I just bought a 2015 ninja 300 for my 1st street bike based on this and other videos and, I'm absolutely in love with it is great bike. Looks really cool and is really forgiving handles nice and has smooth acceleration haven't really opened it up I've only been on it twice but I couldn't be happier with it.
thebigz198506 hahaha...... never gonna sell it ....i keep up if not leave 600s behind on hwy 74 going up to Idyllwild .....I am looking into getting a ZX-6r just to show off ! lmao
I just bought a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS and it's awesome a few days ago. Yes it's my first bike and it's my first time riding. Did lots of research and comparisons with other bikes before making my choice. I'm very happy I got it.
Listen get a 250 if your just learning seriously, it is the best bike to learn on. sure it's not as quick or fast as a 600 but believe me when i say the 250 is very forgiving it will let you know when you make a mistake and forgive you for it! the 600 will not. oh and get a Ninja not a Honda the Honda is nice 2 but the Ninja just looks and feels better and it's easier to ride!
I bought my ninja 300 new because all the used 250's were too expensive. I did fall over on it once but it didn't do any damage. Now I have sliders on it which might help in a low speed or stop fall over... I live right down the street from the iron pony superstore and I use their parking lot to practice on.
Ninja 300 is a great bike. The 08+ ninja 250r can be a hard bike to come by private seller. When I was looking for a beginner bike every time I called an ad for the ninja 250r it was sold, so I had to settle for a cbr250r.
Good Video. I started on a Katana 600 that had been laid down for around 1400. Since it had been laid down, I didn't care if I made a mistake and laid it down. I took the MSF course at Harley Davidson and we trained on a Buell Blast 500. Long story short, I was comfortable with the ride and just sold my Katana for 2k and bought a 2000 ZX9r that was basically brand new for 4k! You just have to find the deal and be patient when buying.
Cycle cruza i just bought my ninja 250r 2010 carb, seriously it awesome bike to me to start thank you cycle cruza keep it up dude always support your channel👍👍
I'm old, so I get plenty of adrenalin from my 650r. If I want to laid, I buy flowers for the wife. LOL. My next bike will be the ninja 1000. All good pints my friend, but I jeu twang everyone to remember that you can't be too careful. Things can go wrong on a bike so fast it isn't even funny.
Enjoyed the video. Even more enjoyable was the area you were riding in. Nice scenery. Plenty of space and some cool looking houses. Not too many cagers. Came across some impatient a**holes cagers on Sydney roads tonight. Might relocate over there. ☺
Yea true when I was first going to get a street bike I was looking at a 250 or whatever I could afford but my friend was moving away and was in need for money so I bought the bike from him for $900 so I couldn't pass it up bc I know I can make money off it when I'm ready to get something newer my dream bike pretty much
I like the ninjas but where I am there aren't any for sale around here. Right now there is some awesome deals on new cbr 250 rs though so I might get that as my first bike. Just over 3k for a brand new bike.
CycleCruza cool, I don't intend to sell for a while anyway since I'm one of those people that need a lot of practice to understand something. Will prob keep it a good year before I'll feel comfortable enough with more power. I'm also 6" 3 do you think that'll suit me good?
I ended up with a cbr500r. One I found it for a good deal, 2. Hopefully its got enough in it for me to enjoy it for a longer time than the 250, but still be tame enough to learn everything on. I got just over 600 miles on it right now
CycleCruza 6'4'' is tall for a 600, on a 250 it doesn't come up to their groin of hardly past their upper knee. not to mention weight, someone 6'4'' is probably over 220 lbs, that guy on a 280 bike making 30 hp, get a calculator but his 0-6 isn't looking good or even fun or scary at 9 seconds. 250 does 0-60 in 8.5 seconds. My civic is faster than that. My prelude does 0-60 in 3.5, CBR 600 does it in 3.1. Difference is enclosed vehicle. Not going to be riding unsafe or fast like I drive. But If I (someone who goes 170+ on the track) gets on a bike that takes almost 9 seconds (or the entire on ramp) to go 60, I will be bored after one freeway entry. Might be good for learning how to city ride. But in my place the city roads are so bad, you just get right on the highway out of town across the boarder onto open highway. A 250cc/300cc bike will not have a great time going 70-80 when it tops out at 90. Even a 500 tops out at about 110. at least the 600 tops out at 124, same as my civic. So going 60-70 my 600 will be at a cool 5-7k rpms in 5th as compared to the 250/300 in 6th at 8-9k rpm with redline at 13
I love your videos keep em coming. I hope someday when I get older I can get a nice bike like that. I've always dreamed about having one since I was in elementary till now.
Thanks! Same here, I've been dreaming of motorcycles since elementary school as well. Even had a mini dirt bike called a Puch. Had a Tomas Silver Bullet moped in middle school. I couldn't afford a motorcycle as an older teenager and early 20's. I missed out on many years of riding after that b/c I had a gf I spent all of money on. lol Stick with your dream and get that motorcycle when you get a little older. Best of luck!
First off your a great instructor I have a 2008 ninja 250rr it's a fantastic bike duz everything I want it to its fun .I will never sell it .now teaching my girlfriend to ride it she loves it .I told her be a rider not a backpack don't get me wrong I just got my new r6 so now we can ride together I still love my 250rr
The 2010 Ninja 250 is the bike I bought my wife and it was the best bike for her to start with...I agree it is a great beginner bike. She has been riding it for about 6 months and says she can see riding it about another year before she moves up to something else.
I'm a beginner, and was about to jump the gun with a ninja 250 or 300. But after getting and old Suzuki sv650, I have to say its a superior beginner bike. Enough power to keep you busy but out of trouble for over a year, good handling, super cheap and great all around bike.
i bought my 300 for 5.5 G's :( I do agree with you though it is a great bike to learn on and it is so easy to throw around when your out there on the streets :D. But I am ready to purchase a CBR600RR near by my house so....ill have to show it to you when I get it CYCLE!
I actually started on a CBR 500R, recommended by this channel. Haven't regretted the purchase a day since. Been riding since Feb. 2014, I have gotten about 3800 miles on it so far. Been down once, because I got too confident entering a driveway >.< (lesson learned). Would highly recommend it to anyone looking into getting their first sportbike. Not too much power, but enough to hold your own on the roads. Im now considering trading for a Ninja 650 since Ive had the experience with this one.
Good video. I agree, find a small used bike and learn on it. It's all just steps until you get your dream bike. For me, I always wanted a Fireblade. And now I have one. And I can honestly say, it is everything I thought it would be. It's been awesome. A literbike is not good to learn on, because it will make you pay for the smallest mistakes. You can't make a mistake on it. It will bite you hard. If you have the skills to properly control it, it's the best! This is why we start small, and work our way up. It's the smart path to success. We all want our dream bike, but you can't start out on it. You gotta work your way up to it.
i want to start riding and I am going to be 17 years old because its a lot more convenient and parking is easier to find. Is this a good idea or not because I know insurance would be pretty expensive and all that
I've had years of experience since 2005 of riding a 125cc bike. So I'm wondering if I could get a 600cc bike for my level of riding now. But I just moved here in Canada from Philippines and it's been almost a year that I haven't had a ride with any bikes here. I need your suggestion bro :)
This is for anybody that would like to answer. I just bought a Ninja 300 SE, out the door price $5300, No ABS. Was this a good deal or did I get screwed? I live in Michigan. I think I got a pretty good deal but not sure.
hey CycleCruza I live in the Caribbean and there isnt much 250s around for new riders to choose from as a beginner. Only small bikes avaliable are new 125s and 150 which cost almost the same as a used 600. i have learned to ride on a 2002 CBRF4I and have practiced on that for about 4 months now. so i was wondering based on my situation and lack of 250 but plenty 600s should i get an 06 F4I as my first bike
Err, I have a question. What about starting on a 150 cc? I'm only 14 but I plan to buy a motorcycle when Im of legal age. It's just that I might spend too much money if I buy a 250 cc ninja here in the philippines, then a 600 cc cbr 600, which still needs to be imported. So I'm considering the CBR 150 because it's cheaper by a hundred thousand pesos. Any thoughts?
You are right the look on the NINJA 250 is way better then the CBR 250rr, But do you know if it comes in a differnt color the lime green or is that there thing?
I am looking to to get that ninja 250 but dont have my motorcycle endorsment yet would it matter alot if i got pulled over???and could i put insurance on without my endorsment??
How about a Megelli 250R? It is a good choice for a starter bike too. It’s cheap and the maintence cost must be lower than a Japanese bike I’m sure. I’m riding my Megelli for two years now, it’s reliable and no problem at all :)
Hey man! I want your opinion about this. I want to buy new 2014 Yamaha YZF-125R. I was driving scooter a little bit but nothing more. I will get my licence in about half of year. Should I buy Yamaha R125 for my first ever motorcycle?
I'm curious if you have any insight on the cruiser type. I understand that a 600 or 1000cc Sport bike IS a racing bike for all intents and purposes, but I (for example) own a 1600cc Cruiser, but I know for a fact that if I tried to drag race a CBR600RR I would be absolutely destroyed. They're just geared differently. Im thinking a 650 or maybe even a 900 would be good.
I'd have to agree 100%. Bought my 08 250r as my starter bike to learn on for $2000. Was a gorgeous bike with full yoshi. Once I was comfortable to move up, sold it for $3300 within 24 hours of posting it on Craigslist and then bought my 07 zx6r and when I got on that beast, I was glad I didn't start on a 600cc bike...I would've surely crashed. The 250r was forgiving. The zx6r is a murderer by nature!
Thanks for sharing your insight. Dang you made a nice $1300 bucks, that's awesome. When I was trying to buy the 08 ninja 250r every craigslist ad I called the bike was sold. I never did find a ninja 250r near me and had to settle on buying the cbr250r, which I wasn't able to sell and had to trade it in at the dealer. I agree with you on the 600 supersport being too much for a new riders, I'm still getting used to the power on my 08 cbr600rr after 10k+ miles. Honestly, I don't see how people desire more power than the 08 cbr600rr, I sure don't but I may get a cbr1000rr for my channel, to share the experience.
CycleCruza Yup. 1300 bucks, but that was me being lucky I guess. The bike had full yoshi, a $300 corbin seat...and so many other extras, not to mention it had never been dropped and looked brand new. The guy I bought it from wanted to sell ASAP because his gf told him it was either gonna be her or the bike lol. And so I took good care of it, then sold it within a couple of months and then added another $400 and bought my gorgeous zx6r for which I'm already getting offers to sell in the $5500-$6000 range, but I love it so much I'm not selling. And personally, I'll never get anything more powerful...0-60 in 3 secs is more than enough for me :D
Nader Ali Sounds like you are a savvy buyer. You got some great deals. Yeah I'm with you on not needing a faster bike than the 600. It's hard for me to stay legal on my bike. lol However, if something happend to my bike I would probably get a fireblade or s1000rr to share the experience on my channel not b/c I desire more power. Also, I'm not really feeling the new 600's these days, especially the 2013/2014 cbr600rr. I hear the 2013 triumph daytona 675r is a really nice bike but parts are harder to come by for the daytona 675r and dealer support is weak, only 1 dealer near me that I'm not fond of. The new zx6r 636 is nice but lacks a built-in electronic steering damper that I've become spoiled with on my 600rr, also lacks a fuel gauge.
Just remember folks, this is just his opinion. You can go out with a 250cc or a 600cc, with the 600cc you wont have the "awh man wish I had more power" 4 months later.
Thank you for all the great videos and the information is great I would like to know is it possible to start on big bike from day one in the us the reason I ask is because in the uk we start training on 125 cc and as the training progress you then go up to a 500cc while training and then do your test on a 500 cc for your full license .
Best starter bike is a liter bike with twin turbos lol. That was some tips man people need to start out on something that's easier to ride and will help build their confidence in skill.
lol My brother started on a 93 cbr900rr back in the early 90's, but he was a crazy mofo and had a lot of dirtbike experience outrunning the cops on the streets. lol
i got a cbr125 2013 repsol edition because of license restrictions but as i´m a tall guy - 192cm or 6.3 and for sure i wouldn´t get it nor a ninja 250 300 or a cbr 250 id consider something like a cbr 500r ... other than that agree with the video completely ... keep them coming :)
hey CycleCruza i had a ninja 250r for 2 years and i rode it every day. I sold it and now i am considering buying a 2005 cbrr 1000. Whats your opinion? Am i going to have trouble or i'll be fine if i take it slow?
Excellent Information also when riding you got to exercise throttle control when going through water puddles on the ground. When you see a water puddle immediately reduce your speed and coast through the water puddle and gradually pick up your throttle for if you ride through a water puddle at top speed you run the risk of hydro-planeing the bike and then you run the risk of falling of the bike so exercise precaution. Also learning the aero-dynamics of air-pockets and drafting for in moto-gp racing the reason why there are accidents is because the bikes are drafting each other which causes the bike to create a current of air inertial and if the remaining bikes who crosses through the stream doesn't draft correctly this is what causes air-inversion where the bike slips an slides of the track due to aero-dynamic recoil and flips the bike off the track. If bikes ensure they have air shifters where air flow and regulates the traction of the bike this will regulate the bike towards the traction speed of the other racers and will balance cc which is carbon cylinder speed for your gauges to remain at torque level.
Hey awesome channel but wat about ppl that have been on bikes for a long time like me had dirt bikes for 80cc up to 700cc 4stroke and 2stroke my first street bike is a 2000 R6 been riding it for 2 years now never gone down but I have gone down on dirt bikes when I was younger but I haven't gone down on a bike for like 8 years now so I no wat is like to go down so I ride safe
I just provide my opinion but people can choose whatever bike they want to start on. If you have previous motorcycle experience than you may feel comfortable starting on a faster bike but it's up to the rider. At the end of the day all that matters is you are happy and stay safe.
Good advice. However, I think that it also depends on an individual's character, learning curve, physical coordination...etc. My father taught me to ride a motorcycle when I was so small that the bike was actually bigger than I was. Neither foot reached the ground, even came close. Haha! No joke. At that size, any bike is "too powerful". However, being the fast-learning, cautious person that I am, I did just fine. Now, I realize that most people may need to start out on something more conducive to their inexperience. That makes sense. On they other hand, if you know that you are a level-headed, coordinated, fast learner, who might be confident enough to start on something a little more powerful than a 250. Just saying. Still, a great video. Keep up the good work, man.Thanks.
Hi cyclecruza last month I just to kawasaki dealership and I sit in a kawasaki ninja 300 and i was confident in that bike so do you think kawasaki ninja 250r and zx6r 2012 is good for me and I want to know dose the zx6r 2012 have a traction control
Adam Al Balushi I don't recommend starting on that bike, it's best to learn on a cheap bike you can beat up on. I'm sure you don't want to beat up on your dream bike? Chances are high that you will lay the bike down when you first start out, reason I don't recommend starting on your dream bike even if it has power modes and traction control. Imo, you shouldn't start out learning with the use of electronic rider aides.
Dual sports are more expensive and not really great street bikes imo. I like them but I'd only get one if I hit the trails often, if we had trails here. lol
haven't ridden it yet... still too much snow. very soon I'll be on the road though... maybe next week if I'm lucky. But it looks damn sexy though. And I definitely don't recommend the CBR250 as when you see it up close, you'l notice all the cheap / delicate parts they put on it. I plan on travelling 1000km distance both ways once a year with it as well as commute a lot, so as a starter bike, I think it's just right for me for now. After a few years, I'll sell it and get a either a CBR600rr or CTX700N, depending on how I feel about travelling on a sports bike.
Honesty the best beginner bike is the Ninja 400. Its got around the same power as the Ninja 650, you'll probably keep it longer than the 250, and it's hell of a lot cheaper to insure almost half the price of any 500cc and up bike . At least in Canada
If you read the title I said "Honda CBR500r Best Beginner Motorcycle vs Kawasaki Ninja 300 vs Honda CBR250r" : I didn't say it was the best beginner motorcycle EVER. The cbr500r is a great beginner bike but they cost too much if you are a new rider who is dead set on getting a supersport one day, in which case you will probably end up losing money on the cbr500r. The cbr500rr is a great beginner bike for someone that is content with the power and is not looking for a more powerful bike in the future. Honestly, I probably would have kept the cbr500r if they had that bike when I was looking for a first bike. I never really wanted a super fast bike myself, just wanted something quick off the line and would do well on the highway.
CycleCruza I rewatched that whole video and in at 2:20 you said you recommended the cbr500 over the ninja 300. The cbr 250r is too weak therefore the cbr500r would be the best if the other 2 did not perform as well. I'm referring to performance only.
John doe as a new rider performance doesn't matter much, you just want to get a bike for cheap that you can learn on quickly and can sell it quickly with little to no loss. That's if your dream is to get eventually a 600cc supersport. The 08+ ninja 250 is a sought after bike b/c it looks like a bigger bike and is great looking, really performance wise it's not all that much better than any of the other 250 beginner bikes but they can be had cheap and can be resold quickly for a profit unlike some of the other beginner bikes. That's the main reason I endorsed it as a the best beginner bike ever.
Hey love your channel bro quick question I’m going to start riding but I had hip surgery a few years ago and my legs are not as strong as they use to be but I really love motorcycles do you recommend that I start on a 250r or should I just leave them alone all together?
CycleCruza bro i need some help im stuck between picking out my first bike and i LOVE the fucken CBR but its way too damn high for me i need to tilt the bike on its side to get a foot on the ground im 5'8 need some Solid advice i want to buy a CBR 250RR but it aint available in US so im stuck choose the CBR 300 R or the CBR 600 RR and sad part is im already in love with the CBR 600 RR at the dealership i feel like ima be buying my death wish lol..
First time rider just saying today was the first time i reved a bike and sat on one and i gotta say fucken feels good to hear that exhaust and motor roaring lol...
Question. Im 6'1 and 320 pounds but carry it well. Would a 250r fit my needs as a beginner? I have been told i would need a 600 at least. Do they make regular sports bikes in 600? Thoughts please.
I got a used Xt660x (47hp) and love it, my dream bike is an R1 but cant stand those 250, 300 babies sportbikes...would have bought a 390 duke but couldnt find a used one :)
From what I heard, the ninja 250 can be uncomfortable but a lot of factors can really go into this. Your height, bottom size (butt size, yes I am serious), weather, road, and etc. But really, you should go to your local Kawasaki dealer and ask if you can sit even better test drive the ninja 250. Hope this helped.
Hey I really like your videos. I have a question for you, I learned to ride on a Suzuki Katana 600. I rode it multiple times on streets and on the highway. It was a friends bike that I used while I was going to school out of state, that was about a year ago. Now I'm buying one of my own and I'm curious if I can just go ahead and get the cbr600rr, or am I making to big of a jump with the power/weight ratio. Thoughts?
I appreciate your feedback but no a Katana is not faster than a 600rr. Katana has about 80 HP and weighs about 100 lbs more, while the 600rr has over 100 HP
I recently sold my 250r and got a 2009 gsxr 600 orange paint scheme and I have to say I found the gsxr easier to ride and more stable. I have to say one thing you fail to mention is the ninja 250r has a carburetor... it really keeps it from being a better bike. If you don't have it on full choke sitting at 4-5k rpm at a stoplight for the first 10 minutes you will stall out and as a beginner this is not ideal. Throttle response isn't good until the bike fully warm. Honestly the only reason I would recommend this bike as a beginner bike is because you will make mistakes i.e. drop the bike. It is much painless when your bike has already been dropped/wrecked and you won't make that same mistake on your dream bike. Imo the ninja 300 would be more user-friendly but at the time it was 2500 for the 250 or 5k for the 300. heck i even saw some guy paid 7k otd for a 300 abs se. If you can get a 300 for 3.5k or less now that it's over a year old I would opt for that. Just my 2 cents.
Hey thanks for sharing your insight. My points were more focused on cost. Although the ninja 250r does have a carb my friends who started on the ninja 250r never had a problem with it. I had a chinese scooter, so I know how carbs can suck, but most people that had the ninja 250r told me it wasn't really a problem, because that was a concern for me when I was buying a 250. The ninja 300 is an excellent bike to start on but many new riders like paying $2-3k less for the ninja 250r. If a rider can pick up a ninja 300 for a hot price by all means that would be a better bike to get. However, most people will probably grow bored of the 300's power anyways. Fact is most people don't keep a 250, 300, 400, 500, etc very long anyways.
because it's CHEAPER! Cheaper sells faster as well. When you buy a 250 to learn on you want to learn on it quick and sell it quick, you'll do that a lot faster with the 08+ ninja 250r. They are still HOT!
CycleCruza I guess in general they are yeah, where im at (Southern UT) I have to go all the way to vegas to find a ninja 250 which is about 4 hrs drive. Only things in town are 300s and most people dont ride bikes here since its like a retirement community
I want to get bmw s1000rr But it a little to powerful for a beginner bike so i was thinking instead of CBR 250 Or A ninja i dont like them that much (No offense to anyone)I was thinking either a ZX-6R 636 Or a yamaha R6.
don't get a YZF-R6. it doesn't come with ABS and trust me, you think you won't need it but it's saved my life 3-4 times and i've been riding for like 2 months. take the ninja 300 ABS for a test ride first. it has plenty of power and torque for a beginner. if it feels too slow then get a ninja 636 abs. wanna add that i was considering getting a used cbr600rr without abs as my first bike. when a lady took a left turn in front of me and i had to slam on the brakes, i knew i made the right choice.

CycleCruza I found a 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250r for $1,800 ! New parrelli tires and aftermarket exhaust! 17,000 miles . Do you think I should buy it?
i recently just purchased a 2010 ninja 250r for my first bike and i gotta say im not disappointed at all!
Are you know?
I just bought a 2015 ninja 300 for my 1st street bike based on this and other videos and, I'm absolutely in love with it is great bike. Looks really cool and is really forgiving handles nice and has smooth acceleration haven't really opened it up I've only been on it twice but I couldn't be happier with it.
Luis Hernandez Cool! the Ninja 300 is a nice bike!
When did you sell it???
thebigz198506 hahaha...... never gonna sell it ....i keep up if not leave 600s behind on hwy 74 going up to Idyllwild .....I am looking into getting a ZX-6r just to show off ! lmao
+hektaah What i was about to say, i have a 300 and 600s fucking shit on me on highways
+hektaah fuck u I said in the canyons! obviously u don't know hwy74.
You're a great rider. Having fun on the streets in moderation. Ride safe sir.
I enjoy your videos - I have learned a lot.
Funny how I am a woman and I am subscribed to your channel but I don't know nothing about bikes lol
Love your videos brother! Keep them comin - God Bless!
I got a '13 CBR250R recently and its great! Having lots of fun learning on it. Yes I bought it new but I'll attempt to sell it at the same value..
Enjoyed the video. Even more enjoyable was the area you were riding in. Nice scenery. Plenty of space and some cool looking houses. Not too many cagers. Came across some impatient a**holes cagers on Sydney roads tonight. Might relocate over there. ☺
I would say to start on a 500cc bike like the new honda cbr500r or cb500f but that's just my opinion.
Yea true when I was first going to get a street bike I was looking at a 250 or whatever I could afford but my friend was moving away and was in need for money so I bought the bike from him for $900 so I couldn't pass it up bc I know I can make money off it when I'm ready to get something newer my dream bike pretty much
RIGHT! Good job bro, keep up the good work.
I like the ninjas but where I am there aren't any for sale around here. Right now there is some awesome deals on new cbr 250 rs though so I might get that as my first bike. Just over 3k for a brand new bike.
cbr250r is a fantastic bike to start on, just won't sell as fast as a ninja 250r but it will sell with patience.
CycleCruza cool, I don't intend to sell for a while anyway since I'm one of those people that need a lot of practice to understand something. Will prob keep it a good year before I'll feel comfortable enough with more power. I'm also 6" 3 do you think that'll suit me good?
There is a motovlogger that is 6'4" and said he was fine on the cbr250r. It's all preference though. Go sit on one and see for yourself.
So going 60-70 my 600 will be at a cool 5-7k rpms in 5th as compared to the 250/300 in 6th at 8-9k rpm with redline at 13
I started on the ninja 250r. It's really a great starter bike.
where do you get 2500$ 250r ninja? I don't think they go below 4500$ new.
Sukhy Mann Most likely used from Craigslist (Not sure if he said it was new or not), which would probably be the best way to go.
all of the 250s around my area are like 3k and up used...heck I found a cbr 600rr for 4k I have a hard time buying the little brother for 1k less
Well.... How about a BMW RR 1000 or HP4 it has mode selecters and ABS system, wheelie control, and stoppie control,
I'm 6'4 190 pounds and I'm 15 and do a lot of research on bikes, I really want to get a bike, but I don't want to get anything too short.
The 2010 Ninja 250 is the bike I bought my wife and it was the best bike for her to start with...I agree it is a great beginner bike. She has been riding it for about 6 months and says she can see riding it about another year before she moves up to something else.
Nice! Thanks for sharing your insight. Cool to hear you got your wife to ride.
I am 17 years old an I have a Yamaha TZR 50 WGP (50cc), the top speed is 95... It is huge to be a 50cc, BUT I LOVE IT!!
Wow.. A 50cc going 95mph?! Did you mean kmh?..
kmh yeah, haha
Lmao okay. I was so surprised for a second until realized it was probably kmh. Lol
Gonna buy my Ninja 250r next week. It will be my first bike and I can't wait to RIDE!!!
Started on a 08 R6
i want to start riding and I am going to be 17 years old because its a lot more convenient and parking is easier to find. Is this a good idea or not because I know insurance would be pretty expensive and all that
Purchased my first bike in April a 2012 ninja 250r for about 2300!! Loving it
So how exactly do you accelerate fast on a bike? Is it just a matter of bigger engine size, or is there a technique?
I'll probably buy a ninja 650 or an er-6 for my next bike, but for now I'm still loving my cbr250.
I've had years of experience since 2005 of riding a 125cc bike. So I'm wondering if I could get a 600cc bike for my level of riding now. But I just moved here in Canada from Philippines and it's been almost a year that I haven't had a ride with any bikes here. I need your suggestion bro :)
I've picked the Ninja 300 LE for my first bike. Getting it later this year.
If the price is very similar would it be better the 2011 or 2012
This is for anybody that would like to answer. I just bought a Ninja 300 SE, out the door price $5300, No ABS. Was this a good deal or did I get screwed? I live in Michigan. I think I got a pretty good deal but not sure.
What do you think about the Yamaha MT-07 (Learner Approved version in Australia, 655cc, 52hp, 42.4 ft lb) for a beginner?
hey CycleCruza I live in the Caribbean and there isnt much 250s around for new riders to choose from as a beginner.
I believe it comes in solid red and solid white as well.
Stick with japanese, more reliable and easier to sell.
What do you think about a cb500f for a starter bike? I am now riding a yamaha zuma 50.
Hey man! I want your opinion about this. I want to buy new 2014 Yamaha YZF-125R. I was driving scooter a little bit but nothing more. I will get my licence in about half of year. Should I buy Yamaha R125 for my first ever motorcycle?
in your Honda CBR500r Best Beginner Motorcycle vs Kawasaki Ninja 300 vs Honda CBR250r video it seemed like you were endorsing the honda cbr500r
One question Cycle; A kawasaki 250r with 22000 kilometers driven is a good choice for my first byke? thanks
Ninja 650's are nice or even the ninja 1000.
"Wemon don't know shit" LMFAO BRO!!!
Your avatar makes your comment even funnier
Do you have a video on how to buy a used bike? Like what to look for when you test drive a used ninja 250r for example?
Yeah the trailer for the video is at the end of this video. You must have skipped the end. Here is the link: How To Get Started in Motorcycling
Love your vids man, good advice here.
Hi...im 5'6 and 130 lbs. Suzuki 300 is my first choice, then a 636 could be my future bike....Do you agree ? Can i handle it ?
Sounds like a plan! Best of luck.
CycleCruza Any comments about my height and weight sir....TY
armvet Best bet is to go to a dealership and sit on the bikes and see how you feel on them, that's the only way for you to know for sure.
So you have ridden a Kawasaki 250r?
Just remember folks, this is just his opinion. You can go out with a 250cc or a 600cc, with the 600cc you wont have the "awh man wish I had more power" 4 months later.
Thank you for all the great videos and the information is great I would like to know is it possible to start on big bike from day one in the us the reason I ask is because in the uk we start training on 125 cc and as the training progress you then go up to a 500cc while training and then do your test on a 500 cc for your full license .
What's thé différence between ninja 250r and 250s ??
You went up to 60 mph then slowed down to 55 mph. I saw the speed.
+LITTLEDUDEXII I even saw SIXTY ONE.
P.S. Go to 25 seconds and turn the video speed down too 0.25.
Enjoy the sounds.
Best starter bike is a liter bike with twin turbos lol. That was some tips man people need to start out on something that's easier to ride and will help build their confidence in skill.
lol My brother started on a 93 cbr900rr back in the early 90's, but he was a crazy mofo and had a lot of dirtbike experience outrunning the cops on the streets. lol
Im 15 and I got my Ninja 250 when I was 14 and I like it alot still. I want to motovlog but i anit got that kind of money
i got a cbr125 2013 repsol edition because of license restrictions but as i´m a tall guy - 192cm or 6.3 and for sure i wouldn´t get it nor a ninja 250 300 or a cbr 250 id consider something like a cbr 500r ... other than that agree with the video completely ... keep them coming :)
hey CycleCruza i had a ninja 250r for 2 years and i rode it every day. I sold it and now i am considering buying a 2005 cbrr 1000. Whats your opinion? Am i going to have trouble or i'll be fine if i take it slow?
Would you recommend anything older then a 2008 Ninja 250R? I always see 2005 Ninja 250's for example in my area on craigslist.
Yeah but they look very dated, if you want a 80's looking bike then get tge 05 250r. lol
I have the 300 it rules ,take the msf class and play it slow and safe wear ur gear too
Hey awesome channel but wat about ppl that have been on bikes for a long time like me had dirt bikes for 80cc up to 700cc 4stroke and 2stroke my first street bike is a 2000 R6 been riding it for 2 years now never gone down but I have gone down on dirt bikes when I was younger but I haven't gone down on a bike for like 8 years now so I no wat is like to go down so I ride safe
2010 Kawasaki Vulcan CLASSIC for $5800 good?
I csn already tell i'm getting a kawasaki ninja 250 for a beginner bike and I'm only 12 years old!!!
Cyclecruza! what are your thoughts on a ninja 500? I'm a new rider and I just picked up a 2009 for my first bike and I've been loving it so far.
What about a dual sport? When you wreck, if you are still good, you can get back on and keep riding, happened to me, but my ass hurt!!
Dual sports are more expensive and not really great street bikes imo. I like them but I'd only get one if I hit the trails often, if we had trails here. lol
I'm really looking forward to the Yamaha r25, Hopefully I get that beauty.
You have any plans to join a track day event now that the weathers getting better?
Don't really have the time...hopefully. Still looking for a bugout vehicle...
I got me a 2013 Ninja 300 ABS... close enough :p
thats exactly what im aiming for to start, what are your thoughts so far
haven't ridden it yet... still too much snow. very soon I'll be on the road though... maybe next week if I'm lucky.
You made a good choice dude, the 250's are so outdated now.
i just got me a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 SE i thought it was a good deal for $5,000
RapidLogic1144 why is it outdated?
Honda CB500f and CTX700n are great starter bikes IMO.
Honesty the best beginner bike is the Ninja 400. Its got around the same power as the Ninja 650, you'll probably keep it longer than the 250, and it's hell of a lot cheaper to insure almost half the price of any 500cc and up bike . At least in Canada
my first bike was yamaha ss125cc. It was a good bike to ride.
I thought you recommend the the Honda CBR 500R as the best beginner bike??? Why the changed?
Im looking at a 2013 ninja 300 3k miles, warranty for two years. is asking 3k, is that a good deal
dieselperformance17 sounds decent but I'd try to get it down to at least $2700 cash.
Question. Im 6'1 and 320 pounds but carry it well. Would a 250r fit my needs as a beginner? I have been told i would need a 600 at least. Do they make regular sports bikes in 600? Thoughts please.
***** as a beginner bike? I dont think so. Besides, i want a sports bike.
Get a ninja 650r, I know a big dude that started on the ninja 650r and did well.
Ok. Thanks for your help. Safety and learning are my two biggest concerns. I can worry about speed later!
I got a used Xt660x (47hp) and love it, my dream bike is an R1 but cant stand those 250, 300 babies sportbikes...would have bought a 390 duke but couldnt find a used one :)
On a lot of ninja 250 reviews there is always people saying the seat is uncomfortable, is that true
If i can find a decent deal on a 2009+ honda 600 is it worth it or should i search for a 2007 2008
07/08 rules, 09+ is a tick slower on top end power due to EPA regulations bs that started with the 09 models.
what about a 2015 honda cbr300r?
i started riding 2 moths ago for the first time in my life and started on an r6
I love cruzas alter ego when hes on his bike vlogging shit cracks me up. Why did you pick the 250r over the 300 ninja though?
because it's CHEAPER! Cheaper sells faster as well. When you buy a 250 to learn on you want to learn on it quick and sell it quick, you'll do that a lot faster with the 08+ ninja 250r. They are still HOT!
CycleCruza
I guess in general they are yeah, where im at (Southern UT) I have to go all the way to vegas to find a ninja 250 which is about 4 hrs drive. Only things in town are 300s and most people dont ride bikes here since its like a retirement community
MAN, U TOLD ME WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED TO HEAR
I MAY GET LAID, TNX BRO
is a zx11 a good beginner bike?
I'm 6'4" is a 250 too small for me too ride comfortably?
***** ok cool
Which is lower (for us 5'5" ladies) CBR250 or Ninja250?
Both are pretty low, both the cbr250r and the ninja 250r has a 30.5" seat height .
Thanks I appreciate your time and thanks for the videos and advice . Ride safe :)
I got my bike. And been riding thanks for the advice -way back last year. Hmu Facebook page Tina Marie Dunne
