yeah I went to high school with Logan's younger brother and Logan worked at the dairy queen nearby for a long time. Logan is such a chill dude to talk to and gets along with everyone.
My band Condado opened for them a while back in Chapel Hill, NC. These guys RIP and they’re also great/hilarious people! “Do You Feel Nothing?” is my favorite track

Just based on his most recent board pics, there's been some changes. 1 - Boss TU-2 2 - Some sort of mystery pedal which may be hand built (painted terribly). Maybe a muff circuit with a separate boost as it has a second footswitch? 3 - Regular Boss CE-2 4 - Boss RV-5 5 - Keeley Loomer 6 - Boss DD-7 7 - Xotic BB Preamp
Just discovered the band at the start of this week, their influences definitely make them stand out from other shoegaze/emo bands. both this performance and their most recent LP are incredible, definitely keeping tabs on them from now on
I f*cking adore this band and all their music!! 'Dixieland' is a no doubt a gem but 'New Hell' is a next level "chills down the spine" masterpiece from start to finish. All Hail Greet Death!!
tha bois!!! new hell was my favorite album of last year. i like loud shoegazy music but had gotten kinda tiered of it years ago. these guys have the tones, melodies, songwriting and dual contrasting vocals that really make them stand out. i also get these lovely sunny day real estate vibes ++++
I first heard the intro and thought that this would be just yet another noisy, angry rock band. But then they started playing and I really loved id - melodious arrangements, haunting lyrics and an excellent performance - wow, this was so good! *listens to again from the beginning*
watched Greet Death open for Say Anything at The Ryman in Nashville last night and they completely blew me away. perhaps the most perfect opener I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. nicest folks you've ever met too, much love.
Saw them open for Say Anything last night and they opened with You're Gonna Hate What You've Done and the "breakdown" was unreal. Sent goosebumps all over me. Bonus points for having two Jazzmasters too.
dudeee they’re playing it on this tour? im debating on going or not in salt lake city bc i dont even know the other 2 artists but i would literally pay just to see them perform that song
The host even mentioned it being 2020 AND Greet Death has been posting about this on their Instagram. So, either Audiotree really keeps recordings to release way later or it was a typo. It seems risky, a band might not be together in 1 year. Better to release it earlier, right?🐉
@@Callibretto reaper scythe merch, interview where they've directly mentioned changing their sound from "Pines" to current band and citing Cloakroom as inspiration, seeing Cloakroom cover Songs: Ohia's Farwell Transmission and then doing the SAME COVER LOL, bassist bought a whole new rig modeled directly after Cloakroom bassist's rig, down to the same cab, and then just listen to their fucking music. It's Cloakroom. Also "You're Gonna Hate What You've Become" is the exact same as "Sickle Moon Blues". He even cops Doyle's weird way of singing.
I hate my friends because they don't hate themselves is still one of my favourite lyrics of all time.
Same brother, i hear that song everyday
new hell spoke to me as a record like no record has done in a long time it's infectious in every aspect love this band wish them all the best
same here. I'm 32 and this record brought old feelings that i never knew could come back. Kinda depressing but beautiful
I feel this. This record's been getting me through a real tough period. It hits me hard every time I listen back.
know what you mean, the guitar tones on the album are beautiful
listened to it the first time just now, and i don’t quite know what exactly it is about it but it really resonated with me
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?

setlist:
00:50 - entertainment
04:22 - strange days
13:41 - do you feel nothing?
20:41 - you're gonna hate what you've done
this last one... ...bro.
you’re gonna hate what you’ve done really hits hard
these guys are modern midwestern gems.
I love the mild awkwardness and the humour in the interview. They seem like nice people, and their music is great!
yeah I went to high school with Logan's younger brother and Logan worked at the dairy queen nearby for a long time. Logan is such a chill dude to talk to and gets along with everyone.
Strange Days is one of the most perfect songs ever written.
HOST: "Yeah, but you can't, you know, have a drink with your friends at Target...or can you..."
LOGAN: "YOU FUCKIN COULD"
Fucking perfect! ☯️

Noice! I'm in Greenville, SC and was wondering does your band have a bandcamp?

then you should definitely check out cloakroom.
this band is a fucking gem. I HAVE FOUND GOLD
-Proceeds to play a masterpiece
“Sounds awesome..”
I had a good laugh at that as well
The restraint the drummer shows is admirable
fr its like hes edging us
Yeah you can feel that he’s a beast on drums and could go off.
New Hell was my AOTY 2019! Hope to see these guys live in Germany when this whole virus mess is over.
This band is so underrated.

This is my favourite band that I've found recently!
Wheres the bud light?
The uniqueness for a younger band they remind me of is horse jumper of love if that makes any sense to anyone lol
Anyone have a clue what pedals they're using to get these sweet sweet guitar tones?????
It was an honor to open for these guys.
I kept searching for this session imagining it already happened, finally it's here! These guys sound so good
Saw them open for Say Anything. They had such a great sound. Had to hear more.
Haha i feel like "greet death" desribes the current status pretty well
I see the bassist sporting a pair of handerpants. Main mommy Christina P would be proud you're following proto
zachary wilson amazing content
he's featherin it, brother
Guitarist sings and talks just like Doyle from Cloakroom lol
this makes me sad and I like it
Thank you Discover Weekly for bringing me here.
Greet Death is awesome! :)
Been on repeat ever since this came out🖤🐉
damn i just got into these guys a month ago and now look at them. love entertainment, these guys are great
entertainment
They're so fucking good I love them
Heard this and immediately purchased New Hell and Dixieland.
Woah this reminds me of The Decemberists but shoegaze
Why does the "recorded on" date always differ from what the host says??
it's like Have a Nice Life and King Woman had a baby.
My mom also loves Bob Seger, and I am also from Michigan.
Why did this take 13 months to get on UA-cam?
Bought new hell on vinyl and cassette. I also have their your lull lp and I have to say these guys are the light in my darkness

Best thing since Catherine Wheel disbanded.
And Abandoned Pools?
This was great! Glad I found it
finally, yes
This is what I’d call doomgaze
All hail Greet Death
What jazz master is that
That's what I need to know!!
I think it’s the Jim Root (Slipknot) signature jazzmaster
@@Anakin1988 it is

Paul Dano can really play!!
Get to see them for free here in Oklahoma in April at the Norman Music Festival.
Yo, I just really needed this tonight.
Fuckkk it’s been 3 years since this??? It still feels like New Hell just came out.
pretty cool!
"Like a beer commercial band?" Lol I don't think he knows who the silver bullet band is
Unreal
me: eating dairy queen while watching this and discovering the album name wouldn’t exist without it
guys I love you do you really not fucking sleep on beds? A band needs it's rest, even young men.
New Hell. Most Prophetic Album of 2019. 🔥🖤
I have never related to a band so much in my life. When I take my life it will be to punishment existence.
favorite band right now. they smashed this, and the recording was well done too. great stuff
This is so got damn good
I need to know what ride cymbal he’s using.
🤘💥 awesome!
Dance like spectres by the highway...

Just discovered them today, wish my band sound like THIS
WE LOVE YOU GREET DEATH ! ! ORIGINAL SOLID SOUND ! ! KEEP IT COMING ! !
bestttt
The bassists voice sounds like the singer from Houndmouth.
Saw them open for Say Anything last night and they opened with You're Gonna Hate What You've Done and the "breakdown" was unreal. Sent goosebumps all over me. Bonus points for having two Jazzmasters too.
The 3 guitars wall of sound was incredible. Saw them open for say anything in Boston too! Defo a fan after that
in Cleveland? if so, I was there too! Great show
saw them in stl last night and that first track made me shiver
dudeee they’re playing it on this tour? im debating on going or not in salt lake city bc i dont even know the other 2 artists but i would literally pay just to see them perform that song
Jesus christ this fucking rules
fuckin a that opening
Love this band so much
Love, love, love, love! Best band I listened to this year so far.
anyone know the intro? i love it
AngryBlakGuy319 i think it may be the beginning of an unreleased track, it sounds tight as fuck
It’s a new song, the only one of this song is a live show they did after.
The riff is very similar to “Again” off Dixieland
Explosions In The Sky - Greet Death is almost 1:1, maybe it's a reference? I'd also like to know
@@kalmaaripoiss I think you're right, just their own rendition of it
fucking perfect
real jabronis
Woah
LOVE this damn band!!
back again 😌
This was recorded right before all the sh*t hit fan
What happened?
Wonderful wonderful wonderful
(The description says the preformance was in 2019 though...)
Yeah eh, wondering if that might be a typo or if this is actually from over an entire year ago.
It was recorded Jan 30 of 2019 - they publish the sessions on youtube a few weeks after they’re performed live
@@jeffroalson1915 pretty sure this was taped this year 2020.
@Jeff Roalson yeah no shit, except January 2019 was over a year ago now, January 2020 would be a few weeks ago.

good boys
Yo these guys are great
10/10
Love these dudes
The best band.
Drummer looks like a young Bill Burr.
🤘🏻
좋다..
🤘
Really good music but the interview was really cringe at some moments Jaja
The band totally made it not though. The troll answers are gold hahahaha
the drummer really makes these guys tbh. dude has mad musical sense
That's insulting to the two others. Especially when I've seen that they play gigs without him.
He plays kind of stiff though.
i wouldn't know where else to ask,
but could you try and convince glass beach (the band glass beach) to play a session?
Id then could happily die
i can't decide if i like this shoe gaze band or not... eh? maybe?
Unfortunately, i just saw this band open and they were the most depressing band ever. I'm disappointed my money went to support this band.
Oh sick, I love these guys and how they totally, unabashedly ripped off Cloakroom and are pretending like that's not the case.
lol what????

@@blaket3464 fine, but they're a better band than Cloakroom lol
Way better than cloakroom 😂
I wish I can love this band more but I just can't stand the vocals. Jfc. Keep it low and smooth

Lol what a joke
Imagine not knowing how influences work.
These guys came first though...
GTFO of here with that sh!t, This band has 100000000x more feels/moody/vibe/cool factor than that post-hardcore, Failure wanna be garbage.
