@@scarletbelmont9022 so jealous. I’m going to see Puscifer for the first time in July but I don’t think they will play this one. I will absolutely melt if I hear this live
Came out several months after my mother passed away...almost like Maynard channeled her message for me in this haunting version. What a tough year that was.
Sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the day myself. Stay strong. There’s positivity in this world - it’s just harder to find than it used to be. But it’s there. And stronger than ever as we all deal with the world today.
So sorry for your loss!! I hope you can always cherish her as much as she cherished you. She will forever be in your heart. She will always be with you. Never forget that.
I'm not usually one who likes it when artists deviate from their studio work in live shows but this is an incredibly therapeutic experience which surpasses the original in every way possible.
This ewas one of the first ways rhe song was released on a pre release the public got ahold of some how, like a few other songs they got a digitalizing. I don't think for the better as I prefer this eerie haunting feeling more.
We all are the sons of deceased mothers… we are all different Maynards, from all around the world, receiving our own personal message from our beloved departed moms… such a powerful song, powerful enough to speak to several people at once, with just a few lines. Luv ya Maynard, Luv ya Puscifer. I just f*cking needed this badly.
When the female singer comes in at 4:58 gives me chills. And then when she kicks in at 5:20, makes me tear up just a bit. Ok, I admit, that made me cry. This song always makes me think of my mother.
I have always loved this song. This version, where Maynard has decided to sing it up an octave (even though he could have done it down an octave as like the original) gives it such a beautiful energy. He has such a sweet voice. I tend to get annoyed with all these people bashing the new TOOL album because there is no screaming.... and my answer is always the same... What is the point of screaming when the entire message of the Fear Inoculum album is to totally deter from fear, hate, etc? And why not just accept the beauty of it, and this, and pretty much everything Maynard sings?
Tool has constantly evolved. Anyone who wanted an album full of songs like Undertow should have known better. I think FI is an tremendous culmination of their sound and vision. Truly an amazing album
If anyone hasn't heard the live Club Nokia version, Its pretty good too. Thank you for getting me through some tough times Puscifer. Live shows are def worth ticket price. Cant wait to see them again.
Don't expect to hear this version though. I'll be seeing them in Fort Worth next month as well... But they won't play this slowed down version. They're playing the Need for Speed re- mix
So jealous. I finally get to see them this July but i definitely missed out on seeing this performance. I can only hope they play this on the new tour but I doubt it
I've played this video a couple hundred times already, put my headphones on and closed my eyes... just saw the video, jezz Carina is such a beautiful woman.
I lost my mother long ago it never gets any easier just more tolerable the nightmares this song brings me but what a blissful misery I live in love you Maynard
Lot of his songs the Melo ones I love all his songs all his bands but the Melo songs his voice and plus the bands sound of course, It soothes me man, it soothes me.
~Momma Sed~ Listen up, son of mine Momma got something to tell you Changes come Life will have it's way With your pride, son Take it like a man Just Hang on, son of mine Storm's on your horizon Changes come Keep your dignity Take the high road Take it like a man Listen up, son of mine Momma got something to tell you All about growing pains Life will pound away Where the light don't shine, son Take it like a man Suck it up, son of mine Thunder on your horizon Changes come (Changes come) Keep your dignity (Keep your dignity) Take the high road (Take the high road) Take it like a man (Take it like a man) Momma said like the rain (This, too, shall pass) Like a kidney stone (This, too, shall pass) It's just a broken heart, son This pain will pass away ×3 This too shall pass away. ×2
The studio version of this song didn't really grab me, but this live version is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard.
The only one I like even more is alive @ Club Nokia. It's very similar, I just like its slight tweaks and better recording a bit more.
@@JonEffinZoidberg same here. That version was amazing.
Damn right!!!
Agreed. This version is Absolutely beautiful. Spiritual
@@JonEffinZoidberg Check the album live 'What is' ; same recording but cleaner
Carina's contribution at the end is pure magic!
carina is magic
How could a man write the most beautiful love song ever written from a mother to her son?
It's not just a man, it's a band.
Same with Tool. Most people praise Maynard, when in fact he comes at the end of the process with lyrics.
Unreal man. Music doesn't get much better than that. Fucking masterpiece
Absolute masterpiece. I’ve had the joy of seeing it live.
Makes me teary eyed every time... every time
@@scarletbelmont9022 so jealous. I’m going to see Puscifer for the first time in July but I don’t think they will play this one. I will absolutely melt if I hear this live
I Like original Better. Studio version.
MJK collaborating permanently with Carina Round is a goddam genius move.
Well put ❤️🖤!!
I fully believe this version is perfect in every way
It's just a broken heart son this pain will pass away.
I literally can't stop listening to this
it's like my 20th time today alone
stay strong!
Same
Me too
20th …..!!!! This is easily my 100 +
i realize I am pretty randomly asking but does anybody know a good place to stream newly released tv shows online?
If Maynard knew how many lives he’s touched....
certainly mine
He Stink Fisted me
He does. Him and Carina Round are amazing. I'm writing this in tears straight out of jail. This to shall pass.
AND Danny & Justin ETC 🤟
@Chadfield Clapsaddle millions my boy…. Millions

I sang Tool's wings for marie to my mom right before she passed. I will never forget that moment. Maynard is a treasure. Thanks you for everything.
So sorry for your loss!! I hope you can always cherish her as much as she cherished you. She will forever be in your heart. She will always be with you. Never forget that.
Goosebumps reading your post. I love this version and can see how it can help heal the soul. RIP to your mother
Truly sorry for your loss, mother's are sacred love them, they're the only one you have.Never take them for granted. I mourn your loss.
This is why i like artists that can actually sing. Doesnt matter live or recorded its THEIR voice not some fake crap
I’ll drink to that…He’s a superbly talented singer/musician
This version is a truly spiritual experience. Wish I was there.
I'm not usually one who likes it when artists deviate from their studio work in live shows but this is an incredibly therapeutic experience which surpasses the original in every way possible.
i used to think that way until i got deep into Led Zeppelin. Their music evolved over time and every single song of theirs has a better live version.
This version is great...original is better. But different. So...not always better.
This ewas one of the first ways rhe song was released on a pre release the public got ahold of some how, like a few other songs they got a digitalizing. I don't think for the better as I prefer this eerie haunting feeling more.
Kinda like "Pushit"...(Tool)
Only Maynard is capable…
It's amazing how many times they can masterfully tweak this song.
It's the melodies. They are beautiful no matter how they are played.
what a great way to reimagine an already cool song.
This song has helped me in so many ways... so powerful. Thanks for the upload.
Beautiful 🤘🏼
Great song !!! A helping hand for sure !
I'm glad it helped you, it's helped me a lot too

I connect with my mother every time I listen, she passed with cancer in 2017. Masterpiece
I take this as gospel after my mother passed away..

Love Carina Round. She is an excellent addition to Puscifer
Ohh yeahhhhh, she's amazing
We hear Music in our own way! I cry to so many songs because the lyrics and sound hit me to my core! This song is fuckin amazing in so many ways 💙💜🧡
The drum beat like a whip changed everything about this song. Good job.

Voice of an angel! I love you Manard! 🤗💕
best version of this song. PERIOD.
"Keep your dignity, take the high road, take it like a man" ! Beautiful and strong message.
Sounds like a modern day Pink Floyd and I absolutely love it.
This track just convinced me to go see them live in Oct....
Don't expect to hear this version though. I'll be seeing them in Fort Worth next month as well... But they won't play this slowed down version. They're playing the Need for Speed re- mix
I cant get enough of this song! I just love this sound and emotion. It really helped me through a divorce and other pains with that. Thankyou Maynard!
This song gets me thinking about everything even YOU but this pain will pass awayyy
I still can't believe that I got to see this tour live.... blows my mind how good this concert was, and is

His voice...my God!
This song has kept me from doing something completely selfish and...I don't have another word for it, for over a month now. Thank you JHK.
Embrace this moment, remember, we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion
It has really helped me as well. Stay strong, fellow Brian.
I hope you're still with us, bud... life can suck sometimes, but it's the only one we know for a fact we'll ever have.
Hope your still here

This is by far my favorite version... its pure gold....
This is one of his best.
What a great version of this song.
Guitar solo is gold.
Got a damn good cry out of this...❤️🔥
Chills every time...
I was emotionally and physically abused by someone who was close to me. This song really helped me realize it wasn’t my fault. Thanks MJK
This version is very Pink Floydish with the section build up of heavy guitar and ambient effects… love it!
Yeah no …. Wow ! This mans energy is EVERYTHING !!! … higher level descent master type ish . Ty for doing what u do Maynard 🤟🏻 Namaste 💗✨🙏🏻
This song makes me cry every time. Top notch song.
Mom left us four years ago. This song stings often.
This song always helped me in hard moments
Wow. Again. His voice. Blows me away. Totally. But then really totally. And carina. Fucking beautiful together ❤️
The time signature changes alive and well!
Maynard is a genius, sometimes I wish he decided at a young age that he was gonna cure cancer.
Dude, if you don't get goosebumps at that drop, we have significantly different goosebump initiators....
Such a powerfully beautiful song!
Such an Epic song.
Tears well up every time I hear it.
…every son should be told this truth
I lost my mother long ago it never gets any easier just more tolerable the nightmares this song brings me but what a blissful misery I live in love you Maynard
Amazing in every way possible
Tool, APC, Puscifer, doesn't matter. Maynard could start a band and call it "Sh*t Nugget" . Everything this man touches turns to pure gold
Just when I thought (Alive at Club Nokia) was the better version I stumble upon this one..... freaking amazing
An exquisite version of a magnificent song........spellbinding..........
That was dope.
Damn!!! This was killer!!! Amazing!!!!
Chills and tears ever time I hear this…wtf
I hear ya. I listen to this song a lot and hits all the feels every single time
Love from Sweden Whoop Whoop.
Lyrics written by someone who has clearly dared to actually live a life to its fullest. Love MJK's writing.
Beautiful
Spectacular version. Next level
Saving me through my trials right now. 🙏🏽
For my baby boy, when he grows older, he will grow stronger and wiser...I will forever, always love you my lil sweetness; keep your dignity...

This is the only voice for me. Ever. Always. Forever.
I've seen APC & Tool live, as soon as I see Puscifer live I can die a happy man
Lot of his songs the Melo ones I love all his songs all his bands but the Melo songs his voice and plus the bands sound of course,
It soothes me man, it soothes me.

Best version.
Speechless
~Momma Sed~
Listen up, son of mine
Momma got something to tell you
Changes come
Life will have it's way
With your pride, son
Take it like a man
Just Hang on, son of mine
Storm's on your horizon
Changes come
Keep your dignity
Take the high road
Take it like a man
Listen up, son of mine
Momma got something to tell you
All about growing pains
Life will pound away
Where the light don't shine, son
Take it like a man
Suck it up, son of mine
Thunder on your horizon
Changes come (Changes come)
Keep your dignity (Keep your dignity)
Take the high road (Take the high road)
Take it like a man (Take it like a man)
Momma said like the rain (This, too, shall pass)
Like a kidney stone (This, too, shall pass)
It's just a broken heart, son
This pain will pass away ×3
This too shall pass away. ×2
Outstanding
Amazing works!
Better than the original on so many levels..
