I just tried this in a match yesterday evening. As soon as I got myself to load the front foot on the short ball it went exactly as you said. Been using your tips for a while now and this one was a gem for me. I think one minute tennis is absolutely one of the best tennis coaching channels I’ve seen. Thanks Steve! Debating which book to read first.
That's such a kind message Brad. I really hope I can continue to make tennis fun and to help players keep improving thank you so much. It's great that your enjoying the site. www.oneminutetennis.com
I've been trying to think of a drill for this subject. This is sooo clever. A year ago I messaged you and told you that your a genius. Well your now a better genius
Nice - I actually tried this by hitting a serve and then feeding myself the other ball. Probably not ideal but it helped get my head round hitting off the front foot.
Question: So with short balls the player should transfer weight into left leg as a righty then hit the ball but if hitting from baseline the player will mostly have weight in back leg and transfer their body weight into left leg after contact? In summary, baseline weight back leg then hit and short balls, weight left leg then hit?

Yes. Unless the short ball is very high.
Good
That problem is exactly what happened to me in my last match.....something to work on.
