I think the episode Snow Day is the best of CSI:NY because of the danger, action, nobody is spared (but Peyton, not my favorite). And this song... I love it.

the songs name is Forsaken, sang by David Draiman of Disturbed
they wrote it for a film namely Queen of the Damned
really good film too
several metal bands and singers wrote songs for that film

Great episode. But in the longer story timeline, it looks like Mac Taylor is committing career suicide and just don't give a f**k.. He just (in the previous episode arc) blackmailed his boss into calling off the media-fueled destruction of his career. So, he builds a bomb that blows a significant hole in the building (killing 2 hostile intruders), and just grabs his coroner-girlfriend and takes off for London for a couple weeks...no debrief, no questions...he doesn't stop to even ask if Adam or Danny are okay (Hawkes had Adam's bloody ID pass, so Mac & Stella had proof something was wrong outside the lab.) Just fought to outfox Sinclair & Gerrard...suddenly running the show like a gambler playing with house money.
