    Hi darling I just watched your video from two years ago explaining why you would never do knotless braids again I’ve got a couple of thoughts about that First of all there was a potential for you to lose your edges because on the knotless braids too small second of all she probably done them too tight on your edges alertable you should’ve advocated for yourself and the hair on your head but the advice I would really give you to try and grow them back is Trai my Rosemary growth oil or some peppermint oil mixed with a carrier oil like extra virgin olive oil for her do your scalp massages Eat good healthy food with lots of vegetables and protein and some sweet potato brown rice brown pasta And other Other foods like that continue doing daily activity don’t stress too much Take some vitamins but check with your doctor what you are deficient in first drink lots of water make your Fruit smoothies or eat fruit or do both incorporate some MSM, vitamin C for better absorption and you may know the rest over what you need to do to grow those edges back sick and healthy like you want them.

    Braids have stressed my hair and scalp. I LOVED the look but the aftermath and the takedown have put them on my “never again” list. I will probably have to resort to TWA to restart my growth and strengthening. 😢. But my braids looked GREAT.

    NATURAL is how my hair grows out of my head without any chemicals. There is nothing wrong with natural or relaxed, it’s a choice. I enjoyed being natural and I thought my hair was beautiful. I enjoyed being relaxed and both take care and routine to keep them healthy. Either can be convenient it depends on how you choose to wear it. We shouldn’t get in the habit of judging each other or making statements of which is better. Your hair is beautiful natural and relaxed. One is more convenient for you and you like it better so power to you. It’s ok to say natural wasn’t for you.

    Never had this happen to me before right now. Just took out the last of my braids and the edges with them like the whole perimeter, the very back of my head and deep into the front sides are freaking gone. I big chopped in May and it's grown so much and now this happens. Really feeling stupid right now because it was braided way too tight and had bumps but I kept being told that was normal. 😭😭

    • @ValerieAdah

    • @jessicab331
      @jessicab331 Рік тому

      I big chopped last May too!!! Literally shaved it off!!! But it’s Senegalese twists for me!!! I keep an undercut so I don’t have that issue. But some lemonades then the twists got me like am I about to have to shave this 💩 off AGAIN?! I don’t think the lengths of them are helping. These twists have snatched my edges worse than any knotted box braids or micro have EVER done. I’m sure I’ll cry wen I take these out… the twisting method they use to start the twists are brutal and she got every little single stand on my hairline in there. Luckily knotless don’t fuqq me up. 🤦🏾‍♀️

      After realizing the absurdity of how long my wash days are after hearing myself say it out loud to my therapist, I am definitely considering going back to relaxers after 12 years being natural. I have similar length and thickness to her. There’s so many more important things I can be doing with the hours I spend detangling, washing my hair in sections (still tangles) detangling AGAIN, deep conditioning, blow drying and plaiting my hair. My relaxed hair was long too even without me knowing what I know now about hair care.

    Listen for course her hair types I think that a relaxer done by a professional a relaxer done by a professional is actually more beneficial I have been natural for 5 years my mother wears a relaxer and a wrap for the last 5 years as well and her hair is longer than mine my hair is not short or damaged by the way but her hair is longer than mine she has her edges my edges are thinning out from these protective hairstyles my hair is growing though it is thick and strong but I can't wear it the way she wears hers and her style is knows how to treat her hair when she begins to see that it's over processing with the chemical she can already tell by looking at the hair strands went to hold off on the heat went to hold off on a relaxer so if you get somebody to know what they doing you could wear your hair however you want really but I'm just looking at it from the 4C for B hair type it may be better to go to a professional and relax it do not let anybody who's not a professional put a chemical in your hair
