I read Dr Davis book and followed his protocol by added his suggested probiotics back to my body.
      I definitely feel better!
I am on a keto diet and add 35 grams of net carbs (which include 40 grams of different types of fiber) to maintain the probiotics.

@ZmeH906 I'm a chiropractor as well and it's always fascinating to me, the bashing we take for expressing the truth about nutrition and health, as if having a medical degree is the only avenue capable of speaking on matters of health. The irony is that most MDs know nothing at all about it and most choose not to. They wouldn't want to upset big pharma, now would they!

He recommended 3 natural remedies & I was able to buy them that afternoon at my local supplement shop... in 36 hours, it was gone!
Natural remedies work without side effects, even on dangerous "bugs" like this that can be life-threatening.
Same thing with UTIs; not an infection you want to allow to go rampant... a leading cause of death amongst women over 65: sepsis from urinary tract infections.
Took a 5 ingredient protocol... it was eradicated in 24 hours. No recurrence.

My PCP believed (turns out wrongly) that I had a mitral valve prolapse. At the same time, I was scheduled for dental work, removing wisdom teeth, so he prescribed the Rx as a preventative measure, which was common 20+ years ago, to protect my heart. The dentist confirmed that I was medicated prior to the procedures. The script was written to take one a day, Amoxicillan 500 mg, with a 30 day supply which the PCP kept refilling. So I did as I was instructed, not knowing that this was not right. In fact, it was only supposed to be taken on the day of a procedure! But I kept taking it daily for 6 months as instructed until one day I was waiting for it to be filled and overheard the pharmacist say, "she must have a terrible infection to be on this for so long". I stopped taking it at that point. Remember that one could not Google everything 20+ years ago or consult Dr Berg!! Just trusted our doctors.
They finally discontinued the practice for people with MVP, which again, I don't even have, as noted in this info copied from website - info is from 2008:
"Antibiotic prophylaxis is no longer indicated in patients with mitral valve prolapse for prevention of infective endocarditis. The risk of antibiotic-associated adverse effects exceeds the benefit (if any) from prophylactic antibiotic therapy. Limited use of prophylaxis will likely reduce the unwanted selection of antibiotic-resistant strains and their unintended consequences such as Clostridium difficile-associated colitis."
Long story, but that's what happened. 😥

    Hello,
The interesting thing is that I make this yogurt with L. reuteri after 8 to 16 hours of fermentation. If I extend it to 36 hours, I end up with cheese curds! :)
Perhaps this happens because I live in Europe, in the land of Bulgarian yogurt, where dairy cultures develop quickly and successfully.
I use real, natural buffalo milk from pasture-raised animals, and I get amazing yogurt in a much shorter time.
What do I want to say? That we should not give up on making something if it doesn’t work under different conditions or in other places.
This yogurt is wonderful, and I believe it truly benefits not only the digestive system but also emotional well-being.
Thanks to Dr. Berg for his efforts and dedication to spreading awareness about all of this.

The secret is warming the milk to 180 degrees, letting it cool to 110 then doing the paste, mix, cook. I also went 100 on my ultimate maker because I test ran it, the temp at 100 is actually 99.5 on mine. I’m sure this will differ for location, time of year, misc. it was below 20 outside and on the kitchen counter. I watched a girl make hers in a dehydrator machine with shelves out, another use an insta pot, others use the sunlight! There’s more to learn on this recipe! When I put in 2, it over fermented, making that separation and curd like stuff.
      So 1 tbs is enough!!
I also found that mixing a little bit of the leftover yogurt with the inulin first, before adding the half and half, helps and it does not clump up when mixing. Without doing that, the inulin can clump up when you add the half and half.

The pills do not have a medicinal amount of L-Reuteri. They will not give you the therapeutic benefits thats the yogurt will (as it has billions more good bacteria).

He has a video he talks with Dr Davis about the L.Reuteri it's benefits and how to make the yogurt. I would say the Benefits to this probiotic outweighs the maltodextrin that is in it or if you make the yogurt the bacteria might eat that starch.

i can answer all your questions:
      - i use goat milk to make mine and it works just fine. you want full fat if possible.
      - BioGaia Ostforis is what you want, and any sugars (maltodextrin) get consumed by the microbes as the yogurt is made so really not to worry about that one.
      - you could take the pills but you'd have to probably take the entire bottle at once to equal the microbe count of the yogurt so it would not make sense.

This is the absolute best episode so far. As a professional myself I can confirm ALL of it. And,....I even have made yoghurt now for over a month and the results are amazing. This is exactly what I have been looking for since my first antibiotics cure for 61 years ago and which had saved and at the same time ruined my body totally. Having had to deal with various illnesses such as Colitis Ulcerosa, autoimmune illnesses and Rosacea, and which made me change study direction from economics to medicine back in 2000, I finally now can see the connection and.....feel that my body finally gets better and better for every day with my new yoghurt. Thanks

That's the purpose of consuming yoghurt if you've taken antibiotics. Some eat sauerkraut and other fermented foods to help correct the damage done by antibiotics..

There is the world of difference between live-yogurt and commercial (often sweetened) yogurt that has been heat treated thus ensuring the bacteria is dead.

As far as the fermented vegetables, regular pickles and most sauerkraut aren't fermented, they're pickled. So you have to make sure you get the naturally fermented kind.

My goodness, I didn’t realize how important that video is for me until about 21:20 where he mentioned that this particular bacteria also lives in the small intestine. I don’t have a colon anymore. I lost this due to colitis 😔 I’m gonna do this yogurt for sure and hopefully get rid of my autoimmune symptoms forever.

I drink plenty of home fermented kefir every day, some made from goats milk and some from cow, and I eat lots of yoghurt too. Green tea and garlic I like too and include these a lot. I avoid antibiotics and junk food. I'm never sick, I don't even get colds. So I think I'm doing things right.
