow, or it could be a whole year. Multiple years, even.
Luke has demonstrated his creativity on multiple other occasions, but then again he usually has a limited block pallette, or he came up with ideas before hand. Him not having any planning for this one means easily being overwhelmed by ideas he could do, or being overwhelmed by how many things there are to play with. Being a god isn't easy, and after a while you start running out of things to do.
My advice for Luke is this- limit yourself. If you can't use every color, then limit it to just two or three. Maybe do something you usually don't, like more Redstone, or try to take on a particular style for building. Sometimes I'm inspired by tutorials, try one of those too.

have you done Adventure mode yet? If not, some tips: Taiga village = OP, as campfires can be used, as well as sweet berries picked and pumpkins sheared (For chicken breeding). you can also use chest boats to store items and farm iron golems for iron

If I was playing with cheats, I would make it so absolutely NO HOSTILE MOBS COULD SPAWN/EXIST!!! I would also cause it so the Ancient Cities, other Underground structures like that, and the various Temples/Ruins were elevated to the surface in their entirety. After that could transform & improve them much more easily.
At this point, LTN is just having fun. And I respect that

I would like to see Luke play TERRARIA 100 days, id hope that is enough for a new player considering it’s equal to 40 hours.
Another fun one would be 100 drops of ENTER THE GUNGEON considering it takes some players that long to actually kill their first character’s past (that probably doesnt make sense to those of you who dont know the game) It took me 66 matches to get my first of the four character endings which i think is about average idk.
The final game i would like to see is 1 year of STARDEW VALLEY which in that game is only 112 days and the completion time varies quite a lot depending on your playstyle (min maxing takes absurdly long but speedrunning can take no time at all)
100 Days - Terraria (40 hours)
100 Drops - Enter The Gungeon (10-100 hours The Better You Are, The Longer Your Runs)
1 Year - Stardew Valley (15-25 hours)
If you like minecraft, stardew will be great… if you like bullet hells then ETG is one of the best… and Terraria if you like having simple (but difficult) boss progression with tonnes of different kinds of weapons, items, pets, mounts and armour you have to discover

It would still make you immortal, even if you could die. Immortal refers to not being able to be killed permanently, so if you respawn, you are immortal. For example, in Greek Mythology, if you were to kill a monster, it would go to Tartarus, but come back later (length depends on monster)
