Your explanation is great and easy to understand.. Thank you👍🏼I'm a Air conditioning technician ans very soon going engaged with my new work place Bosch Qatar as a home appliances technician.
Very good video mate, you got one more like and subscribe. My hood did not work,no lights or fan was working. I managed to open the hood up thanks to this video and when I looked inside there was a connection that was disconnected. Put that back in to the switch panel and it worked. Well, two of the fan speed did not work, but now I know how to change it for when I order the part later on. 🙂👍
thanks Thank you for leaving a comment, I would love you to leave your opinion on our poll about manufactures building in obsolescence to appliances. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxygHomnUySd_bYjaJBdEHPO6T4dYo9Ahm Thanks 👍
visited a cooker hood today. custumor light was working but no power to the fan. it was a 900mm range cooker hood with washable grease filters. the customer put in some aftermarket filter material behind the filters so possibly the motor overheated?
Hello, a very informative video, thank you. Are the cooker hoods shown bonded to earth?. I understand that most designs are double insulated and so should not be earthed. However the images of the switches, bulb holders, and cct board suggest that it may be possible for a live wire to become loose and touch exposed metal work. Also much of the internal wiring does not look to be double insulated. I come across situations where the installer has sometimes earthed the hood and sometimes not. I would be interested on your professional opinion on this matter.
Answer the chassis of the cooker hood is normally metal and there are electrical components within I would always have the chassis Earthed and most of the ones in the UK are. glad we could help you @adrianhaw4635 this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. My hood range fan acting funny - it would turn on and work for a bit and then the fan shuts off. A day later it works again. The light is working as usual. It’s just the fan that is acting up. I can turn it on, it works for a bit and shuts off. What could be the reason? Thank you!
If the filters are not kept clean on a regular basis, Greece will get to though you might want to try some grease proof filter paper as an additional filter, but the extraction will not be as good glad we could help you @ladybird480 this is for you ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 please remember to subscribe as that's what keeps this channel going. Simple explanation, Brilliant, thank you v m.
B4 doing anything...you can also try completely disconnecting from mains and reconnecting after a minute or so. This will clear any electronic states.
Great vid - very helpful, thanks!
Great video, well done.

The mobile phone camera is the handiest thing for this sort of stuff.
Filming in general when you're on your own is a very hard thing to do

Does any grease penetrate through the filter into the fan housing? Is it normal for some grease to be in the housing? Thanks
