Great Overview on the many Types of Stainless Steel. Great training for all shop-floor professionals. Thanks for your efforts and you are an outstanding instructor. Thanks! T J (Tom) Vanderloop, CMfgE; Author, Mechanical Designer, and Consultant, ATEA, AWS, and SME-Life Member
Thank you for this video! I have a query about Austenitic Stainless Steels. Even though these steels have the FCC Austenitic microstructure, why are they not heat-treatable?
Austenitic stainless steels do not change structure on heating or cooling, ergo not heat treatable like the martensitic stainless steels which are austenitic at high temperature but become martensitic on cooling.
I work in a small aerospace shop we work with a lot of CRES 304. We do see it pick up slight magnetism from our swiss lathes. More so than other 200 & 300 stainless we work with. I will Sub if you tell me those are Lego sets in your background window sill.
They are indeed Lego sets. Thanks for commenting about them! First one and they've been there a while :) just started 3d printing. Watch out for those in the future. Thanks for watching.
Good information but The most successful speakers are those who change the tone and pitch of their voice throughout their presentation. Vocal variety increases your charisma and makes you more interesting. Sorry but you lost me ..however great information thank you. And please pause when necessary, then you don't sound rambling..
You are correct but please keep in mind, this was my first video in the series upon restarting in 2020. If you would consider watching any of the last 6 videos, you'd see the same content but redone. I've taken similar scripts from then and tried them again because I felt the same! Lmk if you feel I've done slightly better ;)
