Most synth sounds are the Juno 6, some soft synths used, and the drums are layered but the most present layer is a Roland 707.
Created this one in my bedroom while procrastinating rehearsal for a live set.

_They say that when about to be born, an angel will show you everything you will ever experience in your life, and for that brief moment, you will have absolute clarity, only to forget moments later…. This happens to every human being, and Olive was no different._
_Olive saw she was fated to become a celebrity, one of those old timey ones on black and white TV, wealthy, and admired by millions. However, the life of a star would also mean that she would meet a very gruesome end, and at the end of her life, she would resent her life of stardom and think back on her childhood, and wish she hadn’t died at such a young age, scream to God that it was unfair for her to be taken so soon…_
_She saw her childhood, a good one, one she would cherish for her whole life, especially at it’s end. She saw the road trips her parents took her on, and how much she enjoyed looking out the window, she remembered learning to drive herself, so that she could take herself on her beloved roadtrips whenever she wanted, and finally, she saw her face, her own face at first, tipsy, dancing, happy, but then finally_ *her* _face, the face of her future murderer, an obsessive stan who was upset that the young celebrity never noticed her…._
_It’s time to wake up, Olive. It’s time to be born and remember NONE of this_
    *What? But no! NO!*
*I don’t want to be a star! Why would you tell me this if I can’t even change it?*
    *DON’T FORGET! REMEMBER!*
*Live a normal life live a normal life live a normal life oh God PLEASE!*

    THE LIBRARY OF BABEL
“It’s a truly eerie experience. Because, you can find the permanent location for ANY 3200 character text. You can find in this library, the description of your birth. Every possible description of your death. Every poem, every joke, every lie, anything that could be said can be found on this site. This thing, blurs the line between invention and discovery. Did you really discover or invent that thing, if its’ description already existed? 10^5000 different pages are offered by the Library of Babel. In comparison, there are only 10^80 atoms in the observable universe. I searched for what I’ve just said, and sure enough in this hexagon, on this wall, this shelf, in this volume, on this page, it’s there. Hello.”

It must be overwhelming to lie in bed at night and think of the number of people you've had a significant emotional impact on, myself included. Hundreds of thousands of individual people, and something you created yourself holds a special place in their mind, and will do until death. That's incredible.

I spent a night listening to this back in 2017.
I listened to it in the car on the way to school when morning came.
Since the previous year, I had been planning to take my own life. Through the pain I felt, I found some sort of comfort in this music.
That morning at school, an announcement was made to the students. That night, my friend Tyler, had taken his own life.
The piece took on a new meaning for me.
I cherish this work of art in his memory.
    Thank you.

    • @FaisalKhan76
      @FaisalKhan76 2 роки тому +11

      May Tyler rest in peace.
If ever think about taking your own life again just go watch what we will miss in future video from vsausce
If that isn't enough then just think about children your wife might have given birth to, to see the magnificent collision of two galaxies, only if you had not taken your own life.
If you don't wanna live for yourself, live for your future generations, give them the chance to witness grandest show milky way and andromeda will ever put on the night sky with their last breath, filling it with brightest colors!
Even when both of galaxies collides and loose their inviudiual identify, they'll give birth to a new galaxy to live in a future universes.
I wouldn't wanna miss such show.

    • @scar8089
      @scar8089 2 роки тому +9

My deepest condolences to you and Tyler, may his soul rest in peace.
I know just how deep the hole is. That sinking pit of loneliness and isolation. The feeling of not wanting to breathe another second or get out of bed another time. It's like your body wants to rot right where it lays.
I am not sure where you are at in life right now but please know, you are worth it and you are not a burden.
Life snatches you by the hair and drags you through the dirt so many times, but it's up to you if you want to get up and fight again.
You're stronger than you give yourself credit for. It is ok to be sad, to be angry, to feel nothing. But to bottle it up and let it fester is not.
You are not alone, you are wanted, your words and feelings are valid.
The bad has to come in order to have the good.
      Blessed be friend

The numbers trend started because 90% of his comments used to be "VSAUCE GUYS??" "And as always, thanks for watching" or some variation. I love vsauce but it was pretty annoying, so people decided to drown them out by counting.

    • @animationspace8550

I see the numbers of the collective unity of the people watching. As in the remaining hope that humanity has any connection at all on something as simple as a music video all vsauce viewers have heard. You aren't required to write numbers, but I see it as a deeper more symbolic sign of respect.

Yea, this music really hits you, it makes you think about life and how small we are and the small amount of information that we will ever perceive as long as the human race will exist. Soon there will be a new species on earth, ones smarter since they will have our information, it's really dad to know that we're all ending soon and just talking about this makes me shake in fear and fascination

I want this to be the last song I hear before dying. While listening it is so easy to remember and look back at everything you've accomplished, failed loved and hated. This song makes me honour the past and accept that nothing can change the past regardless of how much you previously wished you could change it. The song gives a sense of self consciousness along with a moment of reflection that feels peaceful yet sad upon having to accept the past as it is. I like it.

For some reason, this song reminds me of waking up in the morning super early. You know when you're half asleep, but you know you have to get ready for the day. Just sitting for a few minutes, thinking either about what you dreamed about last night, what you're planning to do for the day, or some other random topic you woke up inexplicably thinking about more than you usually do when you're fully awake.

Someday, someone will post the very last comment on this video. The records of you being here, and leaving that comment will still be there. Untouched. Forever let still to sit in the vast ocean of the internet. It's so funny, I scrolled all the way down to 3463, and found my comment, from a few weeks ago. Untouched. Not insignificant, but a steppingstone to another, greater, larger milestone. All of these 4107 other comments, and more that come after me will leave a legacy on the internet, no matter how minute it may be. This song reminds me how uncontrollable life is, how unpredictable and unsure one can be in the world around them. Who knows, my comment or maybe yours may be the very last comment on this video. Cheers, to the end, boys.
