I did just buy a Shotgun, brought it home Friday...Stencil White. I've had all kinds of bikes (still have a g310gs) and this one checks a lot of boxes for me. I'm down with your five reasons for sure. Well done!
Thanks dude! Gs is a very cool bike as well. 🤓Oooooh I do love that stencil white!!!! Do you agree that when you turn the throttle the bike just feels like it stands right up and “rides its self”? I’ve never felt anything quite like it.
@@FASTLANEMOTO I definitely get what you're saying, and agree. I really wanted an Iron 883 (still one of the best looking bikes ever in my opinion), but the ride difference is huge. When I did the demo ride I totally sensed what you described. BTW, just subscribed. Be well!
Just got to see one this weekend. I currently have a 2020 C5 and my only complaint is the iffy gearbox and "non-highway" limitations. I live in rural NY and this suits me just fine, but I would never push it past 55 for more than 10 minutes. So the shotgun looked good but I am an old guy and the extra heft of this put me off. Twenty years ago I would have snapped this up - wonderful bike. RE has stepped up their game without stepping up their prices.
@@FASTLANEMOTO Yeah, it is good riding area. Most roads are 35, 45 and a few 55. Very little traffic as well - my biggest worry are the deer. Never been to the northwest but I expect it is similar but with a bit more rain. Good luck to you!
I own a 2020 RE Bullet 500 Trials Works Replica. (Damn that’s a mouthful). I love it for its simplicity and its quirks. I’m no mechanic, but besides changing the oil, tightening up loose bolts and adjusting the chain, there really is a whole lot to do. Yeah, the ride can be jarring at times, it vibrates some, but damn I love that bike. That being said, the Shotgun 650 to me would be a step up. However, I don’t like any of the colors they came out with, except for that limited edition one that was blue and black. And I really like the looks of the old style springs under my seat of my Bullet. I did swing a leg over a Shotgun 650. What is up with the tiny foot pegs and brake lever? Now if RE makes a Bullet 650 like the new Bullet 350 in the all black and copper, well I’d have to really try hard not to buy one.
Yeah I’m probably the most partial to the dark grey one myself but I do love that limited one they revealed at moto verse… 25 lucky dogs :) I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Bullet 650…. That would be sweet !
@@FASTLANEMOTO I was at Daytona Bike Week. I was working but I should’ve taken my riding gear. I coulda tried out a Shotgun. But RE put on some great flat track racing.
Trying to decide between the super Shotgun vs. the Super Meteor. Tell me if this is right … Long rides, Super Meteor is likely the better bike, Looks- how many complements one gets- wise, Shotgun is likely superior Riding the twisties - Shotgun More interstate miles- Super Meteor Wanna ride West Texas freeways, with speed limit of 85 mph? Neither can go over 75 mph safely, for more than the occasional overtaking. Neither is excellent for 2 up riding. In about a year, used Shotguns should be available for 30% off brand new.
I think you’re pretty spot on with almost all your thoughts…. The only one I would contradict is You can easily in my opinion go over 75 for as long as you want.I had this bike well over a number of times on my almost 5 hours up to Seattle and back home…..

@THE_SNAPP yeah man also love the old school sportster line but these bikes just ride better :)
