I am not a nurse, I work for the Red Cross and have to take Blood Pressure several times a day. I have bothe the Bjorn-Hall and the Littmann Classic iii. I do wear my stethoscope around my neck and maybe because I am only doing blood pressures and don’t do all the other stuff like listening to lungs and heart, ( I do annoy my dogs listening to their breaths and stomach sounds lol) but, I honestly can’t tell the difference between the two, at least not enough to say one is better than the other. The Bjorn-Hall packaging was really awesome and I love the round accessories case and the personal touch of the “Thank You” card and email from Nurse Jenny. I know my opinion or review doesn’t carry much weight, but if you have ever donated blood at a blood drive you know it is a pretty noisy place. We always have music playing and there is just a lot of noise and stuff, which is why a good quality stethoscope is important, that is why I have two, because I just can’t get accurate BP’s without a good one. I am very pleased with both my Littmann Classic iii and my Bjorn-Hall.
I absolutely love it! I don't think you'll be disappointed! I've used the littmann classic III for 8 years and I'm not going back. I will always use a Bjorn now.
I really like that it comes with white color and pretty portable case for the earpieces. However, same as what MK commented up there, I feel like this review is biased somehow.
Hey Abigail, totally understand. You can't trust anything face value. Do your own research and let me know what you find. Thanks again for your comment, Nurse Jenny
Nurse Jenny hey there, it’s just a comment based on what I feel on this specific video, not the product of yours. Hope you take no offense. I’ve did my research and I really appreciate you providing a stethoscope that has some extra length to avoid straining of back muscles. Not to mention the cases for stethoscope and earpieces is wonderful. But I’ve also found some comments that says the non-sticky tube makes it fells easily and that the acoustic weren’t that clear (maybe they got the lemon). That’s why I got hesitant to purchase my third stethoscope, so I search up for some reviews and encountered this video.
Abs no worries 😉 at all. Thanks for your feedback. If in the future you want to try Björn Hall and comment here, let me know. All the best Nurse Jenny 😉👌
Very tempting to buy But they only have 3 colours Wonder will they come out with more colours I been eyeing the rainbow black classic iii Now when watching your video Make me think 😄 😭 they dont ship to where i am
I think the video was interesting. I am considering the Bjorn Hall stethoscope, I am very torn because I have always used the littmann brand (even though you kinda slammed them on this review) and I haven't heard much about the Bjorn Hall. However, especially now in the wake of Covid 19 that extra 2 inches of space you get with the Bjorn Hall stethoscope is crucial.
Hi Candice Phipps! 👋 you’re so right, the extra length is really beneficial right now and it saves your back too! And on the plus side, if you don’t like the extra length, you can always shorten it! Björn Hall was created by me just over a year ago and as a Nurse myself, I really wanted to create something that would make any nurse proud to wear around their neck 😍 I hope you’re staying safe 🙌🙏☺️
@@NurseJenny I feel like the extra length is a personal preference. I personally like the length of the Littmann, however I know nurses who like the longer length. I find I'm able to hear a bit better with the shorter length, maybe it's true maybe not but it's how I've always had my Stethoscope
Hi Candice! Did you end up ordering a Bjorn hall? I would love to hear what you think works better for you, bjorn or littmann! My intention was not to "slam" littmann, I simply wanted to show the differences and the pros and cons of each and also to show which one worked best for me.
@@NurseJenny Hi nurse Jenny! I am really interested in one of white stethoscopes. I read your comment about how you can shorten it? How do we go about that? Thanks!
I agree with a previous comment. It seems to be very very biased. What is your background in the nursing field? I would be interested to know which departments you work or have worked in? You listed the acoustics last, which is what I am most interested in. But you didn’t mention what actually made the difference? Other than the “ear piece” What the differences in sound actually were. I know you mentioned you weren’t paid, but I don’t believe that considering you had a discount code affiliate link. I’m always open to new and better products, which brought me here for the reviews. I swear by my Littmann.
Hi Ryan! I have a background in med-surg nursing, a background in ER nursing, along with clinic nursing, and medical missions. The ear piece and how it fits is what made the acoustics different for me. It fit more snuggly in my ear allowing it to block out other sounds. I am not paid. I truly believe in this product. I have always had a Littmann but it never fit in my ears very well, which this other stethoscope did and felt much better. My review was not sponsored or paid... which you can believe or not believe. I did receive a discount code however I am upfront with all companies when reviewing their products that they are honest reviews and I do not want compensation. Companies choose to give me the discount code even before I post my review. Littmann is great and great for a lot of people but personally it was not for me.
@@Katherine_Ann thanks for your insight. I wasnt trying to be rude to you at all. I know you can't always tell that from comments but it wasnt my intention. I didn't mean to make it seem like you were lying. I was just saying more often than not affiliate links mean an affiliation with the company.
Whilst watching this I am not completely convinced I’m really comfortable with my master cardiology and don’t want to risk paying for a new one considering my master cardiology cost a lot. The littmann design looks better from what I can tell
Conservative Weekly - The Björn Hall Stockholm series is more comparable to the Littmann Classic III. It’s not a Cardiology stethoscope. That’s a different League of scope due to the dual lumen tubing. Anyway do your own research, there are plenty of reviews on Amazon .com to make your own decision. Hope that helps 👍
100% agree conservative weekly, the master Cardiology is a great Cardiology scope. Heavy but performs well. If I had to use a cardiology stethoscope right now (which I don’t need to listen to heart sounds) I would use the Littmann Cardiology IV, for the only practical reason it has the pediatric side as well. Everyone’s nursing journey is different from each other which we need to select the right tool for the right job. Thanks for your input 😊👍
@@airwolfcentral169 That's a great question! The "Tuneable" diaphragm technology is a term that Littmann patented in the mid 80's. As far as I can tell, you could achieve different sound frequencies by applying more or less pressure to any quality stethoscope with good sealing diaphragms. Because that's all it is, the user applying more or less pressure. So no I can't say that Björn Hall has 'tunable' diaphragms but you can certainly apply different pressures.
@@NurseJenny Thats really interesting when you actually think about it. I am also interested in buying ear tips form your website. are they compatible with littmann stethoscopes because i have heard they are pretty great and would love to demo them. I do think your product has a lot of potential and if you could design a dual lumen cardiology scope it would be a Hit. will consider a purchase in the future and review it and send it back to you so you can do a giveaway. Love your videos
@@Katherine_Ann i see that! good for her, i love to see it! i am probably gonna get a littmann, just cause i have to buy my stethoscope soon for school, but maybe one day i can nab a bjorn.
