Robert Reed, yet another case of a young, talented and very beautiful man who was unable to experience his sexuality in freedom due to the prejudices of the society in which we live.
He feared that he would be rejected because of his status as a gay man and that he would not be able to continue embodying a conventional husband and father of a family.
If society were aware of the vast number of men married to women and fathers of one or more children who are actually gay and having sex with men outside of marriage, it would be more shocked than they can imagine.
Robert Reed liked intimacy with other gentlemen like himself, rather than ladies.
