hey mate - nice flying, especially if this is your first trap. just wanted to offer a correction - max gear extend speed in the tomcat is 280KIAS, and flap extend speed is 225KIAS. getting the drag out a little sooner will help you get stabilized on speed sooner, and is helpful once you start coming into the break faster/flying a tighter pattern. practicing Case Is has been my favorite thing to do in the tomcat - keep it up and you'll be shit hot in no time. you're already off to a great start :)
