Aelita tries to get Anthea's data back and after a failed attempt. Yumi arrives later than expected at home and is punished by her father, who is incredibly disappointed and afraid she might start acting with her old behavior again. Meanwhile, Jeremie decides to help Franz Hopper with the final touches of the Hermitage, Aelita's old home. During all of this, Ulrich's dad calls. He has a shocking revelation to give Ulrich that can affect the gang as a whole.

XANA launched a return to the past! He managed to get control of the program again and worse, he's so powerful somehow he managed to get monsters to Earth, corrupt the satellite and attack the school! Things aren't easy for the Lyoko Warriors. There's only one solution: split up.
But... the core is in danger, the school under attack and a mysterious tower on Exploratorio appeared seems to be connected to everything. How will our heroes manage to do everything... in this Race Against Time?

I think it’s so creative how you incorporated the evolution style into the storyline of your fifth season. Having those graphics be from an alternate digital world is fantastic !
I’m also impressed by the editing skills. I can’t do things like what your team is doing for this series and it’s amazing ! And I like the drawings you guys sometimes have made for certain scenes.

Okay, to be honest, episode 107 is the best you made so far, not in terms of editing only, but also for the story and keeping us on the edge like that. Also, ngl, everybody, except Odd, ruled the episode, Yumi and Ulrich managing to handle the monsters in Kadic AND saving the core without getting devirtualized, Aelita being the independent queen she's supposed to be by handling the tower alone and going to Lyoko in 2 minutes only, William saving the day with the return to the past and his genius, and Jeremy working on the program, this is honestly the best episode you made imo
Yo WTF ??? Miss Hertz knew for Hopper and Lyoko. Dude my hype has been increased now XD
In Chronicles its actually confirmed that Ms. Hertz was Hopper's lab assistant, and its actually mentioned in the episode _Wrong Exposure_ that she replaced him as Kadic's science teacher after he dissapeared.
Once again you managed to make me terrified for the character's wellbeing. After xanas fatal bus crash attack, I've been scared about more characters possibly dying.
You probably dont hear this enough, but i really appreciate you going out of your way and spending countless hours making these episodes for us! Who knew after all these years the fans are still doing things related to code lyoko. This show was my childhood. Im glad to see you doing a 5th season and a 6th on the way. Ive seen all your episodes and i love them a lot. Much better than lyoko evolution. Again, really appreciate the time and effort that went into this season. Your awesome! Excited for the 6th season.

Amazing what one can do when their back is against the wall. And this episode really showcases this. With the unfortunate exception of Odd, everyone manages to shine here. Jeremie and his programs, Aelita fighting solo on Lyoko and Exploritario, Yumi and Ulrich battling as Spectres and defending the core, and William deactivating the Carthage tower and using the Return To The Past to fix the damage (and especially what he does in the ending, further emphasizing his character development).
By the way, that statement I said in the beginning applies to you as well. Even with your back up against the wall, you managed to make a continuation that carries the best aspects of both Evolution and the novels. Not many could do the same in your position.

I stuck with you as much as I could when you started continuing Code Lyoko and man do...you...deliver. This hour was amazing. The drama, the timing. Not a bad job in mixing the animations too. This was the first time that they had to use the Teleportation to protect Kadic itself. What's more you referenced the book series with Ms. hertz knowing. (Which I had the fortune of downloading.) Can't wait to see how you're going to top this.

At least Ulrich's dad met the Lyoko Warriors and Franz Hopper. Franz, Jeremy, Aelita, Odd, Yumi and William were found out how awful Ulrich's dad is.

It might be that I just haven't watched the regular cartoon for some time, but I swear XANA is getting more violent, more cruel, more manipulative, more… evil. It feels like he no longer just does whatever he needs to to accomplish his objectives, like he used to in the original show. He feels like he wants revenge, like he takes pleasure in torturing our heroes - both physically _and_ psychologically.

Season 1 had some of the most brutal and creative XANA attacks, truly focusing on mayhem and destruction; it made the show more suspenseful, and it felt like the Lyoko Warriors were truly saving Kadic Academy if not their city nearly every episode. Eventually, XANA's attacks became a focused effort against the Lyoko Warriors; it became a war between the two, and XANA needed to prioritize his own survival. So, the attacks became a little more targeted, a little more intentional, and a little less chaotic. (It might've also been an intentional choice to make the show a little less suspenseful and easier to write episodes.)
Episode 107 here reminds me of those earlier episodes, plus all the complexities that later seasons introduce. XANA is not only targeting the Lyoko Warriors, but he's making sure to traumatize them too. And he's adding on all the chaos and mayhem of attacking innocent civilians and the core of Lyoko to make the Lyoko Warriors divide their forces and question their priorities. This is truly Code Lyoko at it's finest!
@@Klffsj I don't particularly remember season 1's attacks being focused against Kadic/the city (you may be right, I just haven't really noticed it myself). However, I definitely remember season 1's attacks being WAY SPOOKIER than the other seasons' (though season 2 has a few good ones as well). To this very day, as a young adult, I'm still hesitant to rewatch season 1 because I remember the episodes (or at least some of them) scaring the crap out of me as kid lmaooo
And agree about the analysis of this last episode, but that was kind of the point of the original comment anyway

Just finished. I was rather conflicted at the start of the season at how Franz Hopper would be handled, and with repeating clips, but the intensity of this season is even higher than the original show. I have to wonder why there hasn't been another video in 2-3 years. Is this continuing? Or cancelled?
Actually, thinking about it, I should probably leave something closer to a full review. These two episodes showcased what you did really well with this fanmade series. Taking the main cast, and their difficulties, and taking them as far as you can. After watching Evolution, XANA is its own polar opposite here. Unfortunately, like Evolution, this season didn't really get to do much with the supporting cast, with even Jim only being around a little bit. One of the big things I remember different about the original is it has a certain extent to which it focuses on issues in the school. Like ghost hunting, or really annoying TV people coming to visit. I would say it's overall a great fanmade season, but doesn't really pick up until a few episodes in. I have no idea how you would top the action in this two-parter, but I'm definitely looking forward to your continuation.
@@mr.m1785 Hi! So, the remakes of the first two episodes is the canon version of it. Is what I wanted to do back in 2017 but couldn't because I didn't know how to animate. With the upcoming EP98's remake, I'll jump back to EP108. After that, my season 5 will be over and we will begin season 6. That's the season where Jim, Sissi, Milly and Tamiya will have a bigger role!

Mano.............mano mano xD. eu só digo uma coisa: íncrivel. Tu (ou vcs) n só te das ao trabalho de tentar encaixar cenas de outros episódios como também crias as tuas próprias cenas. Aquilo dos guerreiros virem para a Kadic por lyoko foi algo que eu já tinha pensado mas quem diria que seria mesmo possível e com um explicação plausível. E dps a prof. Hertz reconheceu os monstros e lyoko??? what?? bem seguem mais mistérios. E a tensão passada no ep. 107 foi incrível realmente digno de um episodio original e até melhor do k bastantes. Agora só falta a sissi virar uma guerreira e o kolossus aparecer na escola e os guerreiros terem de defender, e também o jeremy em Lyoko.xD Brincadeiras à parte, pra mim esta temporada já pertence ao original. Eu sei que ja escrevi muito mas realmente queria agradecer por este trabalho e por não deixarem Code Lyoko morrer. Boa sorte pras continuações (eu espero que continue) e quem sabe se algum dia algum milionário não torna esta temporada original?? Só precisavamos de uns dobradores porque a voz do odd é um bocado irritante e a da yumi parece muito de homem (não sei se todas as vozes são a mesma pessoa mas as outras até que encaixam bem), mas ainda assim da para assistir tranquilamente.

@@gaalxystar1873 My understanding was that the post-credit scene took place during the battle and that she doesn't remember anything after the return-to-the-past (although I haven't watched the following episodes yet-no spoilers please!). If she was able to remember what happened before a return trip, I would think that she'd have figured out that someone was using the supercomputer a long time ago.
