This looks so good! I love sweet potatoes but recently I've been getting bored baking it, so glad you've shared this recipe with us. Thanks a lot! And you're son is so cute!
Thanks for sharing this quick & easy recipe. I'm not a big coffee drinker so this will be something worth trying. I just happen to have a steamed Korean sweet potato left over & sitting in my fridge.
I love it! Its spring, but ill make this, this weekend. When i went to university in Japan and went to visit Korea, this was one of my favorite drinks! When it's so cold walking around outside in the middle of Korean winter, you really learn the importance of hopping between cafes to soak warmth from hot drinks! Haha. I'm also glad I found your Channel because I have been practicing more and more Korean cooking so that my future husband does not only have to eat rice! LOL. My boyfriend is from South Korea and we have been dating for 3 years, this June. I'm going to try a couple of your recipes this weekend! Can't wait to see how they turn out! I am really excited for it. There is an H Mart in town now, so I went there to fill all of my Korean grocery list! I think I probably spent 3 hours and not store because I was having so much fun! And the samples that the store was giving out in various sections, those were my reststop when I got tired running around the store. LOL When I stopped at one place to try the squid, the sweet Korean lady was asking me if I was going to do Korean cooking. I told her my story and she immediately started trying to pack more food in my cart saying, " in Korea there's a saying that if the wife cooks well, the husband will never run away! Korean wives always cook a lot!" Hahah it was so cute. But i guess in English we say that, too.. "the way to a man's heart, is through his stomach." Anyway! Soon ill be a good Korean cook like you! 😉
I can feel the happiness and excitement you have in your life with your Korean boyfriend.. I'm sure your love toward him bring all this interest in Korean cooking.. such a sweet idea... Thanks for your story.. and please let me know how your Korean cooking turned out this weekend. Good luck to you..and I'm sure your boyfriend will appreciate your effort and love. :) Wish your happy life with him for a long time... thanks..
Aeri's Kitchen 😍🙂 thank you for the well wishes! I think they're high expectations for cooking in my boyfriend's family because they own a Korean restaurant and in Seoul, they used to own three restaurants. So they are definitely a foodie family! Haha. I told him I have a really high expectation to live up to! So I have to cook better than everyone! LOL. But I think I'm starting to get better at it. I think since I am feeling a little more confident with Korean cooking lately, I need to practice Korean language! That will be another big project! My boyfriend told me it would be good if I start learning to speak Korean soon. I think I will have to work really hard at it! I told him today I think Korean is an alien language. 👽. some of the words sound really strange for me. But I am always teasing him.😉 By the way this latte recipe is Sublime! Love it! I did not have milk of any kind in my refrigerator... However I did have a soy and vanilla chai drink mix available so I used that instead of milk. The chai spices were very complimentary to the drink. So it turned out really tasty! I tried your miniature 김밥 recipe and some of the 반찬. Also the 돈까스 recipe. Invited a friend over on Sunday to enjoy the food with me and it went well! 💟💟💟 I will definitely try more of your recipes soon! They are really great! I like how in some of your recipes you do a Fusion of Western and Korean food. Maybe just using what you have in the kitchen. Because that is more real life. Everyday cooking. Especially when you have an international family and marriage, so taste can be different, and food expectation can be a little different. You just make everything your own unique way to make everyone in the family happy.
Wow, I almost missed your precious comment. how did that happen?. Sorry I just read your comment and enjoyed reading it. Thanks a lot. You will be an expert for both Korean cooking and language soon.. with the power of your love toward your bf..hehe thanks
after i watched this today, my mother came home with a bag of organic sweet potatoes!!! we baked it and i used one to make this!!! so delicious and nutritious:D!!! perfect for winter xD thanks again for sharing!!!
if you can get sweet and firm sweet potato.. like cheestnut..it doesn't have to be Korean sweet potato..but.. I think normal American sweet potato is more mush and not that sweet..and has a little different flavor... you can still try it and add more sugar.. just it can be a little different result..
Awww Bryson is absolutely adorable! Your kids at the end of your videos are always the cherry on top of every video. So cute and the recipe looks yummy =)
Some day I hope to be able to try some Korean sweet potato and make one of these drinks! So far I haven't found any for sale here but I will keep looking out for them. Thanks for sharing the very tasty looking recipe. And for bringing lots of smiles with your son's taste-test, he's a great boy!!
I started making the WORST sounds when Byron taste-tested! He's so adorable! I love this recipe, too! Now I finally have a use for the Korean sweet potatoes that nobody else likes but me. Haha; thank you!
Thanks, Aeri. This looks soo good! I wonder if a latin american/jamaican batata would work as well. Bryson is soooo cute. He'll grow up to be a food critic one day. Thanks for the upload.
+Carole McDonnell I didn't try american/jamaican batata before..but I can guess it's a family of sweet potato or yam..right..if that is.. why not..try it ^^ the sweetness can be different.. so you can add more sweet ingredient such as sugar.. maple syrup.. or honey for your taste. thanks
Yes..I feel the same way.. we hope that our kids growing well..but at the same time.. sad to see... they are no longer small like the other day...other month..other year.. ^^

Just subscribed! i wanted sikae so bad so I watched that first and this is the second video I'm watching. Thank you for the recipe. Your son is soooo cute!!!
Awwwwww your son is sooooooooo cute 😍 When I was watching him my face was like this 😭OMG he's just extra cute! can I ask you a kind of personal question? your son is he mix? Korean-something? because I've watched many many many Korean dramas and there's a little thing about him that doesn't seem Korean.. I hope what I said doesn't upset you. I'm definitely gonna try this recipe, it looks delicious.
I should try this using my homemade lemon syrup instead of maple. I think the brightness of the lemon would really compliment the sweet potato well. Also, it's great that your boy love cinnamon so much. It's great for regulating blood sugar, which is really important at the age when they love EVERYTHING sweet.
Aeri's Kitchen Here's the recipe on my dA page: loonylizard.deviantart.com/art/Lemon-Syrup-412226386 And if you're wondering where to get powdered lemon zest, try Penzey's online: www.penzeys.com/online-catalog/lemon-peel-powder/c-24/p-1183/pd-s Of course, if you have a Penzey's store nearby, so much the better! ^_^
