wow I learned a new and wonderful thing today. I've always wondered how news presenters and politicians deliver their speech perfectly. Now i finally knew how. Thank you very much for this amazing vedio
All this time, I thought it's like a tinted glass to shield the eyes from too much lights on the stage. I also one thought it's a teleprompter but it appears to be just only a transparent glass so there's no way it can reflect.
it's like a head up display in cars.. as you can watch the road and your speedometer the same time.. you can read the text and watch people as if you were reading at the same depth
Hi there! I simply would like to give a huge thumbs up for the great info you could have here on this post. I will likely be coming back to your vid for more soon.
Hi,very interesting. What teleprompter App is required for Arabic and Urdu languages. In these languages we write from right side to left side. Please help me.
A couple of questions: 1) Why doesn't the TV viewer see the stands holding the reflecting glass? 2) Why isn't the setup visible when a distant camera takes a wide angle view? These questions would apply to a State of the Nation address for example.
That shows the greatness of the work of the director; they are there, you see the speaker, but you don't clearly see the massive screens and their stands. I think it takes an experienced group to setup the whole speech properly, to include cameras, audience and teleprompters.
At 2:25 , why does the woman with the long dark hair say "...so that everybody feels encumbered."? The word "encumbered" means "burdened" or "loaded down with useless rubbish". How does that apply here? Perhaps she meant "engaged"? Perhaps she should have read her speech from a teleprompter. ;-)
Also claims monitors have to be special to reverse the text. That is what the program or app does, reverses the text. Either way dumbing it down or will just say whatever she thinks will make a sale.
They do for outside events so that the speaker can see the monitors more clearly as they can be difficult to read in sunlight. But to answer your question, from the audiences perspective, it looks like the speaker is looking right at them. If it was 1 way mirror, the solid coating would block the speaker’s face for some people.
Louis_J Well, you do need special glass to better reflect the image, but you are correct. The angle of the splitter will prevent the audience from seeing the text. If operators are using older hardware/software, then they would need image flipping monitors, as the laptop might not have the GPU power to flip it and maintain a smooth scroll. Typically speaking it is easier to have the hardware do the flipping as it takes a processing load off of your computer.
Someone get that woman hair conditioner! Forget a brush, that dry mess shoud be cut off-beyond repair. Wow. How could she be unaware? Or maybe thinks it's nice? Knowing she'd be on camera too. Sad.
I always thought it was bulletproof glass to protect the speaker from snipers,
damn i feel stupid now!
vlaerenko lol thought the same
vlaerenko same lol
😂 Makes sense though!
It's as if the snipers would have such a difficult time aiming around those two small glass panes
yeah such an ignorant stupid iam...😂😂😂
It's just glass that reflects a monitor! I thought it was an actual special display that showed the words on it. Herp-a-derp...I feel special.
Not just a glass. It's a beam splitter.

Thanks so much for this video. It answered all my questions about the mysteries of those presidential teleprompters.
That's so true you learn something new every day
SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPLANATION! I'M SO HAPPY I EXPANDED MY KNOWLEDGE BY LEARNING THIS TODAY!
I never knew this!! Thanks for this video! So that's how presidents and other speakers (except Biden) can deliver their speeches so well.
Biden fails even when using it.
whoaaa, i always wondered how those worked.
All this time, I thought it's like a tinted glass to shield the eyes from too much lights on the stage. I also one thought it's a teleprompter but it appears to be just only a transparent glass so there's no way it can reflect.
This is awesome. Thanks for the upload. I didn't know how it worked!!
it's like a head up display in cars.. as you can watch the road and your speedometer the same time.. you can read the text and watch people as if you were reading at the same depth
Cool. I always wonder what those glass shields were

Btw what a magnificent view outside the window!
I thought that was acrylic glass for anti feedback feature on stage soundsystem,
Always wondered what those were in the past!
Now i get it how politicians are able to read scripted shit without seeming to do so !
Excellent product, mate.
1:52 you don't need special monitors. All you have to do is flip the image.

This is really cool!
I came here because I noticed them on the media... since we’ve all been stuck on the media lately...
Hello, Congratulations. Cool. 👍 🙌🙌 👏👏
That was interesting thank you very much now I know knowledge is power
Thank you! Very cool stuff.

you see the stands when you look closely / in images for press they are often PSed away ;)
That shows the greatness of the work of the director; they are there, you see the speaker, but you don't clearly see the massive screens and their stands. I think it takes an experienced group to setup the whole speech properly, to include cameras, audience and teleprompters.

Good catch. I agree. That doesn't make sense. I think she meant to use the word "included."
Also claims monitors have to be special to reverse the text. That is what the program or app does, reverses the text. Either way dumbing it down or will just say whatever she thinks will make a sale.
Wow. Impressive
Thats really cool
Ouhh ini lo.. siaapa yg cek kemari?

Why don’t they use 1 way mirrors

Is that Joey Ramone?
Interesting now I know how this works
always wondered!
They sure do try to talk this up like its some kind of special tech XD
Ya it's just a 2 way mirror
Lol this is how teleprompters have always been except there's no camera behind the glass and the screen is further away

Hey camera guy! This isn’t art! We want to see things. Try to keep your shot steady for longer than .5 seconds! Geez…
Now if they could only teach China Joe to read it properly they would be in good shape.
Great. Another pointless invention for humanity.
Aussie Serb Not at all. The corrupt mainstream media can use it to brainwash people. :D
