@@olgalambeth6330 so weird. Because once you Sublimate on one side, it will not take on the other. I'm waiting to call the company (DyePress Poly) and see what advice they can give me. The side that does Sublimate is kind of hit and miss. Some images come out nice and others come out grainy looking. Now I'm using LAMINATE and though much more work I DO LOVE THE FACT I CAN SUBLIMATE ON BOTH SIDES!!
@@olgalambeth6330 YES. Any kind of laminating sheets, pouches, rolls. Works great. Just use an Exacto Knife or a blade to cut and scrape the excess off.
Omg....this could have helped me 2 tumblers ago. I ruined 2 trying tosub them with vinyl on first then the design...what a disaster. Thank fmyou for this.
This was most definitely some quality information. Always thought it best to peel hot. But allowing it to cool down, will be sure to try this! Thank you for this gold!
Great tutorial. I just started using Dyepress products myself. I wanted to share a little info about tbe alternative paper you are using. Multi- purpose paper is working for me just as good af A-Sub and a few others I've tried. Copy paper does not work the same. Those are very different types of paper. Copy paper is design to NOT release ink. The best thing about multi- purpose paper is getting out in legal size, which A- sub discontinued. It is not as thick, so be sure to use a piece for blow out. Still, @ $17/ream legal size! Us can't beat it. Hope this helps!
Thanks very much for your comment and support. Thanks also for your info. its very valuable ad it will surely help many persons who are looking to get into Polygloss.
@@moyercreations Sorry for the delayed response. I use Staples brand, but as long as it is "multi-purpose" (which is for inkjet AND laser and usually states this) and is no more than 96 bright. Rachel from Dyepress explains it in more detail on her video. You can jump to the section about paper at min 5:14. ua-cam.com/video/fjHUwtIgQkA/v-deo.html I've been making my own substrates out of tile, wood, metal, fabric, etc. Basically anything that can handle heat and is flat enough to fit in my press using her Dyepress products.
that came out nice!!!!! loved both of them! definitely saw the difference between the two stainless sleet on the end of the video... not only on the color but the ink itself...one is very smooth and the other not so much. Thank you! great video!
Thanks for your question. I never tried it before but I wouldn't use it for stainless steel but more use it for wood. To me, polyacrylic is mostly made for wood so I am not sure how it will stand up to stainless steel and the heat when sublimating. I hope this answer helps.
Becoming a new subbie..I have the exact flask and for the life of me I couldn't get it to sublimate. I will definitely buy some gloss...using your link of course😉
Welcome to the sublimation process. Just remember if your flask isn’t sublimation coated it would be able to be used for sublimation and putting pictures on it. I found this video by chance, and so glad I did. I have two questions- have you determined what kind of spray paint can be used with the poly gloss, and the second is can you mix glitter or mica powder in before applying and sublimation. Thanks in advance
Hi thanks for tuning in. You can take a look at this video where I used spray heat resistant paint to coat the items. I do believe that you can add some glitter and I am in the process of creating videos of that nature. See the video where I use the spray paint - How to Recoat Ruin Sublimation Tumblers by Sanding Painting and Coating with PolyGloss ua-cam.com/video/NlaVpag3qIA/v-deo.html
Can you recoat after the first one if not satisfied? I did mine but with drip marks and brush strokes. Can you also take off the coat after completely dry as long as you did not cure it?
Thanks for your question. The answer to your question is yes. You can re-coat the tumbler if it’s not up to your satisfaction and even if you sublimated it and want to redo it you can sand it and start fresh.
Hi, and thanks for your question. I do believe that there is a possibility that it can work. You will have to monitor the temperature and pressure if you will be using a mug press.
I'm waiting on my polygloss and other materials to arrive so I can strip down tumblers I messed up and resublimate. I noticed when you cured the tumblers using your heat press you did not rotate the tumbler. Typically when doing a full wrap sublimation tumbler I rotate my tumbler and press again. Is that step not needed when curing?
Thanks for your question and comment. I saw many person rotate there tumblers but I've been sublimating tumblers for a years and never had to rotate them. Most ovens have heating elements at the bottom and top so the heat should be disturbed evenly in the oven. I think its all about getting the correct temperature and timing and you will be good. In this case with the polygloss I didn't had to rotate it.
Hi am so glad I saw this video cause I have too tumblers that whare with and try correcting a mistake I use citristrip and now it's stainless steel and I needed to know if I could sublimate on this agan
I have a stainless steel tumbler but it has a powder coating on it. I don't want it to be glossy since it's a matte finish. Is there a product that can be used on this type of surface?
Thanks for your question. I am not 100% sure. In this case, I do understand you like the matte look, but polygloss gives you a glossy finish. I will research and see if there or other products that can possibly work.
Thanks for your question. If you are just looking to coat the PolyGloss onto the black tumbler yes it can but if you are looking to sublimate the black tumbler after it will not show. Let's look at it as an original sublimation hard substrate, the item has to be white or light-colored. The PolyGloss when applied to items gives you the ability to sublimate but those items should be light colors. I hope you understand and let me know if you need more clarity.
Thank you for this video it has been very helpful. One question, how do you get rid of bubbles if the “bucket method” didn’t work? I still have bubbles.
thanks for your question. It sounds like either you may have stired a little to fast or even maybe applied the polygloss a little to hard to the surface but you would have to give me exact details on how you applied it. However, I would advise letting it sit for 10 more minutes then use your mug press with the heat and a nice medium pressure and they should come out. Feel free to reach out to me on IG or Facebook and show me and i can assist more.
Have you ever done a sublimation design around the whole stainless steel bottle without the white color? If so, do you happen to have a picture of it that I can see?
Thanks for your question, No I have not done a complete full wrap. I tried it before and it worked to an extent but it's all about getting the correct measurements. I am still working on trials.
Thanks for your question, they are different, however, some persons use them back and forth to gain different results in different areas. I have a video where I sublimated onto wood using ploygloss and polyacrylic ua-cam.com/video/26qaLQZ0fOw/v-deo.html check it out here and it should give you some more details on how the finish products can work. However, I wouldnt use polyacrylic for bottles or tumblers but only on wood.
Thank you so much for this video!! I have some stainless steel tumblers I had purchased to epoxy but decided I'd rather sublimate. This is great, and I have PolyGloss too! Question--I have a convection oven so when I'm curing my tumbler, should I use parchment paper too or not? Thanks!!
Thanks for your question and your comment. When using the oven you don’t need any paper. Just put the tumbler standing up in the oven. I hope this helps.
Thank you for making this video! I found it quite informative, but I do have a couple questions because I am a total sublimation newbie. 🙂 1. Do you have to apply a sealer after the sublimation process is complete? 2. You showed how sublimation can be done using regular copy paper, did you use special ink or is this possible because of the sublimation coating? 3. If you use sublimation paper and have applied the sublimation coating, can you print your design/image using a regular inkjet printer? OK, that's all. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
Firstly I want to thank you for reaching out and also for asking your questions. As you are new to the sublimation world I want to welcome and congratulate you on this journey. Lets answer all your questions, but before I do I want you to understand that this video is particularly for taking bottles that are not coated for sublimation and making them into sublimation bottles, so I wanted you to understand that part. So in other words if the bottles were sublimation substrate then there would be no need for this process. Now lets answer the questions 1 by 1. 1. For this process in the video, yes you should use a clear premium sealer where you can spray it onto the item after sublimating. However, if the item is one that is an actual sublimation substate then when you are finish sublimating then you do not need to apply a sealer. 2.Yes, I showed an example using copy paper but would recommend sticking with the sublimation paper and yes because I used special ink which is Sublimation Ink and also because the items were coated for sublimation. So in other words both have to work together. If I didnt coat the items then the ink would never work, If I coated the items and not use the sublimation ink it still wouldnt of work so both have to work together as one. 3. Ok so for this last question its a bit tricky and I will explain why and still answer the question. So you asked if you can print your design/image using a regular inkjet printer with sublimation paper and having the sublimating coating applied to the items and to answer that question, it wouldnt work because although the paper maybe sublimation paper and the items are coated, the printer you will be using is inkjet and for sublimation you have to use sublimation ink or a sublimation printer. However, here is the tricky part. Many persons convert there inkjet printers to a sublimation printer where there would purchase an inkjet printer and sublimation ink, install the sublimation ink into the inkjet printer which will then turn it to a sublimation printer and then they just use sublimation paper. I also recommend if you are going to get a printer for sublimation it is best to get an actually sublimation printer for example SureColor F170 which is awesome. I do have an unboxing video on the F170 on my channel. However, its best to get an actual sublimation printer rather than purchasing an inkjet printer to then convert it into an sublimation printer. I know its a lengthy answer but I like to give as much detail and explanation as possible. I hope these answers help you and feel free to ask as many more you want to.
How are the items you made using this coating application holding up? Any fading from the dishwasher or sunlight? Do you think it's worth the time compared with buying already done? Thank you for the video.
Thanks for your question. I always recommend not using or putting any items coated with Polygloss in the dishwasher or the oven as the heat can reactivate the Polygloss. I did a video where I coated a ceramic tile and I left it out for a year and it's still outside to this day since that video and it took on some fading because I have it directly hitting the sunlight every day. However, my mugs and bottles are still fresh and look good but I will say you have to care them. In relation to the comparison of buying ready-done sublimation items or using Polygloss. I will say that sublimation blanks will surely come out great but for those who may be low on funding, they can purchase Polygloss get use cheaper tumblers, mugs, and different items, coat them, and still get great results. So it is worth it. However, it all depends on what you are looking for. Some people are into crafting and then love to use it for wood.
Great question and thanks for asking it. You can allow them to sit for weeks or month after curing and when you are ready to use them just make sure to dust them off and sublimate them.
Thanks for your question and its a very good question. I never tried it but, i can do some test and then a video to guide you. You can also try and see if it works. The only difference is that the colors that are normally on these items are paint. So what i am saying is painted items and ink are two different things. I would still give it a try. Thanks for this question.
@@atprints In my mind I was thinking about laser cut plywood. Like magnets, badges, jewelery etc. So you wouldn't see the yellowish/brownish color of the wood on the white parts of the sublimated design, but it would actually be white. Thank you for your answer
@@atprints Hey, now I saw that you are from the UK. Can I ask where you buy polygloss from? I'm from the EU and can't find it anywhere here. Only from their official site, but shipping from the US would cost me as much as the item.
Thanks for your question. You will get some fading after a long time. I had a bottle where it started to fade after 2 years of consistently using it every day. Otherwise, the colors are still vibrant. Thanks for your support and I hope I answered all your questions.
Thanks for your comment and question. Base on the instructions it does say that it can be done on glass. I have not tried this process as yet but I am actually in the process of doing a video pretty soon on that process. So I will keep everyone up to date.
Thanks for your question, I actually am in the process of creating a video on Aluminium. However, you can use the Polygloss on the material you suggested and it should work fine.
Thanks for your question. I normally set it outside and allow nature and the sun to take car of it or you can place it in the oven and the bubbles will pop. If you use a heat gun you will have to monitor it carefully as apply heat in one area can ruin your project.
Thanks for your question. This is a video I am working on. I tried spray painting and then applying the polygloss. However, when it came to cure the polygloss with the heat then the paint started to come up. So in other words you would have to be careful with the type of paint you use. It could be able to withstand heat.
Hello I want to print on stainless steel and aluminum plates, but I'm afraid that with sublimating the print is easy to scratch off, do you have experience?
Thanks for your statement and I do understand. Kindly take a look at one of my videos where I sublimated a plate here ua-cam.com/video/dneZelb3uj8/v-deo.html I can tell you to date I still have this plate and it's in excellent condition.
Ok last question... hopefully... if the cup is taller than the mug press, do you have to press it twice? So like, press the top of the cup then move it down and press again? Also for the copy paper, I saw another video someone said to use 96 or less brightness. If you go higher it messes up the formula.
In terms of questions feel free to ask me a lot of them lol. I don’t mine and you can even contact me on Facebook or IG and we can chat my Facebook and IG name is @allan21thompson. In relation to the mug been taller than the heating element you have to first decide if you want to cover the entire mug or a section. The mug press that I have came with different heating element sizes so I can sublimate shot glass and up to 17oz. So if your mug press doesn’t have the different element I would advise sticking to putting the image in the middle. Repressing the second part of the image may lead to bleeding. However I have not tried doing half and half on a mug that was taller than the mug press. In terms of the copy paper you are correct. Using 96% or less will work great. But as I mentioned in the video I realize that the sublimation paper still gave me that big quality look and the colors were way brighter. I also tried the copy paper on a ceramic tile and I have a video you can check that out and to be honest the copy paper brings it out a little faded. But I can still work. I hope this helps you 💪 and feel free to reach out to me on IG or Facebook @allan21thompson
Thanks for your question. Polygloss has a glossy finish. However, polygloss is used mainly for items which are not made for sublimation. For example, if you go to the to the supermarket or dollar store and purchase standard mugs, you will not b able to sublimate onto them. However, you can use polygloss, coat those mugs and then sublimate your image onto them. I hope this answer helps.
while you are poly glossing a tumbler and yo are using a apint brush, how do you get rid of the brush stroke streaks as every time i try to do a 20oz tumbler and i get done using the poly gloss and i go to sublimate on it all i see after im done is the paint brush streaks... how do i prevent this?
Thanks for your question. I would advice clipping the edge of the brush first. Also make sure to put on the polygloss thick and move the brush very light over the tumbler. If you put to much pressure on the tumbler when applying the polygloss you will get streaks. So make sure the polygloss is mixed correctly, and when you dip the brush in it, make sure that you put it on thick and gently pass the brush over the tumbler and not put pressure while putting it on. Also keep looking at the tumbler very carefully when apply it and if you see streaks then apply more polygloss but remember gently pass the brush over the tumbler and not heavy pressure. I hope this helps you.
Thanks for your question. If you have bubbles, you put a container over the item when you finish coating it for about 10 mins. The next thing you want to do is make sure to bake it to cure it and by doing so the bubbles should come out. I hope this helps.
Thanks for your question. You can use a silicone brush it will also help. I’ve use both and got great results. With the normal brush if you apply to much pressure then you will most likely end up with streaks so it’s all about amount of pressure you apply with the normal brush but yes the silicone brush can work.
Yes, there are steps for spraying it on but most persons will not have a air compressor or paint gun so I am in the process of using another spray method and then I will release the video once everything works. Spraying can also cause bubbles so you have to be very careful.
Hello, Did you use the PolyGloss over a regular painted stainless steel tumbler? I have some I want to spray paint white and then put the image on over, but I want to know if it will work over spray paint before purchasing? Also what is A-sub paper? I'm new at this?
Thanks for reaching out and thanks for your question. I am happy you asked this question. I actually was doing a video on old bottles and tumblers and trying the process of spray painting them they applying the polygloss to see if it would work. However, the problem is the spray paint. What I mean is you would have to use a particular type of paint that can absorb heat and the reason for this is normal spray paint will paint the bottle or tumbler however, after allowing that paint to dry you have to coat the tumbler or bottle with the polygloss and allow it to cure in an oven. Now when you start the curing process or should I say when I was testing and was to the curing stage. What I realize is that the paint started to bubble when it was curing so this causes a problem. I believe that a certain type of heat paint may have to be use. The type of paper I used is A_SUB Paper and this is a special paper that is used exclusively in sublimation printing and a special coating is added to the paper holds the dye sublimation inks. So at this moment I am in the process of still doing testing on different spray paint and heat paints so i can do a video on it. I know this was a long answer but I hope it helped and feel free to reach out to me on Instagram or Facebook @allan21thompson or you can find the links in the description of the video.
Tqsm good video, I have one question tho. Like in india an alternate product is available, which comes with catalyst as well as reducer. I didnt see you using this reducer. Can i just skip it?
Thanks very much for your question. You can actually purchase the product directly from the company and it will be shipped to you. Here is the link you can use - bit.ly/3CYZqu1. If you still want to use amazon here is the link - amzn.to/3XsfZJR but you will get more options if you use the first link. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your question. It’s recommended that you don’t use it in the dishwasher as the heat can activate the polygloss. So the same would go for the microwave. If possible once you used the polygloss wash it by hand and if you do use a dishwasher make sure that there isn’t much heat going to the mug or item which polygloss was used on.
This is a good question. I actually was doing this process of painting and then applying the Polygloss after, however what i realize is that when it came to the curing of the bottle or tumbler the paint started to peel up. I am still in the process of testing different spray paints and heat paints to see what works best. Once i get it, i will create a tutorial video for everyone.
@@atprints I just got my order of poly gloss, I’m not sure if you know (I emailed the company but haven’t heard back), it says it should be sealed. How do you seal yours? I use Crystalac on other cups, do you know if that can be used?
@@makaylavaughn2479 Thanks for your question. There are certain items you can seal for example wood or even a ceramic tile but I would not use any other chemicals on mugs or even plates to seal them. The Polygloss actually has its own gloss and seal within the chemicals. I hope this helps.
I am using polygloss on ceramic tiles does any know what we are supposed to do if we get bits of hair( be it pet or human or from the paint brush) and or fuzz on the tile before the polygloss fully dried? I try to pick it off but some I have had to pull to the edge from the center to get it off. Then I have smear marks.
Thanks for this question. In this case you will have to try to get the hair off and if it leaves a smug or smear marks and its in the process of drying, it would be best if you will have to mix another set of polygloss and coat the area
Vital question for ya. When it comes to sublimation I'm pretty new at it. I've been using HTV for years but I bought the Dyepress PolyGloss for hard surfaces however, I can't find any info on a certain subject which is, using the Dyepress PolyGloss over high heat spray paint such as for tumblers? Your videos are amazing so I thought you'd be the best one to ask about the subject.
Thanks for this amazing question. There is so much I can say on this topic but I will keep it short and release a video on that process. What I can tell you is that I’ve been working in the background using heat spray paint and the polygloss and what I would say is that the paint goes on well then after fully dries the polygloss does also but the issues comes when you have to cure the tumbler. Once you put that in the oven to cure then the spray paint starts to bubble up and come off. I believe it can work but we will have to allow the tumbler to cure in stages so the spray paint would not be affected. I’m in the process of doing more videos with the polygloss with spray paint and also using a spray gun. I hope I was able to answer you question to a point.
@@atprints You answered it perfectly. I'm glad to see you had already thought if the idea. The way you explain things in your videos are truly amazing. You're so clear and thorough. @@midnightrider9904 thank you so much for your comment. I really do appreciate the words and encouragement. I love to give full details and believe nothing should be left out. is Polygloss safe to use in home condition , does it have bad or harmful odder. what kind of precautions one should fallow to work with. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your question. The polygloss doesn’t have a strong smell but if you allergies I would advise using a mask. I would also advise if you have a well ventilated area to use it then do so. In relation to using on home conditions. It is food safe and this is coming from the manufacturers. However, I always advise that if you are using it on a plate to not eat out of it although it’s food safe. I think it’s better to use it as an ornament. Mugs are different so you can use them. But at the end of the day the decision lies on you. Once again the product is food safe but when it comes to the plates I always recommend using as an ornament. Feel free to ask me any more questions if you have any and I hope this answer helps.
This is an excellent and brilliant idea but my concern would be: 1: think about how much Polygloss you would have to use to do this. For example you might have to use a bucket or small container to mix a lot of Polygloss, then you can end up wasting a lot of the Polygloss. 2. You would have to be on the watch out for excess running of the polygloss. As you would know when you dip the mug, tumbler etc then set it on your table or work station of course some of that Polygloss or alot will be running down. I am not saying that your method cannot work because I do believe it can work and it sounds exciting. Another possible way you can try is coating the items like how some persons would do with epoxy. I am not sure if you ever tried that process so i will explain. 1. You can get a Cup Turner for Crafting, stick you tumbler on it 2. Put something to catch the extra polygloss that will leak onto the table or workstation and gentle pour the ploygloss onto the item as it spins and use your finger with plastic gloves and coat it 3. Leave it spinning for a bit so it can settle in, then you would follow the other methods to cure the item. I really hope this answer give some clarity and help you.
No I have never tried this method but using the tumbler holder/spinner and coat using hands with glove on sounds like a great one, so I will definitely test that out, thank you! And yes I want to avoid wasting the polygloss too, whilst trying to get an even coating and avoid drip marks. It's all trial and error until you find what works for you. Thanks again!

How did it turn out?
@@olgalambeth6330 so weird. Because once you Sublimate on one side, it will not take on the other. I'm waiting to call the company (DyePress Poly) and see what advice they can give me.

Hello, what kind of brush did you use to put the poly on? Also did you get alot of bubbles?
Can you use polyacrylic to sublimate on stainless steel?
Thanks for your question. I never tried it before but I wouldn't use it for stainless steel but more use it for wood. To me, polyacrylic is mostly made for wood so I am not sure how it will stand up to stainless steel and the heat when sublimating.
I hope this answer helps.

Can you use infusible ink after polygloss?
Hi, and thanks for your question. I do believe that there is a possibility that it can work. You will have to monitor the temperature and pressure if you will be using a mug press.
Thanks for the video. Could this same method be used on shot glasses?
Thanks for your question. Yes please, this method can be used on shot glasses.
I am happy that this video could help in some way. Just take your time and it will all come together.
I will research and see if there or other products that can possibly work.
hi. great video. can this polygloss be used on a black tumbler?
Is ploy gloss and polycrylic and polyurethane the same… or do all of these work the came???
Thanks for your question, they are different, however, some persons use them back and forth to gain different results in different areas. I have a video where I sublimated onto wood using ploygloss and polyacrylic ua-cam.com/video/26qaLQZ0fOw/v-deo.html check it out here and it should give you some more details on how the finish products can work. However, I wouldnt use polyacrylic for bottles or tumblers but only on wood.
Allan great video. How you clean the brush? Any brush i have used has be damaged.
Thanks very much for your comment and support. I normally use water and soak it.
What kind of brushes work best and do you recommend use them?
Thanks very much for your comment. You can use a small or medium size paintbrush. Here is an example of one on Amazon 👉amzn.to/3uCx0Hb
Can you give your tumbler a second coat
Yes you can give a second coat.
I purchased mine from dye presss they didn’t give me the catalyst what should I do
Thanks for your question.
If you are sure they did not give you it, then you need to contact them and let them know.
Do you have to use the tumbler right away after coating and curing or can you do batches and let them sit for weeks/months?
Great question and thanks for asking it.
You can allow them to sit for weeks or month after curing and when you are ready to use them just make sure to dust them off and sublimate them.
Perfect! Thank you
Can you add some type of white pigment or white ink to the polygloss to give it a white color when applying to darker items?
Thanks for your question and its a very good question. I never tried it but, i can do some test and then a video to guide you.
You can also try and see if it works. The only difference is that the colors that are normally on these items are paint. So what i am saying is painted items and ink are two different things.
I would still give it a try.
Thanks for this question.

Can you use a heat gun to eliminate the bubbles?
Thanks for your question. I normally set it outside and allow nature and the sun to take car of it or you can place it in the oven and the bubbles will pop. If you use a heat gun you will have to monitor it carefully as apply heat in one area can ruin your project.
Can I spray paint my tumbler first and then use the poly gloss?
Is polygloss just meant for making items glossier? Would I still need to use laminate sheets if I used this on other metals?
Thanks for your question.
Polygloss has a glossy finish. However, polygloss is used mainly for items which are not made for sublimation. For example, if you go to the to the supermarket or dollar store and purchase standard mugs, you will not b able to sublimate onto them. However, you can use polygloss, coat those mugs and then sublimate your image onto them.
I hope this answer helps.
@@atprints Thank you for clarifying!
@@TheMendez2 you are welcome
while you are poly glossing a tumbler and yo are using a apint brush, how do you get rid of the brush stroke streaks as every time i try to do a 20oz tumbler and i get done using the poly gloss and i go to sublimate on it all i see after im done is the paint brush streaks... how do i prevent this?
What do you do if they are bubbles
Thanks for your question. If you have bubbles, you put a container over the item when you finish coating it for about 10 mins. The next thing you want to do is make sure to bake it to cure it and by doing so the bubbles should come out.
I hope this helps.
you are using a stiff type brush. Wont this leave streaks instead of using a silicone brush
Thanks for your question. You can use a silicone brush it will also help. I’ve use both and got great results. With the normal brush if you apply to much pressure then you will most likely end up with streaks so it’s all about amount of pressure you apply with the normal brush but yes the silicone brush can work.
Can you spray it on?
@@shivkr205 hi, in this case the Polygloss came with the catalyst. No reduced is needed.

Can you put this on a metal saw blade and sublimate on the blade?
@@tammieford4975 yes of course you can. If you do please send me a picture so I can see the finished product.
Is this dishwasher safe? In the case of glass and ceramic, is microwave safe? Thanks!
Is the Dyepress Catalyst Necessary?
Yes it is important and necessary and it’s apart of the package.
Where is the link to purchase the mixture for making a stainless steel tumbler into one you can sublimate? I have look and can’t find it.
Thanks for your question. The link is in the description. Here is it also - bit.ly/3CYZqu1
If I were to spray paint a stainless steel cup before doing this, do you know if I would get the same result?
I hope this helps.
after sublimating on bottle is it washable to stay print for longer time.?
Yes after sublimating and it cools you can wash it but don’t put it in the dishwasher.
I hope I was able to answer you question to a point.

is Polygloss safe to use in home condition , does it have bad or harmful odder. what kind of precautions one should fallow to work with.

@@jordanlotus188 you are most welcome.
Thank you for making this video, very helpful. Would dipping mugs, tumblers into the polygloss work the same as when it's brushed on?
This is an excellent and brilliant idea but my concern would be:
1: think about how much Polygloss you would have to use to do this.
1. You can get a Cup Turner for Crafting, stick you tumbler on it
2. Put something to catch the extra polygloss that will leak onto the table or workstation and gentle pour the ploygloss onto the item as it spins and use your finger with plastic gloves and coat it

Hello, have you ever tried the polyurethane spray? Wondering if it would work. I have some small metal plaques that I need to sublimate on and spray would be so much faster. Thank you!
Thanks for your question l. Unfortunately l, I never used polyurethane before so I really can’t say how it works. Very sorry I can’t help.
@@atprints No worries. Thanks
Which ink used sublimation ink or other inks
Hi, I am using sublimation inks. You can find the link for the inks in the description.
How long did your photo stay on your cup did it wash off after a few washes?
Thanks for your question. I still have my image on my cup to this day. It holds up really well once you follow the steps correct and make sure to seal it after.
@@atprints Do you have a video on what you used to seal it and how you did it.
@@MrShawnee1 Hi, I do not have a specfic video only showing the sealing process. However, in one of my other videos coating tumblers and re sublimating them I showed the process. Here is the video link ua-cam.com/video/NlaVpag3qIA/v-deo.html and you can look at 38:18 and you will see how I coat the tumblers.
how much time coating needed ie layers?
When coating allow 10 mins for it to dry first allow any bubbles to pop and then cure in an oven or mug press. The times vary.
Wonderful video! Thanks :) can I use poly t plus this way? Is it different? If so how so? Just curious
Thanks for your question and comment. Poly t plus is a bit different as it is used for garments such as shirts so the process will be a bit different.
I have an upcoming video on how to use poly t plus so make sure to stay tune on this channel.
Hope this answer helps
Can you use an air fryer to cure the tumbler
Hi, I am honestly not sure if that can work. If it operates like an oven or convection oven then it should work but make sure to monitor it so it wouldn’t burn.
Hey can this be use on cotton shirts
Sorry you can’t use it on t-shirts. However, if you click on the link in the description for polygloss it will take you to the website where you can order ploytplus which can work on cotton
Ok thanks so much
@@feayaneeclinecline4335 you are welcome.
Do you wrap it up with parchment paper to put it in the oven also can I use shrink wrap for the stainless steel tumbler so I can put it in the oven
Thanks for your question. When your are curing it in the mug press you can use parchment paper. When you are curing it in the oven you don’t need to use shrink wrap.

Can you use this method on aluminum to create blanks?
Yes please you can use this method on aluminum to create your own blanks.
@@atprints thank you!!!
does the polycoating have foul smell? and if there is it strong?
Thanks for your question. The Polygloss doesn’t have a strong smell but it’s always advise that you wear a mask or something over your nose if you have allergies.
Hope this helps.
@@atprints one more thing Allan, I look for polygloss, I found one that is used for cars is that the same product that I can use for mugs and plate?
@@spottrader5406 I am not sure of polycoating. But the product I am using in the video is polygloss. I would have to research the polycoating and take a look to see if it can work.
@@atprints its the same name it says polygloss! but when I asked the supplier he says its use for cars! I think that is the same polygloss that you are using! thats why I asked if that has a foul or strong smell! and if that will not be poisonous if you use it for plate!
@@spottrader5406 So I did some more research and the item you are refering to seems to be Polygloss Automotive Polyurethane System which is used for Cars.
However, the one that i am using was not made for cars it was made for the purpose of coating on to items and then sublimating afterwards. So they are both different.

What are those two solutions called and where can they be bought? Thank you!
Thanks for your question. The name of the solutions are Polygloss and Catalyst. The link is also in the description of the video. You can purchase it here bit.ly/3CYZqu1.
Does the poly gloss ever peel or wipe off. Thanks
Once applied and cured properly it will stay on. On the other hand if it is not applied and cured properly then you could have a situation where it could peel.
