Totally agree with the serve. I practice 4 hours a week with a basket of balls. Started from 1 to 2 hours. Win rate dramatically increased.

Great vid! I’d add that always recording yourself during practice and doing real time and post session analysis can be hugely beneficial.

I had that tip filmed as a bonus but decided to leave it as the video was already long, but it’s definitely a great way to improve. Many players shy away from seeing themselves on camera

Very good video, I believe I will truly level up my tennis this year! My problem has often been that I unknowingly play with low intensity and then in matches, my level is much higher, but I make many mistakes because I’m not used to that much intensity in tennis. This is something I now plan on working on

Just what I was looking for… motivated to go up a level this year and had started some of these tips already good to see I am on the right track…I would like to see a video about going up the gears in a match…
I am learning that you usually can’t start a match like you finished your last one… you need to go through the gears to bring your game up to that level again… a few tips about this would be great! Like what should you mind set be at the start of game!

Thanks Coach! Superb advice and since I’ve been watching your videos and working on the things you say, I’ve seen immense improvement. Serve is coming…working hard on it. Once it comes to be, I’ll see you at Roland Garros (Wimbledon my 2nd fav)🎾🤗🙏🦅

You should do a video on wrist positions for all the strokes.

Great video and really good pointers. I was happy to discover i do most of these recommendations, when possible. The caveat to this is finding a partner that wants to do the same. There are only a couple of guys where i live that are really wanting to "train" and they are not always available...so one recommendation to add, if one can afford it, is to hit off a ball machine. There are pitfalls with that as well, but can be a good way to augment things.....
Thanks Simon - like button smashed! 🙂

Very true, there aren’t too many players who take the game that serious in most clubs

Technically I am using the semi western forehand grip, but I am feeling I am not getting a solid enough contact with the ball bc I feel the racket is too closed at contact...do you recommend I adjust the grip?
