A Jay!

Jays are the most colourful members of the crow family, but usually spot me first, so are quite difficult to see. They are known for being shy woodland birds, so it was a privilege to see this wood sprite with those vibrant blue wing stripes. They usually feed on acorns, nuts, seeds and insects, but also eats nestlings of other birds and small mammals.
