I thank u to show real ramayan to hindus . They have been arrogant on this topic as it is close to their emotions. Uttarakhand is later added by the pandits .
What a joy to listen to this daily. Forever in your gratitude for sharing it in such a profound manner. It's now one of my goals to also read through the entire Valmiki's Ramanaya🙏
When I was reading the Valmiki Ramayan, I have also noted some contradictions. Instance 1 : Story of Ahalya and Indra References : Bal Kanda - Sarg 48 Uttar Kanda - Sarg 30 Instance 2 : Curse on Ravan for r*pe References : Yudhdha Kand - Sarg 13 - ( Curse by Brahma, R*pe of Punjikasthala) Uttar Kaand - Sarg 26 - ( Curse by Nal Kubera, R*pe of Rambha) If Ravan was already cursed in either case, he couldn't have done it later. But how are there two separate instances of same curse? Also, the story of Hanuman ji is different. The instance where he was a child and jumped to get the fruit (Sun).
Dear Yashodeep sir, so now after the end of Yuddha Kand is this now the end of 21 notes narration of entire Vālmiki Rāmāyaṇa like the way for all the seasons of all the kands? So now on we will only see video animation of this season 7 and the rest all season left for Hindi language. Am I guessing this right? And thank you sir for this long journey of presenting Vālmiki Rāmāyaṇa in our mind, life as it is raw and real. And adding immense values in us which I didn't ever expected for whatever change it brought to me entirely as a whole. । I literally have shortage words to thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Warm regards 🙏 Jai Sri Rāma 🏹🙏🙏🙏 यावत् स्थास्यन्ति गिरयस्सरितश्च महीतले । तावद्रामायणकथा लोकेषु प्रचरिष्यति ।। As long as the mountains and rivers exist on this earth, the story of Rāmāyaṇa will prevail among the people.
I always wondered about it, indeed my SriRam would never do those mentioned in uttara kanda, it is most likely added by humans seeking superiority over others.
as people might think certain writings may be mis aligned or more likely misunderstood. uttarkhand is part of this epic story. if you have doubts, start with the count of sargas, and then read about Gayathri Ramayan and how with uttar khand it won't make sense
Even in Vyas Mahabharat, when Hanuman ji meets Bheem and tells Ramayan, the story is given only up to the Yudhdha Kaand. Also, there is more to add in the story of Shambhuk, it was indeed an act of crime (considering the penal code of Treta Yug), so this instance does not prove the contradictory nature of Uttar Kaand.
Thank you for this and agree with your observations and compilation of contradictions - however Sri Ram’s life must have continued after the Yuddha? What happened then? Even Kalidas Raghuvamsha (written much later) follows the same story of Uttarkhand but properly continues Sri Rama’s lineage with other Ikshvaku kings. Maybe Valmiki did not write it - but obviously Sri Ram lived on - and it seems unlikely that the main story would be false? (Certain incidents maybe inaccurate however). However Ravan getting defeated is something I can easily accept. After all he kidnapped Sita behind Rama’s back. Ravan knew he could not defeat Rama - in the same way there could have been just an few other warriors capable of defeating Ravan.
I think in earlier summary, there was hint that Valmiki actually written the 7 Kandams, but I agree with you that the version of Uttra Kandam we now have is completely out of sync with other Kandams, we seriously need to fund lots of researchers in India to do research on this kind of stuff.
Will you make more detailed video about Jatayu ? You said he was a Bird costumed man but later in search of sita Valmiki said jatayu and his brother were flying high. if it was poetic then what it means ?
1:51 here king Arjun refers to Kartavirya sahstrabahu Arjun who was killed by Bhagwan Parshuram ji as a punishment for kidnapping the cow of Maharshi jamdagni

But in the bala kandam in 4th sarga verse 2, its clearly written uttarkand is the epilogue in black and white. Mention of prince luv and kush is also there. And about reference from mahabharat, when markandeya muni narrates ramayanam to yudhishthir, he includes history of ravan and his atrocities which we find in the uttar ramayan not in the first six books. If you take cross reference, how would that be possible? You've to say then parts of bala kanda and mahabharat too are interpolated in that sense. While i agree with some of your points that ravan wasn't that type of warrior mentioned in the earlier books, i think its our lacking of understanding the cause of the events that happened like sita parityag, shambuk vadh etc. and thats why we draw such conclusions before deeply reading. But your points are accurate too. The writing style is different perhaps because in the first six parts, valmiki himself wasn't included as an integral character and told as a story format while here, he was seeing with his eyes what was happening and after the end if the six books, he might have wrote it. I dont know im not satisfied with either way but if we take that verse from balakand, how can one deny it? @21Notes
True! That's what I too think. I would like to specify at this point that valmiki himself wrote in Balkanda, sarga 4, Shloka 2 that the entire ramayan consist of 24000 verses divided in 6 kandas along with uttarkanda or epilogue. There are also many instances from puranas which discuss about the events of uttarkanda. In Mahabharata which is also an Itihas, the story told by Markandeya rishi includes parts of Uttarakaand. Valmiki himself mentioned the names of this epic as Ramayan, paulatsya vadhanam (killing of ravan) and sitaas chirtam mahat (history of sitas charachter) now tell me if its history of Sita character then would valmiki ignore the events that are one of the major incidents in a women's life that is becoming a queen and her reign and becoming a mother? The fact is people interpret uttarkand as unauthentic because the imagery presented to them through 6 kandas defies the standards that they themselves set up. Rather than trying to understand the essence behind the major events of uttarakhand and understand the message and significance of it they simply discard it because it doesn't fit to their intellect. Thats hypocritc behaviour. One should try to understand the essence behind the events of uttarakhand rather than simply discrading it because if it's the case then you are discrading the entire Ramayan itself by looking at it with selective eye. Because it's clearly mentioned in balakanda sarga 4 shloka 2 about uttarkand. That's ignorant of people to say uttarkand is not authentic. The difference in the writing style might be because of the reason that first the 6 kandas of ramayan was composed by valmiki on Ram's coronation hence concluded with that they lived happily ever after type of implication because that is what was expected from ram rajya but as ram and sita's life moved forward the major events mentioned in uttarakhand took place which was important to tell. So valmiki might have later written the uttarkanda and added to the Ramayan as an ammendum. Hope people understand this. Jai siya Ram 🙏❤️
Yes, I believe it is important to address these points you have mentioned. It's not as simple as some people like to put it, although there are certain contradictions in the Uttara Kanda do to previous narrations in the epic, it still undeniably contains vital information for a complete understand of the story, such as the birth of Lava and Kusha and the completion of Sita's arc.
