My opinion is that Subnautica is the superior game BUT it doesn't have co-op (not officially, there's a mod though). So being able to play a similar experience but with friends is what makes this fun for me! I do also love the actual terraforming progression, something unique to this game. It's really satisfying to see that slow progression!

Terraforming Mars is one of my favorite board games! That's one of the reasons I bought Planet Crafter. Although I wasn't happy with the lack luster components that it came with compared to other board games. I went all in on their Kickstarter project to get the big box set with all the really nice components for it. If you like this game, be sure to check out the video game Eco and it's currently on Steam sale until April 27th. It's very similar to Minecraft in it's style but it's a full on ecology simulation style game that would be perfect for you and your partner to play as well as to use for videos on your channel. It's meant to be a multiplayer game but you can play it solo or with a friend as well if you pick the no collaboration option. You start off like Minecraft with simple tools and building a home, but you need to manage how you pollute the environment and how you consume animals and plants so you don't bring them to extinction, so there is farming as well as to come animal breeding. You play across a large planet and you can create cities and governments with laws. It gets pretty advanced to even having vehicles. There is so much to unlock!!! The main game has a meteor that's going to crash into your planet within 30 real life days and you have to build your society up to being able to craft lasers to destroy it in time. If you want a peaceful option like me, you can disable this end game condition to learn the game without stress of a time constraint. I hope you can check it out as it would make a wonderful video!

I like the concept of the game, it's the kind of concept I prefer the most no matter the genre of the game (especially with city builder/strategy games). But I hate that there's only one map, and it's not randomly generated. Once you've finished the game once, it's not interesting because you can rush it.
Not gonna lie, after seeing people like ImKibitz and Josh from Let's Game It Out play this game, watching someone play it "normally" (for lack of a better word) is kind of weird. Great video, though.
Make sure to move your main base up to the rock with another rock on it ....that whole starting area gets filled water once you get to lake level or you will be playing Subnautica 😂
That base is so much bigger than my own. I just have 4 of those habs in a square and another floor on top of that. For a long time it was pretty cramped.
sorry but the fact the shuttle's door kept open while you recovered oxygen was so irritating 😂

There is a bit of a story, told through notes left as you discover the world :) It's not the game's strong point in my opinion but it is fun.
