Frank is always impressive, but maybe the most impressive thing is how long he can carry a single take offloading just OODLES of information and not missing a beat or jump cutting every 2 seconds. Respect.
It's nice but they really need to lower the price quite a bit in order to make it compelling, $120 for the Elgato Stream Deck vs $279 for the Razer Version which realy just has a few more buttons/dials really doesn't seem worth it to me. Also, I would have liked to see some Razer integration for things like Razer Chroma for RGB and such.
Build quality, feel, design, stability on the desk while pressing buttons... There are things barely or not touched on at all in this video, which greatly contribute to user experience. He fails to mention that you can get something like AutoHotKey and write scripts with Chat GPT that can easily automate A LOT & about anything in your PC with the multitude of controls that the RAZER SC has... I feel like Random Frank has yet to understand the product properly. Also, going on & on about how complex it is... firstly, if you're even a bit tech savvy this will surely NOT seem daunting; secondly, complaining about a product that allows you to do a whole lot with a slew of professional applications (Premiere, DaVinci, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc) that many serious streamers would need use and giving you room to grow and learn without quickly reaching a point where you're gonna feel like you need better gear... that makes little sense, IMO.
It cost more than the allready established stream deck that has way more features more buttons and its own software.. Razer dont know what it is they want to do!
Wrong. Razer wants to do everything. Which is why they make some really bad products sometimes. They have some bangers, and they have some major flops. Like their monitor *cough cough*
@@wavytoad9983 that's what I like about them. They try everything. And yeh, sometimes shit isn't good, but its not like we have to buy everything they make, and even if one good new innovation is made every 3 products they try, that's a win imo.
Really really hoped it would have Razer controls in it. I really wish to have something like the stream deck that can control my Razer Chroma and Profiles because i have way to many lighting profiles on all my Razer devices.
you can have a button on your keyboard that leads to a profile with a bunch of keys remapped to change your lighting profile and the same button to change it back to your other kb profile :) hope this helps

Razer Chroma is already in the marketplace. I don't have a Chroma so I can't test it out, but it seems to have a lot of features. 17 if I count them correctly, with switch profile as one of them.
It´s disappointing to see a company like Razer take the easy and lazy road by just paying Loupdeck for the rights to put the Razer name on their product without adding anything new. You´re right, who in their right mind would wait for the release of the Razer versionm if the original is already on sale.
My favorite use of this is mapping to MIDI, and controlling Voicemeeter Banana and OBS to manage multiple audio sources and routing in one place. That’s actually the most significant reason I got it. Thinking about it now I wonder if I could just do that with a MIDI controller.
You're underestimating the appeal this will have for the Razer fan boys. Brand recognition alone will probably sell more units than loopdeck ever did even with a head start.
Touch portal and a fire hd10 for 80$ total is what I went with the last week instead of buying this or a elgato. We have the elgato at work just laying around so i used that and it was nice having buttons but I used the work tablet "2019 fire hd" and that honestly was better. so yeah I picked the tablet on sale for 70 and the app was like 13 or something and hella nice software other than having to restart it sometimes.
LoupeDeck made a great product ahead of its time and now with many more Techtubers giving the UA-cam space a go, these devices are becoming more essential. Just hope the prices come down for what they are and the software does improve.
I wanted either the loupedeck or stream deck for shortcuts mainly and streaming down the line. I choose the loupedeck as it looked better and was many years newer. I never really enjoyed it too much, the only thing I use it for today is to be able the use the dials to control the volume for each app, which even that is a bit iffy as you cannot control the order that the apps appear or hide apps such as razer synapse or the steam app which you would never need to control the volume for those. For example, Chrome might be on page 1 then I might need to change to page 2 to control the game volume. I spoke to Loupedeck about it they said it's coming from the computer mixer and cannot be configured at all. The software is not user-friendly as mentioned. Simple things like adding a bookmark was really hard at the start, and their folder approach which is that there are no folders just pages which use created shortcut buttons is really stressful. A year later I brought the Streamdeck on sale, which I love and would recommend it over the Loupedeck no matter what. Hopefully, in the future, the loupedeck software will be much better, but right now it's trash. 😥
I need Elgato to make this product. Make it a DAC as well. An all in one mic, audio, and stream deck. Literally perfect for creators and the integration with Elgato's other software and hardware
I like my streamdeck because I keep it towards the back of my desk near my monitor. This big gadget you'd need to keep right by you to access all the buttons. For the buttons I really enjoy my tour box. The streamdeck and the tourbox is a perfect combo.
loupedeck live isn't available officially in Malaysia. The cost of some company importing the thing is rather ridiculous, so with Razer branding, the price would be a lot more comparable and competitive against the elgato stream deck.
Too many options? I can't complain about too many options! Imagine having too little option, now that's worth a complaint. They probably wanted to push it more into the gaming sphere instead of video editing sphere. I'd like to have one, it's just a tad expensive.
I own both. It is not the many options but the bad implementation and how hard and complicated it is to make simple stuff work, like a website shortcut for example. Stream deck is equally powerful when it comes to automations but 10 times easier and more user friendly. Except if anyone has a very specific use for the knobs, that are loupedeck only, I would suggest go for the legato.
I've been lusting after the concept of the Loupedeck Live for a while, but the software shortcomings have kept me from pulling the trigger. I'm hoping Razer's involvement will boost the software development and optimization as well as linking into Synapse. My use cases would be CAD, Adobe, controls during gaming, Home Assistant controls from my desk, and general use shortcuts/control
This is what's keeping me from jumping off my Stream Deck, it's probably a better device overall in terms of features, but Elgato's software and plugin support isn't something I'm willing to give up.
Here's an idea, stream deck phone app. If Clip Studio can make a Tab-Mate controller app for artists to access tools without having the UI on the tablet screen, a stream deck app for Twitch is totally possible.
I just use a 75% keyboard with a MAX Keyboards Falcon 20 and have all of my OBS hotkeys set to F13-F20. Alongside that I also use all the numpad keys as those are distinct from the number bar keys and that gets the job done just fine.
Got to have physical push buttons, otherwise its just a touch tablet/phone and that sucks when in the heat of a stream and not able to constantly look at what you're pressing.
the stream deck has some stuff going for it because elgato is owned by corsair so theyll have some integration there. this could have been great if it was an on the fly synapse piece or something equivalent to that. i dont really need a dedicated macro to launch synapse because i dont find myself opening it all that often to begin with but having all the control over synapse at my fingertips might change that. hopefully it does eventually get proper support there because aside from their siren v2 mic i dont see them really doing anything great in the streaming space
Glad to see it uses loopdeck software. Razer… their software has become nearly inoperable for many. Pointless crashes constantly. I used to have a Razer Kiyo and every time I turned on the camera feed preview, synapse would crash. (All on a top spec pc) currently am looking for other ecosystems than Razer…
I'm pretty much all in on alexa now, considering Google, but all the pc branded systems just aren't made to be all rounded let alone highly functioning
Half the time my synapse just shits itself. Out of the blue nothing is working with it. Never had it blue screen yet. I should try and blue screen my PC.
I wanted the loupe deck live so bad and still kind of do but its crazy to see there's no update with the razer what would be the purpose? to sell it on razer website?
The beautiful irony in the fact that I started scrolling down to see if there was a price listed anywhere in the description only seconds before he started talking about attention spans being so little these days 🤣
Can you use it to control multiple audio outputs? For example I have a razer audio controller where I can switch voice chat/game audio levels separately, but I’d like to be able to control more such as music or videos
Why doesn't Elgato go the route of knobs and faders. I would buy an Elgato stream deck with knobs and faders. Look at the beacn and goxlr. Get on it Elgato
Frank is always impressive, but maybe the most impressive thing is how long he can carry a single take offloading just OODLES of information and not missing a beat or jump cutting every 2 seconds. Respect.
This is true, he crams more useful info into 10 minute overview than many do in a 40 minute full on review
They slapped a Razer logo on it and upped the price by $100
Edit : It was a joke I’m pretty sure the price change is only $30
That’s razer for ya
Hard pass because of that
apple be like
Huh? the price of loupedeck n razer one is the same. Both are 269 usd
@@jackfittell1760 its only $10 more, what ya on about

Hmmm, depending on how assignable that is. It could be a fantastic button box for sim games. Since the Stream Deck lacks knobs.
They should make a smaller one to compete with the Elgato Stream Deck mini.
They should make a bigger one
@@The00man I agree... Razer should make a keyboard...
Razer Stream Controller x
It cost more than the allready established stream deck that has way more features more buttons and its own software.. Razer dont know what it is they want to do!
but it looks so cool
Id love an Elgato deck with knobs

Whenever I have software with lists like that, I usually start leaning on the search function which I hope is decent enough for people out there
Really really hoped it would have Razer controls in it. I really wish to have something like the stream deck that can control my Razer Chroma and Profiles because i have way to many lighting profiles on all my Razer devices.

Loving the oppening explanation!🤣🤣
I love you man, been watching for 7 years, if I had to guess. Still here and you do NOT disappoint.

I was just going to ask if it could be used as a MIDI controller. I'd like some kind of physical controls for my SDR software
Would Beacn Mix Create not do this?
You're underestimating the appeal this will have for the Razer fan boys. Brand recognition alone will probably sell more units than loopdeck ever did even with a head start.

If you are buying this for Spotify controls don't bother-- they haven't fixed the Spotify account integration in over 2 years

this is like the razer version of the sony wxm4 headphones, basically the same product but with razer branding
Title should read "Razer rebranded a Loupedeck!"

There are probably software implementations that could help. Try something like Voicemeeter and route all your audio through that.
I need Elgato to make this product. Make it a DAC as well. An all in one mic, audio, and stream deck. Literally perfect for creators and the integration with Elgato's other software and hardware
Oh my god what a wild ride the opening explanation was lol
Your product + our logo = "Collaboration"

LMAO that intro was legendary

They should have named it Razer Loupedeck. I like it
A refreshed DeathStalker but with hotswap sockets and some modern upgrades would be an interesting product.
Hi frank I’ve been watching for along time I recommend your channel to alots of my friends and they enjoy your channel too!
Wait, so this also just uses the same Loupedeck software? So the only difference would be the packaging, logo and price?
Yo RFP! a bit new to your channel, good stuff, I'm in love with those black and teal keycaps you're using, where can I find those?
Hey Frank so have you decided which E car you're going with? Tesla or E Mustang? I personally went with the Lightning F150 Platinum
The word "made" in the title should have quotes around it lol
That intro was a ride in itself 😂
I use the Stream Deck for my Alibre CAD software. I wish they had some pre-made profiles for 3D CAD software. Manual setup can be tedious.
ah yes. stream deck and loupdeck live had a baby
razer is hunting down tons of streaming companies lol
I just use a 75% keyboard with a MAX Keyboards Falcon 20 and have all of my OBS hotkeys set to F13-F20. Alongside that I also use all the numpad keys as those are distinct from the number bar keys and that gets the job done just fine.
That bit in the beginning I need more of that! Haha
Reminds me of someone when they were a teen, they'd call everyone "yo dawg"
I wonder if the knobs will suck after some time, like the one on the Razer Huntsman keyboard
Elgato streamdeck + vs loupedeck live witch better bro.?
For 279, you might as well get the Elgato XL. It's only $199 and you get 32 damn keys. Or you could get the base Elgato for like $109 on amazon...
Can the stream deck be used for reloading or grenades in fps games?
Got to have physical push buttons, otherwise its just a touch tablet/phone and that sucks when in the heat of a stream and not able to constantly look at what you're pressing.

If you were to just get the loopdeck today, does it have the same updated software?

Half the time my synapse just shits itself. Out of the blue nothing is working with it. Never had it blue screen yet. I should try and blue screen my PC.
As a writer, I would kill for one of these decks with a preset for Scrivener or Word.
Hey Frank, can you review the Akko MOD 008? The 65% with a knob. It would really be great! Thanks!
wuuuut uuup been using the LD for over a year now and i love it $$$$
Hm nice, I see an Affinity Photo thing in the video here. Elgato's doesn't have Affinity Photo native support, but there's an icon pack..
I see that has cubase ableton etc, thats cool
I wanted the loupe deck live so bad and still kind of do but its crazy to see there's no update with the razer what would be the purpose? to sell it on razer website?
The beautiful irony in the fact that I started scrolling down to see if there was a price listed anywhere in the description only seconds before he started talking about attention spans being so little these days 🤣
Why dont you make video about razer ornata v3? It was released like three weeks already. And its already on amazon.
Neat product, hilarious price
The Stream Deck XL is so much more useful, especially on the Mac with Keyboard Maestro and Better Touch Tool.
what was the steelseries keyboard with the black and cyan keys with the hand rest?
can u load wave link into it and use the knobs for all the volumes
Can you please review the cepter Amber mini?
Where can I find the bnc cable you used?
Can you use it to control multiple audio outputs? For example I have a razer audio controller where I can switch voice chat/game audio levels separately, but I’d like to be able to control more such as music or videos
I'm wondering the same thing
whats the diffrence between this and the loupdeck ct?
Good info.

3:40 What's a dragon drop?
Do they have sony vegas profiles?
So cool I might buy and great video :D
Don’t have to wait until fall for the stream deck from razer tho, they are released now
Man I wish these things dont always cost professional studio levels of pricey
1 year later, whats stopping me from buy the Loupdeck live over Razer? $69 more for the Loupdeck lol.
That was my 1st thought it looks like loupedeck
Can I use this to control an iPad?
Could any owner of the Loupedeck Live / Razer Stream Deck advise, whether there is an option to show system stats such as CPU / GPU temps as a graph?
Wow the Razer looks so much better than the Loupedeck 😶
I think the loopdeck is better than the elgato stream deck. The loopdeck is like the stream deck on steroids
The analog dial is great, but won't be worth to 279 bucks. Besides, if with wireless it'll be wonderful, seriously.
Dope intro no wonder you said that it took you a bunch of takes.
Maybe by the time they drop it there will be Razer esk exclusives
LMAO I love the intro !
Soild intro,
Thank you for the laughs.
So a loupedeck made by loupedeck with a razer badge that costs more than a loupedeck!!!
lmao knowing razer, im surprised they didnt add an RGB glow on the bottom or something
Bit disappointing Razer didn't just make their own using an updated variant of their display keys that they used with all their Switchblade stuff.
Waiting to see how much Razer tax they slapped on top 🤣
can i control de volumen of a specific program ?
sad they just slapped their logo on the Loupedeck Live.
Why doesn't Elgato go the route of knobs and faders. I would buy an Elgato stream deck with knobs and faders. Look at the beacn and goxlr. Get on it Elgato
Lol...
'Oh s*it!'
Frank: too much to choose from oh no
I just use touch panel maybe bit more of a set up but can do the same and more and look better then any of these
Bring the unloaded videos back please !!
have this gif support?
1:22 doo doo :D
