How to remove Tiguan/Passat Headrest?

This method is available for models from 2017 up I believe… for my Passat 2015 it was a different method for example, but on my new car, which is 2019 Arteon was this one…

This doesnt work in my 2023 Passat either. I can see the fixator inside but there is no button. I will attempt to bypass the fixator with perhaps a piece of plastic

I've ducktaped a small piece of plastic into the groove of the metal headrest pole. It went all the way down! I don't believe it affects safety since the upper part can still freely move forward.

Different method for cars under 2017… I had Passat B8 myself… u have two buttons under the plastic circles whete the headrest legs are… u can find it on youtube.

2:23 thanks, but does t work for a 2015 Passat. You have to use a credit card slipped under the cap under the headrest to. Ove the locking clips sideways. Terrible design

I think you would have to remove the plastic cover from the back is seat and un plug the cycle break like cable which is a safety measure and make sure to attach the cable back to activate headrest’s anti whiplash safety
