- The Dodge Viper has had one weird reputation. From the car that you simply shouldn't drive from the danger it presented, to one of the best tuner platforms of all time. Today we hop in this incredible Nth Moto Dodge Twin Turbo Dodge Viper making 1400HP to the wheels. Not only is the thrill top notch - it's also still a classic manual transmission! So is a TT Viper everything I ever imagined? Let's get into it.

Holy moly. This was crazy.
Hey dude I have a video suggestion. Could you review Both the BMW E46 330i and the 2022 GR86/BRZ? Why I ask is because the E46 offers a digital cluster and other modern amenities plus you could build the bottom end and make big power all at a extreme cheaper price especially after dealer mark ups and all while being faster stock to stock on paper. I believe it will offer some great content ☺️
Imagine if Dodge bought this car back but with 2,000hp stock with a modified Hellephant engine
I love that at around 7:47 to 7:49 the turbos combined with the wind noise from outside the car, kinda sounds like a snake hissing. Badass car man
So would you own one?
I remember going to a Dodge dealership in 1991 and getting a promo pic and seeing it in person the first time. Only vehicle to strike that with me was driving a Syclone in 1992
The Viper is THE car that scares me the most, even bone-stock, and that's why i love it so much
And like he said, the 5th gen isn't trying to kill you nearly as much as the earlier ones
what do you normally drive a Camry?
@@0Heeroyuy01 nothing actually, i dont have a car
@@itsdokko2990 guessing you live in a big city then were public transit is available?
or a super small town where walking to the store or work is like a 20 min walk
@@0Heeroyuy01 south america, in a small city. You see, we get cars straight from korea and japan but it's rather hard to get a car, with all the costs included, and also, not too long ago i started my first serious job, so it's gonna be a while before i can afford even a used car, with my minimum wage job. The part of being able to walk to your destination is kinda true, with enough determination you can traverse the whole city from north to south lmao. And honestly, even though i love cars, i'd rather get a bike. According to statistics, there's like 2 cars per person in my city, so finding parking space is hellish. (sorry 4 the paragraph)
I still find it so crazy that 1400hp is so acquirable like 20 years ago 500hp was considered fast af 😂😂
500hp is still fast af lol
500 in a light car is fast. 500 is still a low 10 second car in a car that weighs 3400lbs.
@@karlhopkins713 fast is a relative term. To some people 10s is fast. To some people 10s feels very slow.
@@tangstanggt5006 exactly! For anything 7 seconds & above is slow to me
@@benjamindo8142 its insane how much faster a 9 second car feels than a 10 sec car. A 8 sec car feels leaps and bounds faster! I can't wait to get my corvette on the track and feel what 2000 hp feels like. It is my first 7 second capable car.
it's crazy to think that drag Vipers are making twice the power than this already insane one. 3000+
Same with gtr's.
@@madkas14 I had an R35 2009 a few years ago at 570whp and it was already a little beast so can't imagine ahahah
@@bladelee193 yeah I spent a few days with a 2014 r35, it was a beast. 140+mph feels so stable. That launch control is something else.
Best RWD platform, I love mine. I read either from Nth Moto or Antonio Calvo himself that 1800hp was the limit for the built manual trans. That's the setup right there. TT V10, manual!!!!!!!!
Now with the billet blocks they’re making over 4000 ☠️
Gonna be honest, i wanna see this guy in a 2500hp viper now
Boys at calvo need to hook him up 💪 should share this to them
@@trae3290 don't sleep on NTH moto lol there right up there with Calvo and make alot of 2200-3000 hp builds
Ugh, this is my absolute dream car. The Viper has been my favorite car since I was a kid, and to me, there's nothing in the world like a fifth gen Viper GTS. Yes, the ACR is incredible, but I feel the GTS is better for the street. Such a beautiful machine.
You and me both bro.
Always had a special place in my heart for Vipers.. It was the modern re-do of the Shelby AC-Cobra, from the ground up was engineered to be THAT car in the modern day. Dodge, bring it back.
I agree 100% Dodge! For old times sake. The end is near so do it as a big honking gas guzzling V-10 powered 🖕to the latte-sipping, soy boy establishment pantywaists. God Bless America❗🇺🇲
They would make it electric 🙄
@@ydoc3819 worst case scenario If I cant have one as my retirement car, I'll buy a factory 5 Daytona Coupe and just build that instead.
@@ydoc3819 I read that If they bring it back it won’t have the V10
Viper was my childhood dream car, Ty for the fire content as usual bro 🔥🤘🏼
You’re welcome!
Was? Did you get one bro?
@@NewDemons666 Dude! It's still my childhood dream car! Guess what? I just turned 65. I gotta tell you, growing up is SO overrated.🤔
@@NewDemons666 No but he became an astronaut! Hahaha
these cars are so underated i feel like its going to become a million dollar classic car in 30 years
Vipers are not underated lol
Compared to hellcats they are underrated
@@velocity769 The viper has been the king of the road in the U.S. for nearly 30 years running. Hellcats and Demons are getting some well deserved attention now, but I don't know if any other (4 wheeled) vehicle has *ever* gained the notariety of the Vipers. It was advertised from day one as a car that you had to be a little bit crazy to buy, because it would unashamedly try to kill you if you didn't know what you were doing.
@@velocity769 no they’re not bruh underrated doesn’t come with a 300k price tag
Gonna be alot sooner than 30
Great review david!
Nth moto is the top viper builder in the world. Other shops have had success but have always been chasing the nth moto level.
David, I've been watching you since about a year after you started, and you're still providing the quality videos you always have. Thank you, your videos have helped me during a tough time in my life.
The best sports car the USA has ever put out imo, big burly, naturally aspirated, V10, rear wheel drive, manual transmission only, as little bells and whistles found in modern sports cars as it could possibly get away with, and as pure of a driving experience as it can get.
I wish dodge brought back the viper for a couples years for a “last hurrah”
I thought they did that with the north American circuit records? I mean that's one hell of a hurrah
With all the charger and challenger hellcat setups I feel like it’s only a matter of time for dodge to make that happen. Would love to see this happen as well
You mean like a viper final edition?
The way they are doing we’ll be lucky to see one that’s not a shitbox EV. Even if you like EVs I just can’t get with it. Fake sound will never replace the spool of turbos, chop of a nasty cam, or the whine of a blower.
They won't. We're struggling to get parts as is, specifically, window regulators
Was super excited to see the intercooler piping in one of the beauty shots of the engine bay near the begining, knew for sure it was an Nth Moto build after that. Had the opportunity to see in person the Nth Moto "Mudtruck" and "Colosus" (silver acr with C7ZLOL plate) at woodward dream cruise. Nth Moto makes absolute works of art.
If you see bead locks on a viper, be afraid, be very afraid
Owning one of those Vipers; I know just how fast a 3rd gear pull is and boy is it flying - even if he didn’t take the pull all the way to redline. Great vid 👍
5th gen Viper is one of the sexiest cars ever made 😍😍😍
This is amazing. I am watching this on my PC and I have a Bose CInemate as my sound system... the walls are shaking as you are talking and the car is idling.
This is honestly my dream car
this has always been my dream car. I am freaking stoked I got to watch you drive it. one day I hope to own one.
Brooo the B-roll shots of this car are amazing. Keep up the fantastic work David!!!
Great work David. Best vid in a while
Great video wish we could have see it up against another car. Love the car about to buy 1 hear in the next few weeks and that just solidifies along with all the other Viper videos how solid this car is. Thanks for the content. 👍🤘
ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTOMOTIVE UA-camRS DAVID IN ONE OF MY DREAMS CARS A WICKED FASTED VIPER 😮😮 WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!! LOVE IT
6:04 That was just the Viper's snake hiss to let you know to be careful hahaha! 😁
My first gen Viper was my first proper out of the showroom fast vehicle and I loved it. You had to be patient driving it and really wait until you were straight coming out of a corner before you even breathed on the throttle lol. But all that considered it was lots of fun to drive
I see Viper, I much click on video! Great content! Rolling shots were great also.
A GTR drivers worst nightmare indeed. Imagine actually needing to know how to drive....
Most GTR fanboys are millennials that dont know how to drive a manual. So naturally they would gravitate towards a hopped up awd G35 coupe.
My glob this is one of my dream cars. I'll never forget the ride along I got to sit in a 97 viper. Such a cool car.
Has to be my favorite domestic car. Absolutely love the "new" vipers.
The Viper was my poster car growing up. The 1998 GTS-R was the ultimate dream car. Buying 1/18 scales RT-10 and GTS then proceeding to go over every detail of them for hours. Purchasing and consuming all types of brochures to learn everything about them. The 5th Gen to me is the complete perfected Viper and I will one day own one. Even to this day, seeing an RT-10 on the street makes me stand in awe. I love my GTR but the Viper will always be my favorite!
David after this weekend this is perfect. I found my 1990 Dale Sr model truck hauler and car and other treasures
the potential of the modern viper platform is insane. the engines from the factory are so strong and barley being pushed. great cars. would love a white 5th gen.
Dodge Viper ACR is the ultimate vehicle! It is one of my top five favorite cars. Even over a GTR. Skyline GTR R33 is my favorite Japanese car. Dodge Viper is my favorite muscle car. After that would be 1968 Fastback Mustang. Most of the car youtube channels are guys showing their GTR R35, BMWs, Porsche, and Lamborghini. I would take a Dodge Viper over any other car. Dodge Viper ACR always has good track records on Nürburgring. It is a car that can be used on the drag str*p or race track, and still look like a street car on the road. I have seen videos of this car take off from 60 or 70mph on the highway and shoot flames like a rocket. The 3,300 horsepower KRATOS Dodge Viper is incredible.
Nah..my respect for the Viper. I'm just not a fan of its clown shoe looks especially the first generation.
My dad had a 1st gen viper growing up I was so little I thought it was the batmobile, so many great memories in that car.
Gen 5 Viper with $40,000 in mods: A bank account's worst nightmare.
Diggin all the mopar love lately!
Hell yeah. The Dodge Viper , The Chevrolet Corvette, and The Ford GT are the best American Cars ever made. 🇺🇸
Fs
W picks 😎
The GT 500 🤔
🦅 🇺🇸
Youve gotta add the Saleen S7 and S7TT to that list too, check those out.
Dodge makes some monstrous motors
Thanks for a great video and details , that surely a nightmare for a GTR
I've always wanted one of these and there was a time they were reasonably affordable but I was not in a place to buy one. Now I am but they are no longer reasonably affordable. The fates are cruel sometimes
I hear ya... The prices have really gotten out of control!
Back fire literally shakes the camera 😳
I watched a gen5 viper ball up and tumble at the big end of a half mile event. Crossed the line at 205mph.
No cage. Then i watched the driver get out mad AF. I learned that day that the gen5 viper has essentially a roll cage from the factory and it is stout!
Those cars if built by nth moto or calvo have roll cages built into the interior.
Well, Dodge always said the 5th gen is a race car made for the street. Lol
Hey David, would you ever make a video of your favorite cars you've reviewed over the last decade???
I love my 5th gen but as much as I love forced induction I left mine all motor. Headers, full exhaust, cams. I track mine a lot so I loved the linear power as an all motor. I couldn't afford the full track pack viper when new. Well I had a certain budget I wanted to keep. But built it slowly. First started with suspension, better tires, heat mitigation all the reliability mods I could do. Than focused on the engine.
I've always thought a supercharged (not a pro charger) viper would be interesting.
Gosh, I love these cars.
And I didn’t realize they became less sketchy from the Gen 1. Good to know. 👍
Would love me a 90's GTS coupe without stripes. Rare sight now a days.
Really like the way the 5th gens look and performance potential. Just wish I could fit in one.
Bad ass man, sick whip!
I've always wanted a viper. I really really love the newest generations. They are soooo sick and not super popular like other exotic cars even tho vipers are one of the lowest "exotic" tier cars. Especially after the c7 zr1 Corvette back when they both just came out.
dont think vipers are considered EXOTIC they are more like sports car classification
And thank you again for many amazing vids including the gen 1 Viper with HiRevzMedia
Always loved the look of the gen 5s
I wish they offered the viper engine in direct connection.
7:28 David says it all, what an insane car!
Man I need to hear that viper redline more 😩but it just has so much sauce and gearing left
Great vi. Proof positive everyone should drive a viper at least once.
Really considered building a 5th gen viper. Ended up with a c6 corvette instead.
Which reminds me. Since you reviewed my gt500, might have to let ya review my corvette. Only a 2000 hp twin 76mm turbo setup. Might be down that way in Feb/March. Lmk
@@marcusbrady5011 I've got his number in IG messages. I'd just have to go thru messages and search for it.
Also you try another American legend the Panoz Esperanto GTR 1, Saleen S7 , ultimate Areo and the Mosler
Best reviewed car yet!!!
Having a Viper means that you have to be happy with living with the fact that you might have a code Brown moment in your pants
That flame at 6:05🤣🤣🤣
Casually breaks triple digit speed in third. Gotta love it
TT vipers with sequential are the current pinnacle of American performance
The Man in Blue is back!!
Freaking love this setup and gen 🔥
That tunnel pop ❤
Awesome 👌
Yeah, the earlier generation Vipers were VERY sketch. A guy I know Procharged one back in the early 2000’s. He ended up loosing control, jumping a curb and rolling through a fence destroying the car. Had no idea that over 50% of early Vipers ended their lives this same way.
Awesome car video
Please review the Daman 4.5L cayman and/or GT3!
Thank God for Viper content
I didn't even know Vipers came with magneride. That's so cool
Vipers will always hold the trophy for the best American best made cars.
Yeah the fifth gen is one of my favorites too!
So what rave are you going to next David 😂 I'm convinced you've been to atleast a few
I approve of the track playing during the b roll of the car at the beginning
Do u know the name of it
Thats really a badass ride
I love the 2nd gen viper also one of the most successful racecars ever built
Dodge Vipers are the modern day MK4 Supra!
When the MK4 Supra was new it didn't sell well
Just like the new Viper!
Now people see how insane they are for roll racing events!
My dream car. I've always wanted one and always will
You should get hands on a Gen V Viper with a 9L striker kit and twin turbo set up from calvo motorsports. I would like to see that video.
Man I love me a clean viper 🦅🇺🇲 especially one making upwards of 1400hp
I don't comment to much but had to say very cool video
It definitely revs higher than stok though which is cool
You should try calvio motorsports vipers the 1600 to 1800 package with a sequential gearbox
He needs to try one from Calvo with 3kwhp.
Wow dude!! what an awsome beast of a car!! i love it👌👌👌💯💯💯
"big boiiii fire" lol
I absolutely love vipers turboed or not. One car I'd sell my Terminator Cobra for in order to get one
Sold my terminator for one!
@@SneakerDrawings I would in a heartbeat
IMO this is the best car america has produced. This chassis and engine combo is an amazing platform.
The Viper is my dream car. But when i read the title i think... 4 more Cylinders, and more then 4 more liters of displacement.. Then 2 turbos to be a nightmare.
I saw a blacked out one in someone's driveway while on my way to summer school back in 2018. I WANT ONE SO BAD! Sucks that I can't drive stick and I lost the picture
Title should be “a hellcats worst nightmare” since people are starting to become more aware that gtrs aren’t all that unless modded
The only dodge I can get behind ❤️
The price on thing is well into supercar territory for a base twin turbo setup. Pretty damn impressive, but it ought to be.
Benn a fan of viper since first generation
Camera car is a 2018 or 2019 VW Gti SE or possibly a Golf R in tornado red
The greatest dodge ever made imo. I like all and the 3rd and 4th gens are bad ass but, the 5th is the best imo. They did so good on that last gen v10 lml lml
The seats aren't fixed in a fifth gen, the controls are weird and confusing though. The steering column doesn't telescope but the seats definitely move forward and back via power.
these things are so cool. im not a fan of american cars at all but ive always loved the vipers.
