@@Ian-pn1ff The proof is my eye witness account... I was there when the Admirals were asked about women in jets where they were very forceful in dealing with the young male pilots who complained and I was there in training with her in flight school. Not only that, but I was assigned to take her out and let her fly to get stick time outside her desk job as an Admiral's aide. Her flying skills were avg at best and honestly I'd suggest she was a bit below avg on the controls.
I served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. I understand. Some women are being forced out of the service when they report that their senior officer raped them. It doesn’t seem like a whole lot has changed. Their attitude is that the woman is at fault.
Aidah Di Leoni PEOPLE NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. I know a person this happened to, she was paid off to shut up. It was the Navy. This is an atrocity to all victims. The people who commit these crimes are Scott free. And the message sent is what? Service men can get away with sexual assault.

Good for you Paula. You fought back and didn't take the crap. Woman are some of the strongest people I know and can do just about anything a man can do and most of the time do it just as well if not better and with out complaining.
I'll go against the grain here and suggest, that maybe the best way to lower the occurrence of sexual assault in the military is to simply cut back on the military? The US currently has more military budget than the next 10 biggest military spenders combined, most of which are allies. The wars of the past 30 years have basically been a gold mine for the rich while utterly exploiting foreign countries through various war crimes, giving arms to militias, which surprise surprise then turn against the US, which has been occupying their homeland for years. But since cutting back on military spending is somehow off the table, then MORE FEMALE WAR CRIMINALS, I guess?
I now wonder what they do to civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan since there is wartime immunity unlike here where they would be prosecuted if the cases were handled correctly.
In war it is common for soldiers to rape and molest, the spoils of war...if you impregnate a nations women against their will the children will grow up hated, continuing the war long after the opposing nation has gone home...destroys a nation from within
Ok, time for the truth....I retired from service just as women were serving along side the men. All for it, but you have to serve just as a man will which requires heavy lifting, long hours, little sleep and attention to detail. Oh! and you can not get pregnant when I need you! What am I saying? I lost about a between 25-40% of my females before and during deployments, THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENTS FOR THEM!!! Replacement is always 6 months down the line and guess what, you have to train that replacement so, it's even further down the line! What happen when you have a 19 year old guy with a 19 year old girl in tight quarters? That's why I lose 25% of the females to pregnancy! And guess what....it's happening from the bottom to the top! I don't mean to offend....Peace!
This is part of a show we are doing on PBS called "Retro Report on PBS." Part of our mission as a nonprofit is to update our stories as news develops, because all too often news happens and then everyone forgets about it.
We're a nonprofit new organization and part of our mission is to update our stories as news arises. Over the years, we've partnered with many news organizations like The New York Times, the New Yorker, Politico, etc and right now we're in the midst of a partnership with PBS. So some of our stories are updates (like this one), while others are new.
My dad would ALWAYS say: "Right place, right time.". Thank God she spoke up. My hands were literally shaking at the end of this..It was so triggering.
RIP Vanessa Guillen. WHAT HAS CHANGED? ITS BEEN 30 YEARS!!!!!
this is so sad and disgusting
Thank you for speaking up. You were so brave in what you did.
She lied... she didn't excel and the Admiral DID condemn the outburst strongly.

Law & Order based an episode off of this shameful event.
I noticed as soon as they showed file footage of her in the 90s.
yes, good hype to go with the lies in this video
Impressive she saw that she started a change that helped our country. So did Trayvon & Floyd. Its the only way forward
Totally disgusting
😢
Good girl
I'd like to see the military go all female
Johnny Johnny Johnny
Who oppress women Taliban or US military
BOTH
This is loaded with lies and sadly, Paula is pretty delusional about many things in her life.
