Ethernet and wifi are not the same regardless of location. Ethernet is low latency. When i got my ps5 and had to transfer everything over from my ps4, i started the process with my ps5 hardwired, and my ps4 on wifi. It was estimated at about 5 hrs time. I switch the ps4 to Ethernet and it transferred everything in less than an hour.
