  • A movement that started as something pure has now become TOXIC unfortunately. Of course it’s not everyone in the community that is toxic but it’s an alarming amount of these people and we need to CUT IT OUT. Let people do what they want with THEIR OWN HAIR 🙂.

I think the natural hair bullies really want to relax or telex their hair that's why they r so hard on people who go back to relaxers.

I'm currently natural, but I grew up relaxed. And even though I had bad experiences with it and will never go back (I cut off my natural hair when it became too much work), I would love to see more people post videos about maintaining and taking care of relaxed/permed/texturized hair. My mom is relaxed and she also dyes her hair and when I reccomended deep conditioning to her she told me her hair has never felt better. Also styling products such as light leave-ins or oils can also help with breakage (I had a lot of split ends when relaxed). And styles like wet roller sets really help promote growth and add volume for people who want that.

The only way a person can be closer to God is if they repent of their sins except Jesus and as their Lord and savior and become sanctified filled with the holy Spirit, going back to natural hair doesn't make you closer to God because God is more concerned about your soul not rather your hair is natural or relaxed because your natural hair or your relaxed hair is not what's going to get you in heaven and get you closer to God so people need to stop trying to make people feel guilty because they relax their hair and use God trying to say they are not closer to God just because their hair is relaxed

Omg God bless you for saying this. I've recently begun my spiritual journey being closer to God and I thought becoming natural(I'm transitioning) would be a good idea to be a part of my journey. But I am at a place now where that doesn't matter AS much.

My perspective on this black hair culture is as long as black women are doing the big chopping! wearing twist outs! doing wash and goes! afro puffs! the black community is satisfied with that's, because they think that just because you are a black woman those are the only hairstyles that you are required to wear in this world, but who made them God over our hair where is it written in the Bible or the bylaws of this world that American woman or any other woman from a different race can't relax her hair because if a African-American woman that has 4B or4C hair the black hair community automatically assume that they have to jump on one of these bandwagons and join the black community culture because now all of a sudden you have all of these bandwagons that the black cultures are hopping on just so they will not get degraded or mistreated because they want to relax their hair, you have the big chop bandwagon! the twist out the bandwagon! the wash and go bandwagon! the locs bandwagon! because if a black woman decides to relax her hair she's not considered as a black woman she's going against her own race I'm just curious how many of these hypocrites that doesn't want to relax their hair flat iron their hair or get the Brazilian hair straightening system for their hair once in awhile? it's still the same results you're changing your hair pattern and your hair texture to look a certain way, how many of these hypocrites if they were born with a certain hair color dyed their hair or rinse their hair to a different color, but yet they criticize women that want to relax their hair

Im natrual and was looking to relax for similar reasons as far as maintainance goes as its now getting longer and its yes very expensive but this vedio is like a hate video. you are genralizing a whole community for what some are doing. sooooo much good for black ppl have opened up through this movement although it still has a long way to go. but this sounds like a civil hair war...natural vs relax. look now i can see a movie where a black woman has 4c hair and young girls are bullied less and less for it. i get your issues i really do but its like u are advocating for more pple to relax...like u said choice and thats what should be promoted and thats what i believe the natural hair community has given All of us. i am so thankful for it I (coming from someone who has been belittled/like the americans say bullied for my hair )......not typing angryly just concerned

Hi nikita, I understand your concern and I understand how you feel listening to my opinions about a community you care about and feel like has done so much good, this video is intended to make known what displeases me about the natural hair community, I have things that I liked as well but this wasn't that type of video. Thank you for watching and for your honest feedback.
