I love that he speaks Dutch and theres alot of people watching that doesnt understand this language and still enjoying the video
Velen spreken beide

@@BILLY-px3hw yes, i know that theres subtitles.
Ich spreche deutsch und verstehe dutch. Ist das nicht wundervoll?
My case.
Heerlijk optijd zo :'). Nee echt, goed bezig Mastermilo team!
Thnx!

We have dozens of these 71 detroits, mostly 3-71. They still run after decades in the fields. Sound amazing!
I bought an old 77 ford L8000 dump truck that was flooded to the top of the bed, it had a 6-71 in it, filled with water, 2 stuck injectors and still ran fine. Amazing simple machines. By far the most efficient at turning fuel into noise.
Excellent to see the engine brought back to life!
To prime the fuel system on any Detroit/Gm two stroke diesel you get a hand primer and fuel can and hook to the spare inlet fitting on the secondary filter and pump until return fuel is clear of air. We generally don’t loosen the injector lines to prime as the flare on the end of the line has limited life until it cracks and fills the crankcase with fuel.. Great work and thanks for showing us the Lend Lease copy the Russians used and also made the in-line 6-71N for use in larger equipment. -KTMcandog!
Its absolutely crazy ive been watching your channel for over 10 years now. i remember as a young man finding your channel through your "Wipcar" and thought that you and your friends were having a blast with mechanical goofyness made it super entertaining. Now look at where your channel is today, its amazing progress and the things your a doing now are next level.
The installed reverse gear means that this engine is intended for installation on the boat "БМК-130".
That engine cranking sounds like te beginning of a johnny cash song
Which one?
@@gabrielpanasiuk6064 ok i’ll bite. Try ‘walk the line’ without the guitar intro!
It's never late for a mastermilo video.
Cool sound too

Those 2 stroke diesels sound so awesome!
Back about 40 years ago, I worked part time for a truck shop. We remained a bunch of these for logging outfits. Tweak that rack & injector pinion. Make those little motors scream!!!
Best one we done was a 4-71T in a 1 ton International 4 door pick up truck. It also had a 5 speed Spicer & a 2 speed rear end. I got it 85 from a dead stop in 3rd. Guy I worked for said he run it up 110 " just cruising"!!!
Wat een lekker tuffertje! Goed werk!
Weeeeeer een supervideo!
Ive probably learnt more about diesel servicing and maintenance in this one video than a thousand others!
The plunger sticking on Detroit engines is extremely common when they sat for a while, it's almost guaranteed to happen. 4 things you need when starting a Jimmy, ether, basic tools and a plank to cut off the air if/when she runs away. I've been seeing a lot of these engines show up lately they seem to be old gen units that didn't see much action. Locally where I am it's been an absolute flood of them for sale as of late and for nearly nothing.
I want in on that. Wouldn't mind a 3 or 4 cylinder for shenanigans.
I used that in a BMK-130 Boat in the army in 1995. Strong, tough, powerfull engine with fantastic sound
Good!!
Great vid! Master Milo to the rescue
Dikke pluim👍
Hanford museum has supercharged Detroit diesel of same, really sounds like something at speed. It sits in vintage gmc bus.
Bravo Maestro ! It was funny ans good !!!
That was mint mate .
Great job
Great viedo
awesome sound
Always check the fuel rack (levers that adjust each injector) for proper movement of each injector before starting a Detroit that has sat un-used for a long period. Otherwise you can have a runaway. As found here, the injectors were stuck and needed cleaning, but I didn't see whether the fuel rack was also checked for the full range of movement. You can see it moving once he got it started.
loopt mooi trouwens! goede koop!
this engine told me it wants to sit in the buggy!
It would probably be too heavy, maybe around 800kg for a 4-71.
No way, a truck or a boat.
@@gsp911 and that's why he should do it. Imagine the power
@@remcoterharmsel3147 insane torque!
Heerlijk motortje
Beautiful!! Listen to that Detroit muscle roar..
P.s. Emission control has left the chat
Nice Sound
Lovely slow and steady tik over, once it had been running for a bit .
Hi and thanks!!! What a Beast!!!!😉👍👌✌
Cool vids Grease Meisters, very cool!!
damn been so long since i've watched your channel man ! last time i watched your videos you just got the tank
This sounds so sweet.
Great fun!
Filling the intage before starting is a good way to crack a piston ring.
starter fluid should only be used on a already turning engine for this reason.
The first thing you ALWAYS do when trying to start a 2 stroke Detroit that's been sitting is to pull the valve cover and free up any stuck injectors. He was lucky that the engine didn't start and run away.
Good to see a quality Welsh battery doing its duty in another country 💪💪💪💪lucky it didn’t start and run away when the rack stuck
Dik blok, mooi geluid!
Vet gasten!!
Nice video, thank you. Think worth remembering though, that if an engine's not run for years the oil can look clean on the dip stick as all the muck has settled to the bottom of the sump. Where the dip stick doesn't go, but where the oil pump suction is. Can be water in the sump too with water floating on oil. Won't look emulsified if the water's got in to the crankcase over the years the engine has stood.
Great work aha, runs like a champ haha, thanks for the English translation! Still watch either way 😅
Two stroke diesel - running
Greta Tunberg - painfully dying
ah yes, classic
but two stroke diesels have a pretty high thermal efficency right?
How dare you
But wy are ther Valves ? it i a 4 stroke engin
@@geraldhaller9906 all valves are exhaust.
Cool video
Finallly it started ! 👍
Satisfaction!
NEVER attempt to turn over an engine with mechanical unit injectors unless you are sure the rack isn't stuck! The rack must operate freely without any resistance, and this must be checked both before and after barring the engine over one full revolution. Never attempt to force the rack to move as this may result in damage.
calm down,
this thing would've never start without heater... and he free them up before using any... old engine, old school way...
you sound like a pre-bearded mechanic enthusiast...(no offence though)
... most of the time, after a few turnover, everything free itself like, on its own... lol
Prachtig
Nice sound :)
Hee, stiekem nog een vlog, mooi man.
Lekker mannen!!
Every time someone writes "lekker" in a Dutch comment, I have to think of this one: ua-cam.com/video/4ONl-Oexf6A/v-deo.html - nice beats, but those lyrics...oh my! ;-P
too good
Love the sound of 2 strokes diesel ;-)
Nice video guys :)
There's something really distinctive about Detroit 2-strokes. Great to hear it running. Needs a jake-brake to make it sound right on the over-run though ;)
how beautifull sound.... nice
Quel talent! 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Da klinkt Monster.
2 T Diesel the best beast, what a sound!
My grandfather worked on a MAZ-200 truck with such an engine. Just like that, oil, fuel leaked, and every day it was necessary to control everything
Ahhh, perfect voor optijd voor mijn standaard :)
Mooi man.
this is the engine and gearbox from the boat BMK-2. very capricious. if you want to use this motor for a boat, then it is necessary to strengthen the mounting of the solenoids in the gearbox.
Good engines. I have worked on v16-149’s. In yachts.
Master Milo 🔥⚡😎⚡🔥
Er zit echt een mooi geluid in. 🔝 👍🏻
5:10 Damn those shutter effects on the the fan are some trippy shit.
I heard "lecker" my South African work mate used to say that, I think it meant "good"
Nice video, love an engine start up vid ..
nice device!
Toch sneaky die injectoren gangbaar gemaakt! Geweldig blok.
Subbed!
Diesel klinkt altijd het beste
Great can’t beat fuel being converted into 2STROKE noise
I had v12-92 on generator , nice sound and a lot of power for it size but very very thirsty and didnt last long on full load got overhited alot evenstualy the water flows into the cynders i saw this on time the engine had no damage but need rebuild anyway so i sold it as is for 1.5 k usd and got a caterpilar v16 instead for another 20 . It has more power and less noise.
Bam jonge
In needs some work! But we all know that you guy's can fix what ever it's! 👍
Love your style MasterMilo Sir.................in dutch
The neighbours know when you're working by the clouds of diesel smoke!
