My jaw dropped during this confessional. I have followed this story as a recent young adult whom had to turn to SNAP in my state for my family’s insurance, food and even my living situation. Things are rough in the state of Wisconsin to afford living, but this is where my grandma and dad are. Context added: my father was the biggest Favre fan. When I spoke to him about this, filled with the rage I had, it seemed like his world was crushed and I felt truly sorry that his fantasy of his football hero was shattered in minutes. Added notes: I am apologetic that this man has this disease, I wouldn’t wish this on even the worst person I have ever encountered in my lifetime. However, I would not be able to forgive his actions.
