the current restaurant is pretty badly run by the epicurean group - a v lousy carbonara i had, worse than CCT ice tea but almost 3 times the price. there were plenty of seats outdoor but i was guided to 1 right next to a speaker - playing horrible elevator music. the gov should took back the place & tender it to a more deserving operator.

據說兩年前山頂餐廳同政府續租時，基於疫症關係，以13萬續租餐廳經營，非常便宜！

細個住土瓜灣公屋，但有一日失驚無神老豆話帶我兩兄弟去山頂餐廳食嘢，食咗乜都唔記得，但呢日就一世都記住。

小時候去過一次
記得海南雞飯
真係細個出街食乜都好食，其實當年全都是味精😅。
記得有一次細舅父心血來潮，話去山頂行。臨上山頂前記得去金鐘餐廳食野，其實唔記食過咩，不過阿媽後來話是pizza。我只記得舅父叫咗杯咖啡而落是咖啡糖包。人生第1次知原來有咖啡專用糖包。
不過有點失望唔係行上最頂，而是行盧吉道細個唔多識欣賞這條路有點失望。😅
細個既回憶係無可取代
這個歴史我早知, 可能妳事忙吧？ 其實希望妳能出多啲片, 因妳講解清楚聲音又靚

从另一documentary 知道,早期香港开埠约1920年左右, 所有轎夫都冇着鞋因生活條件所困呢！可幸当时街道少行人往来和路面清洁多！
從前生活都好苦，很多照片所見的轎夫都是沒鞋穿的 😢
也不一定跟生活困苦有關，我細個在廣州生活，有鞋都唔著，習慣了赤腳，大暑天過馬路，柏油晒到溶軟，真正熱到跳舞。行過玻璃廠，一步一驚心。@@thetasteofhongkong
就算以現在的工藝材料，鞋都非常唔耐磨，對於當時的人力車伕而言，根本不可能經常補鞋買鞋，這不是當時有幾乾淨路有幾滑，加上一百年前無乜汽車，香港也不多馬，又唔似現在咁多街頭飲食，所以你話條街乾淨只係客觀上比現在易打理，但上環華人平民多一帶恐怕污水什麼沙泥都係一樣污糟…
