Great selection. My top 5 would have to be 1- World rally 2- Top Racer 2 3- Radical Bikers 4- Battle Cars 5- Checkered Flag We could definitely do with some more racing games. The license thing will of course be an issue for certain games.
Great Choices. We definitely needs more racing games on Evercade. Here are some PS1 racing games that we could realistically see on Evercade. Formula Kart Special Edition Micro Maniacs Motorhead Renegade Racers Re-Volt SCARS
It's difficult to disagree with your opinion there. Other than swapping Racing Fever with ATR and maybe Top Gear/World Rally with their alternate series entries, I have to agree. Great list Crazy Burger! Hoping we'll see Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix for the Amiga, especially as it doesn't have the F1 licencing they assumed they'd easily obtain. Surprisingly detailed, I feel a control remap to the Evercade controller would modernise it to feel more accessible than the joystick-keyboard combo back in the day.
Oh yeah.. ATR is decent. I'm just rotten at it lol. I still have Geoff Crammond Grand Prix big box PC version. Lol I only bought a few PC games late 90s. It was awesome. I'd love this on evercade.
ATR is definitely on the "I must get better" list - it's pretty tough. That's pretty cool @@CrazyBurger. Sadly I think we only had the 4 Amiga floppies loose for Grand Prix.
There is a major shortage of racers on Evercade , most of the better stuff from the 16bit era was licensed , Micro Machines , Road Rash . Hopefully we could see the Lotus games come aboard at some point.
Road Rash may not come due to some ongoing franchise squabbles but a port of Road Redemption could, It's Road Rash in all but name. There's quite a few retro inspired racers out that would I think run on the evercades, things like Hotshot Racing and Horizon Chase Turbo that could port nicely, they're only Mega 32x level tech so could work a treat. The old Monaco GP from Megadrive would be nice to see too.
Great choices, especially Pitstop II which came out when I was doing either my "O" Grades or Prelims and I was playing this at every opportunity when I was mean't to be revising. Ended up having to cram the night before the exams but ended up doing ok anyways :-) Keep up the awesome work!
Do you think the Pitstops qualify as the first sim racers? Loved P2 on C64, P was good but I liked the split screen approach of 2 with a focussed opponent.
@@darthwiizius I think Chequered Flag on the ZX Spectrum qualifies as a sim racer and came out in 1982, the year before the original Pitstop was released. It's close though :-)
I forgot to add these racing games. Big Run (Amiga or Arcade) Chequered Flag (ZX Spectrum) Formula 1 Simulator (Amstrad CPC, C64, C16, MSX, ZX Spectrum) Final Lap Twin (PC Engine/TG16) Indy 500 (Atari 2600) Moto Roader (PC Engine/TG16) Scalextric (Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum) Victory Run (PC Engine/TG16) And due to copyright Indy 500 could be renamed to Race 500 as they did on the Atari - 50th: The Anniversary Celebration.

@@CrazyBurgerF17 Challenge is one of my most wanted games on Evercade. I would be happy with either the Amiga home computer version or the Amiga CD32 version. World Rally, Super Skidmarks (50hz only), ATR and Top Racer 1... I prefer Top Gear 2 on Megadrive/Genesis than the SNES version as it's running on MD Lotus Turbo Challenge engine, and there are slight differences in the track designs so worth a look if you like the SNES one.
@@genejoke8538 I loved Toca but I'm sure that'll be a license issue. Now VRally might be possible. Wasn't quite Colin Mcrae but is was pretty good if I recall. We Definitely need some of those decent ps1 racers

RE-Volt was an amazing game , the Dreamcast port was a lot better than the PS1 version especially when it comes to taking corners and spinning out.

Think I'd rather just play MD Lotus. I loved that game. I find skidmarks tough.. the Amiga version is much more forgiving and enjoyable.
