Neverwinter Nights [Enhanced Edition] - Monk hybrid vs Belial

Cleric 5/Wizard 4/Monk 9. The first two classes were mostly used as exp mules, by providing 5 bonus to ECL (Effective Character Level), meaning more exp from kills.
I was not expecting the fight vs Belial to take this long. The long turning time of my character wasted a entire round. Next time I will change the angle of the Burning Hands spell by 180 degrees.
Somehow I never found a single pair of random leveled Monk Gloves yet and that stretched the fight too. I hope Luskan will be more generous with the random drops.
It would not surprise me if switching to my Heartwood +4 Spear would have made the whole fight much faster = safer.
Looking back, I should have tried to disrupt Belial's casting. The Improved Knockdown feat can be a lifesaver.
I also should have used both the Divine Favor and the Prayer spell, in order to improve chance to hit.
In the end, the Greater Spell Mantle saved the day from the dreadful Implosion spell.
