THANK YOU!! for posting this video. Your knowledge and video just helped this 60+ yr old lady fix my own dryer by myself. It works Perfect! Again sincere gratitude!
Thanks so much for putting up this video. A technician couldn't come before another week and a half, so I decided to give youtube a shot. You saved me the cost of a technician coming over. Much appreciated!!
Thank you! I read/watched enough to learn that reset switch was in there somewhere, but yours was the only one to explain how to get the top off and show me (exactly) where the switch was. An easy fix! And, curse Bosch (24 screws later) for not putting a simple access plate to get to it. Thanks again for the advice and saving me a lot of money and headaches.
THANK YOU! Yup. Worked. Depressing the breaker button ... it went in with a very satisfying click/catch. Note to those drying clothes: always clear the lint filter first.
I have an appointment this morning to install a new heating element in this exact dryer and will give this a look first thing, I don't know it the customer can return the new element but if this is the issue we will both be very happy. Thank you for the video.
This worked for me. Thank you. I was thinking that I had lost the heating coils, but pushing the reset button fixed the dryer. Now why in the world they didn't add a small panel that you could open to press that reset button is beyond me. I'd guess if you had to have a repairman fix your dryer it would be between 100 and 300 dollars, and all the repairman would have to do is press that button.
Thank you sir, I have a different Bosch model with a different temp sensor, but your info helped me solve the problem and saved me much stress> THANK YOU!!!!
I am so pleased!! This worked so fast and so easy. thank you for saving me the time. I understood the reset button as soon as I saw what you had explained. Tedious to move all em screws!!! Lord - do you think there are enough of them? ;) I took the exposed back and cleared out all the excess dust that had built up at same time. Fire scares me and that is a great spot for them to happen. I could not easily clear out the draft collector at the initial lint trap in the dryer that the catcher is in, but did throw a blower in there to push out any thing that I could not easily reach. so pleased that i did this. Thank you for your easy correction to what seemed daunting!!!
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Caleb Odin thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thank you so very much very helpful!! Now if some of these makers would be so kind to add an access door it would make it so much easier then the 10000 screws you have to take out of the back
Awesome.. yup, there was a panel in the back, that encompassed just the fan to circulate air over the heat coils. At first I thought I had found the wrong panel but then saw the little red button. I should have taken a picture.. but forgot. +1 like
You're awesome and I appreciate ANY input when it comes to my tahoe... I am capable and compitent to fix my vehicles, working on cars is my happy place lol. Right now it's my ac compressor. I have the new one but because she is my pride and joy, I don't want to f*ck anything up. I dou t myself a lot. I just need someone to tell me step by step, what I need to do. I've said a lot lol I'm just passionate about cars. Lol
Laura Bermeo passion is great! When it comes to A/C I usually bring them to a shop, not that I’m not capable, it’s just the releasing of the contents, purging, vacuuming the air(any contamination) and successful charging
Dear Rad 2087, thanks for posting this video as my Bosch Nexxt 500 series dryer (Model WTMC332SUS) recently stopped heating. Cleaned out vents and lint box, hit the red reset button; but the heating coils still did not turn on. Ran a continuity test on coil and temperature limiter - and both had continuity. The only thing I didn't test was the impedance of the sensor (didn't know how). I stupidly bought and installed a new heating unit (which includes the temperature limiter and sensor. anyway) - and installed - but still no heat. The motor still runs, drum turns - just no heat. Are there any thermal fuses that may have blown and need to be replaced? Not sure where to look next. Thoughts and/or suggestions? thank you in advance for your help.
Dear Rad 2087, Thank you for replying to my question. I really appreciate it. Because the Control Board (OEM#00666016) is one of the more expensive parts to replace; I tried replacing the relay first (part #00422203). Although relays are typically pretty reliable - I thought I would replace the relay first. I tested the old relaying by trying to close the circuit using a 9 volt battery - only to find out that I can't close the circuit without and alternating current. Live and learn....lol. To make a long story short, replacing the relay did not work. I bought a control panel (OEM part #00666016) for relatively cheap ($55 including s&h). After taking pictures, replaced the control board - and the dryer worked!!!! Wouldn't have been able to fix my dryer without your help - SO THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH. We were in a pickle, becuase the space for the existing dryer is 28" W x 38" H - and when we went shopping....there were no dryer washer sets that was less than 38" in Height. We would have had to tear down some wall cabinets to open up space for today's modeles of washer and dryers. We appreciate you!!! Peace. out.
My Bosch 500 series dryer stops before clothes are dry, it's heating but stops before clothes are dry, also there is water in the filter, enough to get the floor wet, what is your opinion on this?
If the dryer gets too hot to touch is this reset button bad and needs replacement or does something else control when to turn off the heat coils? My Nexxt 500 dryer stopped producing heat so I used the reset button, and it heated up again but very hot. The coils never stop glowing red.
Hello good day How are you? Thanks for the video,i need your help on bosch dryer wte86184,have tried everything I saw you did on the video but yet the Bosch dryer is not working and still 5 every five minutes, not only that it's still won't get hot even when working and stop every five minutes. I will be glad if you can me ASAP
I’m sorry to hear but your situation sounds like you may have other errors triggering the control board, contacting a Bosch tech would be a better way to find resolution for this issue.
My dryer is not heating.. the reset button was already pressed in when i took the back off.. i also cleaned the sensor in the lint trap.. still not heating 😢😢😢
yes, absolutely clean the front lint tray very good and I even had to use a coat hanger to unclog the side hole next to lint filter. I helps to have a vacuum sucking up the lint as you do that.
The coat hanger is a great idea! I spent some time trying to figure out what in my garage could unclog that hole bc a bunch of lint is lining that area but I couldnt find something long and thin enough. If that doesnt work Ill take the back off like you. Thanks for the advice!

Too bad you don't have an older tahoe... I'd definitely watch your videos.
Hope it works!
Also Laura , all be it I don’t have a Tahoe but have extensive experience as a mechanic and had owned one, let me know what the issue is?

Rad, I also had this problem and the reset worked, however it continues to trip within a few days. Any ideas on what could cause this? Thanks, Bill

just a guess, but it sounds like the control board isn't talking to the heating element... but again just a guess, sorry, good luck!

Well, it sounds like the clothes may be going in too wet… very weird, did you try the reset in the video?

I don’t know enough to say for sure. But I would definitely suspect the reset is bad due to over temp. You definitely don’t want an over temp dryer.
thanks@@rad2087
I replace the heat temperature switch. It come onfor about 5 seconds than goes off is that normal thanks Joe
Shelley Gadoury no , display fault code or something?

What is the name of the took you used to open the dryer? The name of the screw driver
This was years ago, but I believe it’s a Phillips head screwdriver, looks like a cross at the tip
@@rad2087 thank you for responding!!
My dryer is not heating.. the reset button was already pressed in when i took the back off.. i also cleaned the sensor in the lint trap.. still not heating 😢😢😢
Thanks for this. Saved my livelihood, marriage, and money on a service call.
mines heating but not drying. Trying to figure it out.
H berry I would check to see about the fan is connected and see if you have a a good volume of air coming out the exhaust
I have an ok output of air but I think what could be the problem is that its an old dryer and needs to have the lint cleaned out of it.
yes, absolutely clean the front lint tray very good and I even had to use a coat hanger to unclog the side hole next to lint filter. I helps to have a vacuum sucking up the lint as you do that.
