THANK YOU. For once, someone doing a playthrough has their actual tone (idk what you call it for drums) in the video instead of just having the track play. I like being able to hear the actual playing.

blackjackmcgack That's fine, that's not what I meant haha. I'm talking about when a band does a playthrough video and don't even bother to re-record the instrument, they just make a video of them playing overtop of the original track.

+blackjackmcgack Isn't cheating, when the drummer live far away, it's more simple for him to stay at home and do his part with a good VST than come with his drum and lost money/time/energy to that, we're in 2015, he do it in Live, so he didn't cheat at all.
to play the drums good is one thing, but to make it look cool aswell is another thing. Really digging his style. Makes me proud to be russian

Don't know why but by unpopular opinion, I really like this tuning of the snare on this album, I need more.

@ kayden just crank the batter head up to the max ( helps a lot with rebound ) and tighten up the snare wires too. if you want to get rid of the echoing just tune the 4 lower screws on the batter head lower than the rest i hope you can understand me because iam not an native english speaker haha edit: the resonant head has to be tuned a bit looser than the batter almost forgot about that

I know it's a little too early to tell, but this dude is easily one of the best drummers in the metal scene.
Alex Morrell I've already seen it. Kitcher is the only young drummer I'd place over this guy, Anton. Lugal Ki En had some insane drum work but this guy is right on kitchers ass.
Aidan Miller Actually, I like this guy a lot more. You can tell that Rings of Saturn has a lot of time-alignment in their drumming, and sample replacement. this guy needs no time alignment, no tempo change, but I think he does sample some of his drums, which I disaprove of.

As Vultures Circle off the EP is some of the best drumming I’ve ever heard . All his techniques blend into one ! He mixes creative rolls with the floor Toms and the double bass . Small kits create creativity!

Do you just not know anything about drums? That's like a bottom of the barrel Sonor kit you could find for probably much less than a Zildjian Mega Bell. "Raw cut" doesn't mean shit. It's a studio recording. If your drums sound like absolute shit mic'd, they probably just sound like shit. His playing is obviously great for technical metal but his kits tone/sound is awful.

And yes I know a thing or two about drums. Pro metal player myself. 9 piece double bass Mapex Blaster kit. Axis pedals. Zildjian cymbals. Sure mics. Presonus 24 channel mixer.

Its really interesting to see him use such a small kit, and it proves that you don't need a massive double bass drum kit to play death metal plus it sounds large on the record so you cant tell the difference!
